Participants are eliminated upon a tapout or knockout from a submission move. The first team with both competitors eliminated must kiss the ass of the other team as a victory condition.
Ramona Royale leaned against the concrete wall backstage, arms crossed over her chest as she watched Lakelynn bounce on the balls of her feet. The girl couldn't stand still at the best of times, let alone before a match. All that pent-up energy looking for somewhere to go, and tonight it'd be all over two pretty boys who thought they could hang with the Limelight Darlings.
But she couldn't watch her tag mate burn her candle to the base before she set foot in the ring. "Would you stop fidgeting?" Ramona said flatly. "You've made me tired just looking at you."
The other woman whirled on her and appeared affronted, as she often did. "This, Miss Royale, is how I prepare!" Lakelynn shot back, throwing her hands up. "What do you think pop idols do before a show? Stand around and drink water?"
Ramona ran her tongue over her teeth. She... did think that was what pop idols did. She thought, at least, that was what they should do. Perhaps that was why it hadn't worked out for "LK Nova" or whatever she styled herself these days. "Just... fine, if you say so. I can think of better ways to prepare, but you do whatever you need."
Bambi, meanwhile, was checking her reflection in a compact mirror, despite there being a body-length mirror on the wall, adjusting her hair with the kind of focus most people reserved for life-changing decisions... despite the fact that she wore her hair the same... every day. She snapped it shut and slipped it into her gear with the practice ease that spoke to her modeling experience. "I still think we should've gotten the gear matching for this," she observed, inspecting her nails. "Something coordinated. Maybe in black and yellow?"
Of course, in black and yellow. Ramona studied the other woman in her gear before stifling a sigh. "We already look impeccable," Ramona said, her tone making it clear the discussion was over before it started, as she fluffed the skirt on her ringside gear. "What matters is that we go out there, dominate those two bimbo boys, and make everyone remember the Limelight Darlings. The color scheme doesn't matter. We look better as individuals anyway."
"Easy for you to say," Bambi muttered, though there wasn't much heat in it. "You're not the one who's going to go out there and wrestle!"
"I'm the one making sure you two have the strategy you need to win," Ramona cut in smoothly. "So how about less talking, more listening."
She pushed off the wall and stepped closer, looking between them. Lakelynn had finally stopped bouncing, her attention snapping to Ramona like a magnet. Bambi tilted her head, one eyebrow raised, but she was listening too, despite her relatively blank stare.
"Here's how this goes," Ramona said, her voice dropping into that commanding register that both of them knew meant business. "You go out there, you make people love you, and you win. I don't care how pretty these boys think they are - they're still boys. Touch them in the right place a few times, give them a little bit of your womanly wiles, and they'll fold to you."
It looked as if Bambi had to figure out where the right place was, but she finally nodded brightly. "Hell yeah!" Lakelynn pumped her fist, for her part.
Ramona allowed herself a small, sharp smile. They were ready - or as ready as they'd ever be.
The three of them moved as a unit toward the curtain, Ramona trailing just behind. She could hear their entrance music starting to build, and as they reached the curtain, Ramona caught each of their eyes one more time.
"Remember," she said quietly, just loud enough for them to hear over the music. "If we want to be the most important people here, act like it."
And with that, the curtain parted.
The lights hit them immediately - bright, colorful, theatrical. Lakelynn threw her arms up, playing to the crowd with that big, explosive energy she always brought and showing a bit of that idol dance skill as she swung her hips. Bambi struck a pose, all confidence and sex appeal, soaking in the attention like it was her natural element, winking, flirting. And Ramona walked behind them... until she didn't, shifting almost between them as if she had found her red carpet and planned to use it to strut. She needed that limelight, too.
The crowd's reaction was... unfortunately a bit uncertain. Some cheers, some murmurs. Plenty of curiosity, at least. Good. They were being noticed. That was the point.
Lakelynn led the way down the ramp, practically vibrating with excitement, throwing peace signs and finger guns at the crowd. Bambi followed with a more languid stride, hips swaying, blowing a kiss here and there with a smirk that promised trouble. Ramona actually reached the ring first, hopping up on it to pose, thick legs visible beneath her skirt and her top attracting its fair share of catcalls. Good. Very good.
The other two joined her in the following moments, Bambi using the steps and apron like a runway, and Lakelynn simply hopping up and swinging inside. Ramona almost - almost - scowled when their music started to fade after their introduction, but she kept the face card on display as she leaned over the ropes, trying to urge attention back to the three of them even as the lights started to dim and shift toward the stage again, where Love & Lust would appear.
