Erika 'LeDestroyer' LaVoy vs. Aizen Yuzuriha - One More Chance

Unread post by BlackAkuma »

Match Type: Standard
Victory Conditions: Pinfall, submission, or KO

***

Zen was not enjoying his time at LAW. Frankly, he was coming to the conclusion that he’d been sold a bill of bad goods.

When he first joined LAW, he was told that this would be the prime place for competition, that he would fight the absolute best in the world. He was sold on the promise of stiff competition. Of fighters, legit fighters, who could push him to the absolute limits. Of a crucible.

That was not what LAW had been, in his experience. While he knew and expected the league would have its fair share of lesser individuals, he thought that he would, at some point, get to the cream of the crop and be able to fight some of the best fighters in the world. So far, that hadn't happened. Thus far, LAW had only seen fit to provide him with two opponents. There was Trixie, a clown - a literal clown - who, to be fair, was far more formidable than he would’ve expected. Then there was WYVERN, talented and strong, but also MIA for the time being.

And that was it. They had left him high and dry ever since, refusing multiple requests for a worthy opponent. Ignoring him. Aizen wasn’t a prideful man, but he valued his time, and he was beginning to believe it would be better spent elsewhere.

He was on the verge of making his resignation known and dealing with whatever blowback he got from the canceled contract when, like a miracle, they finally remembered his cell phone number and gave him a match. It wasn’t even by design, really - one of their wrestlers had come down with COVID at the least minute, and they needed a last-minute fill-in. But, on the off chance that this ‘Erika Lavoy’ lived up to her hype, he was willing to give it a shot—one more.

His doubts could be seen on his face as he came out of from behind the curtain and made his way down the ramp, his
playing in the background as he descended. The audience didn’t react much to him, which he cared nothing about, beyond the fact that it showed just how he’d been underused since he came here.

He did his best to not think about it as he made his way into the ring and took his spot in the corner. He leaned up against the pads and focused on his breathing exercises, making sure his raging mind was under control. If this was to be his last match with the company, then he was going to end it quick, with minimal delay.
Aizen is ready.

If the crowd hadn't reacted that much to Aizen, then it was a different tune as the next competitor's theme music began to blare.

The crowd burst into cheers as a powerfully-built blonde strode down the ramp, pumping a fist in the air as she rallied the cheering crowd. Smiling early, she raced down the ramp, excitedly hi-fiving audience members as she went. Erika LaVoy had only been in LAW for a short time; during that time, though, she had stood out for two reasons. The first was that she never took down any challenger, no matter who; the second was that her shining, friendly personality was a definite change from the surliness, arrogance, meanness or stoic indifference the LAW crowd saw from so many of their other competitors, and it was a refreshing change.

As Erika continued to hi-five her way down the ramp, she slid under the ropes and then hopped up on the turnbuckle, raising both of her arms to the cheering fans, before dropping down onto the mat again, seemingly noticing her opponent for the first time. Smiling, she brushed her blonde hair back and strode over to Aizen. This close, the sheer difference in size between the two fighters became very much apparent.

"So you're Aizen, huh?" Still beaming, Erika extended a hand to him. "Pleased to meet ya! I'm Erika. I'm sorry to say I haven't seen any of your matches, but either way, here's hoping we can have an awesome match!"

No mockery. No trash talk. No pointing at their size difference, or putting Aizen down in any other way. It was as though Erika was the stereotype of overly-nice Canadians brought to life.

There were a great many things that Aizen could’ve noticed about Erika the moment she came from the back and headed his way. He could’ve taken note of the crowd’s reaction, yes - they were clearly happy to see her, giving her a proper heroes welcome. He could’ve noted how she responded in kind, giving hi-fives and returning their vibe. He could’ve noticed the bounce in her step, clearly eager for this battle.

But all of that was, ultimately, irrelevant. What stood out to him most was her size - to put it in as few words as possible, she was a huge woman.

Not the biggest he had seen in LAW, the place had quite a few giantesses. But certainly up there, more than he was expecting in this matchup. Solidly built, too, with an ample amount of muscles that brought a bodybuilding form to mind.

And she had no fear, either, as she walked right up to him and extended her hand for a shake. He stared at her for a moment, as if trying to analyze her, but if she was mocking him or hiding some intent, she did an excellent job of not showing it.

”Erika-san.” He shook her hand with a firm grasp and nodded.. ”Likewise. I look forward to an excellent match.”

With that Aizen did a few quick stretches as he waited for the bell to ring, getting limbered up properly, his gaze never leaving Erika for a second. While he stayed placid on the side, he was felling a bit more motivated now - his opponent at least had the look of someone dangerous. He wasn’t an optimistic, but he felt safe in calling that a good omen, until proven otherwise.

Well, Aizen certainly seemed nice.

From the outset, he didn't engage in any pointless trash talk, or call her any mean airs, or try to puff himself up and talk down to her like some pro wrestling Vegeta. No, AIzen kept his interactions quiet, soft-spoken, and respectful, and Erika absolutely loved that in her opponents whenever she got to see it. She squeezed his hand in a firm shake: she already had a good feeling about this match. Plus, physically, Aizen was absolutely no slouch, with plenty of lean muscle on him without being overly built. He was the sort of guy Erika might be into, if she were into guys: as it was, she was just happy that he looked like he would be able to hang with her in the ring.

Backing up to her corner, Erika noted the way Aizen was staring her down, and continued to smile back at him. And then the bell rang: confidently striding out of her corner, Erika dropped into a gorilla position and began to circle him, motioning for a lockup. "Come on," she said, her friendly smile turning into a confident, competitive grin, "I want to see if those muscles of yours are just for show."

There went the bell. Game on.

Aizen came out of his corner and began to strafe out of the ring right away, keeping equidistant from her as they circled. The whole time, he kept her locked in his gaze, as he tried to come up with a good game plan for how to take this.

Erika was big, strong, tough. Those were always interesting to deal with, since the best strategy, he found was to hit them far more often than they hit him, wear them down with constant fire and drain their stamina. Was that viable with Erika, though? She seemed like a ball of energy.

He needed data, needed to get a feel for what she was working. Thus, he needed to engage.

Aizen abruptly broke off the circling and charged in, full bore, with his arms up for a collar-and-elbow tie-up. He doubted he would be able to overpower her, but that wasn’t the goal, really - no, he was looking to get a good sense for exactly what he was dealing with, and the best way to make that happen was to get in there and experience it for himself.

For a moment, Aizen seemed hesitant to engage with Erika directly. This was understandable, given the size difference between them, but Erika wasn't going to give him much time or space to make up his mind: she began to close the distance between them, deciding that one way or another she was going to force Aizen into this fight.

And then, as she did so, Aizen suddenly seemed to make up his mind: almost recklessly, he came charging in, tying up with her aggressively. For a moment, the two wrestlers collided in a twisting grapple, and even Erika was caught off guard by the sheer speed of Aizen's assault. Surprised enough that she was forced back a step.

Then she dug into the mat and pushed back, aggressively, a smile on her face as she tried to force him to backpedal all the way to the corner...

Erika was strong. Of course Erika was strong. Even so, Aizen figured he might be able to catch her off guard with the bold charge and gain some ground on her. He didn’t think it would last, but the element of surprise could go a long way, and he needed to take every opportunity.

And, to his credit, it did work. Just not nearly as well as he would’ve liked.

A step. A single step. That was all Aizen could earn before Erika turned the tables and pushed back into him with a ceaseless, unrelenting force. He stumbled back, one step after the other, until he was practically skidding across the ring on his bare feet, a path that only stopped when she had him pressed up against the turnbuckle.

Aizen tried to push his way for one second before he realized how futile that was and raised his arms, waiting for her to back off - either at the referee’s urging, or on her own accord.

They moment they were against the turnbuckle, Erika smiled and released Aizen, taking a step back. She didn't kick him in the midsection, she didn't clobber him while he was trapped. She obeyed the instructions of the ref and backed away from her opponent, giving him time to recover.

"Is that it, Aizen?" she teased. "Come on, I thought you had a little more power than that!" She backed away and gestured for Aizen to come after her. "Show me what you got!"

That was power. True power.

The crowd chuckled as Aizen was pushed back, but he frankly didn’t see the amusement. He’d done what he set out to do, wanting to get a better measure of Erika’s power, and he certainly had that now. Good, explosive strength. If anything, she was stronger than she looked, which seemed hard to fathom. But how did her fundamentals hold up?

Aizen sought to find out. He came out of the corner with arms up, and despite the way it had turned out last time, he charged straight towards his opponent. For a second, it looked like he hadn't learned his lesson - until he ducked under grasp, swung around behind the big woman, and reached out to grasp her around the waist, trying to pull her into a tight waistlock to assert control.

Erika grinned as she watched Aizen. Right now, the guy was clearly re-evaluating his mode of attack, figuring out that Erika was just too large and powerful to tackle head-on. That suited Erika fine: she was more than a little curious to see what Aizen would do. Of course, if he was second-guessing himself, then that would obviously work in her favour, as well.

With a flash of movement, Aizen darted right at her, and Erika tensed...only for Aizen to dart right under her guard, coming up behind her. Before Erika could react, Aizen's arms were wrapped around her waist, biceps locking tightly around her waist to assert control.

Erika simply smiled more at this. "Oh, nice one!" she exclaimed, already grabbing for Aizen's wrists. "Don't stop there, let's see if you can lift me! Come on, go for a suplex!" Even as she said this, though, she would start to slowly but surely try to pry Aizen's wrists apart, making it harder and harder for him to hold onto her...and, hopefully, spurring him into a decision of whether to act or not.
