Another night, another mixed match.
But tonight, was not freaking out over her opponent nor the conditions. In the locker room, she sat on her phone, researching what she could off the name she was given. Ashley, or Ash as he went by, was not the woman Audrey had been expecting. Normally, that might have upset her, but Ash was not like most of her previous male opponents. He was only half a foot taller than her, and far more slender and lithe than she'd seen in the past.
More importantly than his size, though, was his attitude. As far as she could tell, he was not the cocky, holier-than-thou type that she'd normally been pit against. No, Ash seemed to be a far more respectable fighter. Even with their incoming match allowing for lewder techniques freely, Audrey took less issue if it was coming from someone she could respect.
Audrey's theme began, and she hesitated just a beat to let it hype her up before she moved towards the entrance ramp. Her signature sparkler in hand, she stopped just after going through the doorway, striking a pose for the crowd which earned her cheers and more than a few whistles. She was in higher spirits than most mixed matches, so it was a rare treat for her to slap the palms of the fans as she moved, dancing towards the ring, skirt flaring out whenever she twirled.
The redhead sprung up onto the ring apron, leaning her back against the ropes and drawing a heart in midair with her sparkler before dropping it into the waiting water to snuff it out. She then slipped between the ropes and retreated to her corner to await her foe, somewhat more excited for a mixed match than she had been in some time.
