Standing in the ring, awaiting his latest opponent, was the young, cute, speedo-clad Rai Kamiya, the Japanese rookie anxiously waiting his next opponent in the law ring, while, in his mind, he mulled over a disturbing occurance he had noticed.

...He didnt even get an entrance this time...

Technically that wasnt true. His music played, the titantron above the ramp showed his name, he came out as usual, to the same reception of name calling and taunts from the crowd, but he noticed that none of the tv cameras near the ring had their recording lights on during his walk to the ring, which meant he was likely coming out...during the commercial break.

Great. Truly a sign that his career was going well, 7 matches in.

The boy sighed, and tried not to let it get to him, which was easier said than done, as he stretched his lightly muscled limbs and awaited his opponent.

Li was sitting in the locker room, patiently waiting for the previous fight to finish, she was supposed to enter second anyway so she figured she'd have plenty of time but right as it crossed her mind, one of the venue workers ran into the locker room, asking her to go now as her opponent was already in the ring. Looking back at the TV in the room, however, she saw the advertisements were still running, still, she might at least go there and take a look she supposed. And it just so happened that her opponent was in fact already there and she simply waited for the crew's signal that the ads were over before walking in.

As her music played, Li simply walked down the ramp, she was not trying to put on a show or anything of the sort, she was here to do one simple thing and that was fight, it would need to suffice for all the show she'd give. Soon enough she'd make her way up the steps and between the ropes, taking a look at her opponent as she went to her corner. She cocked her head a bit confused when looking at her opponent who both looked lost and like he didn't quite belong there, putting him up against her of all people seemed needlessly cruel. Still, they were here now and she had to deal with what she got.

Rai's concerns that he had come out during the commerical break were confirmed when it took noticeably longer for his opponents theme to start playing after his ended... and the look of his opponent did nothing to ease his concerns either.

This Le Wei, a relative new comer to the league, with less matches than even Rai so far, looked... well, frankly, terrifying. Clad in sports bra and gym shots that exposed much of her body, Rai could see 2 important features on her.

First off, she was RIPPED, her entire body was bulging with powerful toned muscles, clearly indicating her dedication towards her training and workout, her abs alone looked more solid than his entire body!

Second, was the scars. Long, intertwining scars, covering the whole of her exposed flesh, some extremely large and long, and one even covering part of her face. It made her look even MORE badass and intimidating than she already looked!

This...this match was going to suck for him, wasnt it?

He shook his head as his opponent entered the ring, determined to not let fear and trepidation bring him down before the match had even started!

Taking a deep breath, the speedo clad boy walked across the mat on his bare feet, until him and his opponent were only an arms length apart, and held his arm out for a handshake, offering the woman a friendly smile, and hoping his natural cuteness would have an effect.

"Hi there! Im Rai, Rai Kamiya...its...nice to meet you, lets uh...lets have a fun match?

Did he sound nervous? Definitely, but he held his hand out anyway, hoping for the best!

As the referee called them to the centre, Li stepped forward, still taxing her opponent as if expecting she missed something that would explain why they were paired up, her thinking was put to a stop when she heard him speak, he was nervous. Nerves were not necessarily bad, they kept a fighter sharp, alert and stopped him from making stupid mistakes, there was a level of nerves though that was just plain bad and it looked like this was it. It was the last piece of the puzzle Li needed to know what was going on and though she did not like the answer she got, it was way out of her hands to do anything about it

"Li-Wei Yun, pleasure" She said, giving the boy a firm handshake, her tone and expression staying completely neutral throughout before the referee ordered them both to their corner for the match to begin.

"DING!"

The bell rang and Li in a fluid motion went from neutral to her fighting stance, somewhere between wrestling and muay thai long guard. She would start getting closer after that, step by step until she was a couple of inches outside of her range, then she'd take a step forward turning on the heel of her lead leg as she'd spin, extending her leg back when she was faced away from Rai to land a spinning back kick on the tip of his chin! By all means, it was a move to end fights and one that Li used to a lot of success in the past but maybe if they boy could avoid it, she would be proven wrong.

While Rai still seemed nervous, just Le Wei being willing to shake his hand and greet him in a friendly manner allowed him to relax at least a little, his shoulders noticeably losing some of their tension, his slim body relaxing a little as he turned to walk back to his corner on his bare feet.

The bell rang before he made it all the way, and, realizing he had been moving too slowly, Rai turned around to face his opponent, needing to be ready for what no doubt was coming his way...


...but it was already too late.

Rai never saw it coming. He heard footsteps approach, turned, felt a brief whisp of wind as something hurled towards him at great speed...and then all went black.

The heel of Le Wei's boot smashed into Rai's chin, knocking his head upward....and the young boys body crumpled to the mat, unmoving and still, apart from his breathing and a few spasms!

The crowd went wild, cheering at the sudden, swift, and devastating blow delivered to the speedo clad rookie, who, judging by his limp body on the mat and the way his eyes rolled into the back of his head, had been knocked completely unconscious in a single devastating blow!

Step, turn, kick, a brief moment of resistance as all the force needed was transferred to the target, a burst of further motion after as it was sent to the ground, land, turn and look. That was all this match had as Li's opponent, much like she predicted fell to the ground and was definitely not getting up, not a match she'd like but at the very least it did not take too much of her time.

The bell didn't ring though, in a moment of confusion making Li look at the referee who made no motion to stop the match even though Rai was clearly out and if anything, could need a medical check-up. Then she realized what sort of circus she was in and sighing she walked over to the boy, planting a foot on his chest to begin a pin and finish this match properly

The crowd had been fairly silent so far, given they knew nothing of Le Wei, and while they had seen Rai before, his status as a smoll jobber meant they often only reacted to jeer or insult him.

The moment Le Wei made her move though, and her kick connected with a sickening "CRACK" that echoed to the ceiling, the crowd exploded with a loud "OHHHHH!" that went around the arena, people, en masse, rising to their feet as Rais limp body crashed to the mat, the arena flashing with pictures being taken of the scene, or filming the various replays of the devastating kick that played on the titantron, from multiple angles!

For a moment, the chinese woman stood there, staring down at the unconscious boy who had neither deserved no earned her wrath, his eyes rolled in the back of his head, his body entirely limp save for the slight rising and falling of his chest from shallow breaths, and the occassional spasm of his limbs, before placing a foot on his chest, not realizing that the picture of this moment would become iconic for her career, and the referee girl finally dropped down to her knees, and the entire crowd counted with her as one.

"ONE!"

"TWO!"

"THREE!"

Just like that, mercifully, it was over, and the audience roared and applauded for the chinese woman as her name was announced in victory, the defeated boy left forgotten by all when she would leave the ring, having had a star making performance with just a single kick!

Rai, meanwhile, had his limp body stretchered out of the ring and taken to the back, where he'd be awoken with smelling salts. While luckily, he sustained no lasting damage, his alreadly small pride had been dealt a blow more devastating than the one that KOed him, and whenever he incidentally crossed paths with Le Wei backstage or in the locker room, he made a point of avoiding her as much as he possible could!, for good reason!
