Facing Your Demons: Gohan vs Oni

"The following contest is scheduled for one fall... Introducing first, from the mountains of Japan, weighing in at 165 lbs... The Prodigy... Gohan"

Gohan's entrance music begins to play and he emerges at the top of the entrance ramp sporting his purple shorts and black boots.

Gohan begins shadowboxing and he throws a couple punches, not only to warm up, but for the crowd as well. The crowd's cheers began to build and climaxes as soon as Gohan throws his fist in the air. He makes his way down the entrance ramp occassionally throwing a couple punches in front of him to keep him loose and ready to go.

Gohan is getting pretty used to walking up and down this ramp and build the crowd's hype up so he's walking with a lot more confidence than he had in his previous matches. He makes his way up the steel steps and through the middle ropes and into the ring. At the center of the ring, he showcases more of his footwork and punches before raising his fist up in the air one last time for the crowd before taking his spot in his corner.

Gohan lightly jumps up in down as he waits. He has no idea who his opponent tonight will be, but he'll give it his all regardless.

Suddenly, the lights grew dim until it was almost pitch-black. But then, fire erupted from the entry stage, and the lights became a Hellish red as ominous music began to play.



"And his opponent! From Osaka, Japan, weighing in at a mighty 455 lbs., and standing seven feet, two inches tall! ONI!!!"

Standing on the stage, Oni was waiting, watching Gohan from behind his mask as he slowly made his way down the ramp, his eyes never leaving the man. Once at the rings edge, he stepped up onto it and over the ropes. Making his way to the center, he raised one hand up slowly before balling it into a fist and slamming it into the ground. Fire erupted from the top of the turnbuckles as the lights returned to normal.

As his opponent made his way down the ramp, Gohan respectfully rolled out of the ring, so as to not interfere with his opponent's entrance sequence. Gohan's confidence remained unshaken, despite the fact that his opponent continued to grow in size as he walked towards the ring. His opponent wore a demon mask and as the announcer called out his name, Gohan thought, "An Oni indeed... this should be fun!"

Once the pyrotechnics were over, Gohan slid back into the ring and into the corner opposite of his opponent. Gohan watched as his opponent was patted down by the referee and prepared himself for a patdown.

The referee finished checking both competitors and called for the bell. Gohan stood in a defensive position waiting for his opponent to make the first move. He knew that if he was gonna take this giant down, he would have to be smart about it.

Oni crossed his arms, growling softly as he waited for his opponent to make the first move.

While certainly a savage brute, he wanted to see what he was up against before going all out.

Standing ominously across from him, Oni just stared at Gohan with his arms cross. It seems his opponent is also waiting for him to make the first move. With the crowd beginning to get restless, Gohan decides to make the first move.

Gohan approaches Oni with caution, raising his right hand to invite his opponent in for a test of strength. However, Gohan knew there was a good chance his opponent could over power him. So if his opponent goes for the test of strength, Gohan would duck under his opponent's hand and strike the back of his legs with a few kicks to try to shake Oni's foundation.

Oni saw him attempting for a test of strength, unaware of his true intentions. So he accepted his challenge, locking his hand with Gohan's.

Gohan saw Oni begin to reach out for his hand, but before his opponent could make contact, Gohan quickly took his hand back and ducked down and under Oni's hand and behind him. From here, Gohan proceeded to throw a series of kicks to the back of Oni's legs in an attempt to shake his opponent's foundation.

Oni fell right into his trap. But each kick did little to budge him, let alone bring him down.

Gohan's kicks to the back of Oni's knees weren't as effective as he would have hoped. After the fourth kick, Gohan decides to step back before running forward and charging at his opponent's barely softened legs.

Though a little risky, since the last thing Gohan wants is to be caught by his, still, fresh opponent, he knew that if he wanted to take Oni down, he's gonna have to take some risks in the process.

Oni tanked his charge before picking him up and slamming him back down with a vicious powerbomb.

"Surely you can do better than this." Oni said.
