Oscar Orelash VS. Kelani Alex: Growing as a person

For Oscar's next match in LAW, this one was... odd. After he had made a positive tweet about his Twitter buddy Honie Bee qualifying for LAW's Apex event, someone who he learned was a new face in LAW's mixed division suddenly messaged him with only one word in the form of a meme about growing as a person. Despite asking for clarification, Oscar got none. The next thing he knew, Oscar was booked to fight against this person in a match- a match that would make it the first time he fought another man since he joined LAW. It certainly wasn't an issue or anything- but he was surprised since MVM matches were insanely rare in LAW.

Finishing tying up his boots and hearing his cue, Oscar rolled his neck and got ready as his theme played on the speaker

With that, Oscar marched out onto the ramp with his torch in hand and Spewed his lantern fuel out of his mouth into the flames- blasting a fireball into the air before letting out a mighty laugh! He marched down the ramp after passing the props to some workers, giving high-fives and fist bumps to fans before climbing into the ring and entering his corner, waiting for this twitter guy to make their entrance. Time to see who this person is...

Oscar watched Kelani make his entrance with a raised eyebrow, noting his lack of appreciation with the audience. This was a bit of a red flag in his mind as it got him thinking that Kelani might not be the friendliest of opponents. Nonetheless, Oscar waited for the man to enter the ring and walked over to him. He did his best to appear friendly in case he was wrong about Kelani as he extended his hand out for a friendly handshake.

"So... not quite sure what all that stuff on Twitter was about or why management thought that was enough to book a match... but still- nice to meet you, Kelani! You ready to put on a show for these people?"

"Oh! That makes a lot more sense!"

Oscar smiled and let out a hearty, friendly laugh as he shook Alex's hand before letting go and going back to his corner. He would notice his opponent's quick frown and would return it with a competitive smirk.

"Alrighty then- Alex it is. I'll let you know now- I ALWAYS give every match I'm a part of one hundred and then percent no matter who I face. I'll be expecting that you give the same here for the wonderful people in the audience tonight. You feel up to the challenge?"

"Is that so?"

Oscar hummed at Alex's comment about previous opponents of his boasting to bring their best only to complain about something when they get taken down.

"If you believe I'm anything like that, you clearly haven't done your research on my previous matches- especially my losses. So when I say I'm giving it my all, I MEAN it. You have my word as someone who believes in sportsmanship and a fellow competitor"

Oscar finished warming up as the bell rang. The Barbarian Prince would walk out of his corner and take a defensive stance.

"With that cleared up, come and show me how bring your fire burns! Bring it on!"

Luckily for Oscar, the Barbarian Prince had some experience with dealing with kicks and had the reflexes to deal with them (thanks Antonia!). Quickly tightening his arm, Oscar brought it down low to block the sneaky kick and grunted a bit in the process. In response, Oscar would step forward and attempt to swing his other arm at Alex for a good ol' forearm strike across his cheek!

Oscar may have experience when it came to blocking strike and kicks, but he was still a rookie! The feint worked against the Barbarian Prince as when he went to block, Alex would nail him with the Enziguri! Oscar let out a loud "GUH" as he stumbled back from his opponent, holding his head.

"Urg... why does everyone keep kicking me?

Oscar muttered to himself as he tried to get his bearings together!

The dropkick connected and sent Oscar stumbling back, the man gritting his teeth as he saw Alex go for the ropes. Seeing an opportunity to strike back, Oscar would charge forward and attempt to throw himself into his opponent- attempting to knock Alex clean off his feet with a big spear tackle!

Oscar grinned as his spear tackle worked- pushing off the canvas and grabbing Alex's arms to try and attempt to haul his opponent over his shoulders. He'd keep him there for a moment and if everything went right, Oscar would slam Alex into the canvas with a samoan drop!
