Patrice Juillet vs. Karbon Mannering: Never Trust An Idol

Post by Mkmd13 »

During what should have been an intermission in the matches on tonight's card, Karbon comes storming out backstage with a microphone in his hand. His music and entrance not even hitting which left a hushed tone in the air with the crowd. They knew something was about to go down right now. The knight has been on a losing streak as of recently and it seems that he may know what the issue could be and was about to tell the whole crowd right here, right now. The stairs were still placed on the outside corner of the ring and Karbon would stomp his way up them and then through the middle rope. Once he got into the center of the ring, he placed the microphone up to his mouth and began to speak.

"If there is one thing I can't stand than you hicks in the crowd, is the girls I've been forced to wrestler each and every night here in LAW!" The audience would erupt in boos during the first stinging comment about them, "Shut up! Did I tell you that you could speak when I'm speaking!?" He barked back at him before recomposing himself and continued, "Every single time it's been a ridiculous gimmick after ridiculous gimmick and I'm getting tired of it! Can't I, for once, wrestler against a girl who is normal around here!? Is that really too much to ask!?" The knight would then headbutt the microphone a couple of times in frustration and then began again, "I mean, seriously, where do these woman come up with these insane gimmicks!? What's next? I have to face some sort of idol or something? How dumb would that be?"

Just as those words left his mouth, a cold sweat would begin to form down the back of his neck. They say, "be careful what you say in LAW, it might just come true..." and as he just remembered that line, Karbon felt like he just said his own fate. "Bah, like there really is an idol that wrestlers here in LAW." He said that to try and brush it off, but he knew that was a lie. He's seen girls that looked like idols backstage and he really was hoping none of them were here tonight.

Re: Patrice Juillet vs. Karbon Mannering: Never Trust An Idol

Patrice Juillet was backstage in the LAW arena. Being a new arrival in the league, the French Actress still had some things to clear out and arrange. One of them was her collection of cosplay outfits... It was rather extensive, but she had definitely wanted to still bring it all into the LAW with her! There were always crazy events happening in the ring, and exciting outfits and curious gimmicks only enhanced the show... Thus, no reason to leave her wardrobe behind!

Trying out her outfits to ensure that they had survived the transportation undamaged, Trice was looking herself from all angles in front of her mirror in the locker room, while keeping an eye on tonight's show and matches on the screens provided. Having just ensured the condition of another one of her outfits, Trice sat down for a moment as she noticed the cameras showing a rather agitated guy having suddenly made his way into the ring. Now what was all this about?

And wow, he seemed to be angry. He was angry with having to perform in front of the crowds... He was angry with having to wrestle against other wrestlers. Huh? Why was he here then?!?

Trice's initial confusion did not seem to be dissipating at all, as he the began insulting wrestlers with gimmicks. Now what was that?!? Gimmicks were only exciting in wrestling! And now he was demanding an opponent who was "normal"? What even was "normal"?!? Some college Greco-Roman wrestler? Is that what he wanted?

Well, at least he didn't want an idol. That was for sure... Trice chuckled at the thought, being well aware that there were many idol wrestlers present in LAW and Japan in general. And why was he even so afraid of them? It wasn't like idols were the scariest, or...

And then Trice glanced at the mirror. Ha! In fact, there was one idol present right now! The French Actress had, coincidentally, just been trying out her Innocent Idol outfit, and was fully wearing it right now! This... This was a sign! She had to go show this dude that there was nothing to be angry about, or afraid of!

Patrice Juillet - Starring Tonight as the Innocent Idol!

Obviously, this was now all unplanned, and thus, there was going to be no music whatsoever for the appearing idol either. In fact, few even noticed her figure walking down the ramp, while those closest by who did recognize her form mostly erupted in laughter. And if Karbon was eventually going to turn his head towards where that laughter was coming from, he would eventually see a cute idol climbing into the ring, sliding herself between the ropes into the spotlight!

Raising a microphone that she had grabbed on the way to her lips, Trice naturally had a few things to say. "Well, hey there, mister..." she started off with a very cute and friendly, idolish tone. "Why so angry? Got some idol issues?" Trice then proceeded to tease, approaching the guy in the middle of the ring. "Don't worry, we are not scary! And we are comp-lete-ly harmless!" she the continued with a bright, high and innocent tone. Ending up right in front of him so that her body was practically pressed against his, the blonde looked up to his face, making all effort on giving out an oh-so-cute impression of herself. "And being an idol is not a gimmick... It's Life!" she concluded, almost whispering her last words... And making bold claims despite being fully aware that this was the first time that anyone was seeing this particular idol that had just made her appearance anywhere.

Karbon would continue on with his rant as more boos would direct their attention at him for both taking up time and bashing wonderful gimmicks that LAW produces. Then, something strange began to happen. The knight would start to hear some laughter from the crowd and stopped his rant to see what was going on. He turned his attention towards the source and looked up the rampway and saw a girl who was dressed as an idol start to walk down, "You got to be kidding me..." He said out loud and the microphone would pick it up.

The girl would then get into the ring with him as the knight put the microphone back up to his mouth and said, "Alright, who the hell are you?" Even with Karbon's harsh tone, the girl would keep a light, almost carefree voice and asked him why he was so angry, "Weren't you listening five minutes ago? I'm angry because of all these lame and atrocious gimmicks I have to keep facing! I just used and idol as an example!" She would then get closer to him and say that idol's aren't scary and completely harmless, "Ha! I know how you idols are! You appear all cute and innocent on the outside, but on the inside you're as vicious as they come!"

She would then get close enough so that they were basically touching one another as she said her last remark to him, "Life? As if! You just do it all for the cash that you can sap out of your poor fans." The crowd would boo once more as cheers for the idol girl began to begin, "So what's your name and why did you come out here?"

Patrice was just laughing hilariously inside as she heard Karbon lamenting her appearance. This was way too funny... Why was he so serious?!? Why was he so full of baseless anger?!? And once he continued rambling on about how much he hated gimmicks - especially idols - it only served to rile Trice up further, and in a way that made her really want to put on quite a performance for the crowds!

On one thing this guy was spot on though... Idols could certainly be vicious, and in fact, that was exactly what Trice was planning to prove tonight! But of course, not letting everyone to clearly see it in the process... She really wanted to embarrass and beat him up, but in as inconspicuous way as possible! Of course, she absolutely needed to appear all cute and innocent tonight... Exactly as he feared!

Trice then expressed a fake shock on her face when Karbon made his accusations of idols just sapping their fans out of their money. Raising her other hand in front of her mouth, she looked around at the crowds, seemingly devastated by his words. "Oooh... You poor boy! You are so misled..." she began lamenting her words, before closing in on him once again. "But it's OK, I'll show you how idols are re-al-ly like!" the blonde then added with a comforting tone.

"And you don't know me?" she then began wondering, while being perfectly aware that also practically none of the crowds could recognize her... She had only had one match so far in LAW, and now she was wearing a whole different cosplay outfit! And her blonde hair, and French accent were revealing that she for sure wasn't a genuine local idol either... But nevertheless, the crowds were still clearly approving of her!

Trice then leaned over once again towards Karbon's ear, whispering into it - and into the mic: "I'm Jackie..." before retreating a step, and changing her tone to once again an overly cheerful, and oh-so-innocent one. "And you said that idols were tiring you out... So I came here to put you to sleep!"

Hearing her statement about him being misled would raise an eyebrow on his face, "Misled!? How am I misled when the evidence is all over the place?" Before he could begin to explain though, the girl would lean in close to say she'll show him just how idols are really like. This would send a shiver down the man's spine as he took a step back, "Like I really believe that." He said now shaking his head.

"Of course I don't know you. I don't even follow idols in the first place so even if you were some super famous idol, I still wouldn't have a clue." If there were any truth to Karbon's previous statements, this one would be 100% on the mark. The knight never kept up on the idol scene and getting beat up by one before really didn't help that cause either.

The girl would then get close to him again and whisper in his ear that her name was Jackie, "Jeez, do you really need to get so close? Haven't you heard of personal space?" He said, backing up again. "I mean, with all the talking you've been doing, I could fall asleep right here just on pure boredom." Like he was really one to talk on that, but he didn't care. "Listen, either you get your butt out of my ring or I'll be forced to do so right here, right now!" The knight would then drop the microphone and began to crack his knuckles to try and show her that he meant business!

Sure, Patrice was an excellent actress, and when she wanted to sound anything but threatening and all innocent instead, she surely was capable of doing so. Thus, it wasn't too much of a surprise that her hidden threat of putting Karbon to sleep did go rather unnoticed by the guy... Ot then he really did just condescend her enough to ignore all that, considering it as just pure nonsense. Either way, Trice was sure that that kind of arrogance was only going to backfire him... She would make sure of it!

"YOUR ring?!?" the blonde idol then began in an astonished and confused tone. "Your ring?!? What makes this your ring?!?" she continued, before giving an amused look for the crowds. "So, it was you who invited the previous two wrestlers to battle it out in your ring? It was you who set up the first match of the night?" Her tone was turning all the time increasingly mocking of his words. "Why did you invite that idol to wrestle here yesterday then... You hate us, right?" Trice was clearly seeing how he was cracking his knuckles, but did not let it affect her at all.

Taking a few steps back towards Karbon, all the way that he had just retreated, the blonde idol wanted to once again place herself right in front of him. She had no intention of letting go of her microphone... "Well, what if I say that this is MY stage? 'Cause I think it is..." she then let out in a teasing, rather confident tone. "And what I also think is that based on how much you seem to hate idols, you must have a severe case of stage-fright yourself! So, do you wanna call it quits already, or do you insist on having a little tussle first before I'll make you quit?"

It appears as though his last little comment about her getting out of his ring struck a nerve since it looks like Patrice was beginning to lose her cool a bit. The microphone was now out of his hand, but he continued to talk to her, even though the crowd wasn't able to hear him anymore. "Of course it's my ring! What makes it MY is the fact that I own anyone and everything that steps into it!" Just another lie that Karbon was saying, but he hoped that Patrice didn't look at his win loss record before coming down here. "Heh, I could care less who comes to fight in here. I only care who comes in here when I'M in the ring."

As she got closer and closer to Karbon again, she than began to spout some nonsense now that this was her stage, "Your stage!? That last time I checked, stages don't have ropes all around them." He said, trying to state the obvious to her. It looks like she is beginning to try and egg him on though by saying that he has stage fright, "Right, as if I have any stage fright. I mean, I just came out here in front of all these people to both bash them and bash all these lame gimmicks in LAW."

Then, her last words is what struck the cord to the knight. She actually had the nerve to tell him to quit or have a fight with her! "Wahahahahaha!!! Are you serious right now!? You want to fight me!?" Karbon couldn't help himself but to double over in laughter that she made that challenge to him, "Wait? You truly want to fight me? Of all people? Sure, I accept your challenge, but don't come crying to me when I break that pretty little face of yours!" Karbon would then motion to the back to have a referee sent down here to make the match official.

Karbon may have seemed to dismiss Trice's concept of a stage, but to the French blonde, the world was a stage, and she was merely a player... And so was Karbon going to be, tonight. Whether he was going to like it or not... But that was going to be none of her problem. Her only intention was to have fun and put on a good show, and she couldn't have cared less whether he was going to win any Oscars for his efforts.

By now he was no longer acting though, he was genuinely annoyed. That much was obvious from the fact that he was no longer talking to the microphone, but straight to her face. Patrice tried to hide it, just a bit, but it was probably obvious from the look on her face that Karbon first bashing the audience, and then accepting to fight her in an outraged tone was making her feel very satisfied... The guy was getting riled up exactly in the way she thought he would... Now she had to just find out a way to actually beat him.

Oh, but first, she just had to tell the audience the terrible things that he had said! As Karbon began motioning for a referee, Patrice turned around right in front of him to face the crowds again, and pressing her back and behind "accidentally" against Karbon's front in the process. "OH, did you hear THAT?!?" the blonde began addressing the crowds again in the microphone in a shocked tone. "He mocked you! He just wants to bash you! He thinks that you're worth nothing!" she continued, really trying to rile up the crowds against him now. "And he also said that if you have anything to say about it, you should all cheer for me to beat him! Look, he even got a referee down here now!" the blonde then concluded, pointing at the official that was just making her way inside the ring between the ropes.

As the referee started to make his way down to the ring. The crowd started to get pumped up for this impromptu match. Patrice though, started to use this and played it to her advantage. She faced the crowd as she turned her back to him and used him basically as a resting spot. The knight was about to deck her right then and there, but the words that started to come out of her mouth stopped him. She began to tell them that he was mocking, bashing, and telling them that they were worth nothing. That's nothing new, he always told the crowd that, but it was the other thing that she said is what gave him pause.

Patrice would then announce that they should all cheer for her to beat him and that was the reason why he brought the referee down. If the audience fell for this kind of blatant lie, then they were a lot dumber than he gave them credit for. And you know what? They bought it hook, line, and sinker. They all started to chant Patrice's name as the referee finally got into the ring and addressed the both of them. Karbon was already ready to go and needed no further action from him but to ring the bell. The idol was still using him as a resting post when he finally placed both hands on her shoulders and shoved her off of him.

The referee would take this as the first sign that the match has officially started and motioned for the time keeper to ring the bell. DING DING DING! The bell finally rang out and the match was underway! Karbon looked at Patrice would was now looking back at him and said, "You just made the worst mistake of your life!" After say that, he rushed in, looking to try and lay her out with a clothesline!

Patrice was feeling how well her hyping up the crowds was working, and even if she was dressed tonight as "The Innocent Idol", it was still somewhat of a surprise to her how readily they were already beginning to chant her name! "Japan surely loves their idols..." the blonde thought to herself, while trying to press her behind even more heavily against Karbon's front. Finally he got enough of it though, and shoved the blonde idol aside, just in time for the referee to officially start the match...

Trice took a few more steps after the shove than necessary, just to make it look worse for Karbon how he was treating her. Then turning around to face him, Trice could hear this threats while chuckling inside to his words... "The worst mistake of my life? Boy, you surely know nothing about my life..."

Taking just a couple of steps towards Karbon after the bell rang, Trice could quickly see the guy coming for an immediate, obviously angered attack. And luckily for her, what he was trying was rather obvious. Sure, he was fast and she couldn't necessarily dodge, but there was something else she could do...

Just as Karbon's arm was about to hit her, the French Actress fell violently backwards, hitting her back against the mat. She began reeling on the mat, as if the guy's Clothesline had just brutally downed the Innocent Idol, and that was how it probably looked like to everyone else too... With the exception of Karbon. He had probably noticed that the Clothesline had never actually fully connected, but it was anyone's guess what he would make out of it, or if he'd just think that Trice was actually light like a feather.

"Oh Karbon, why are you so mad..." Trice began sobbing as she was reeling on the mat, this time purposing those words only to Karbon's ears. "I can't get up..." she continued, trying to appear as helpless as possible... But in fact, hoping to lure Karbon into a trap.
