Geun Haru vs Senji Takijima

Seeing Senji turn to the side, Geun would pretend to struggle to get the hold. That was not what she wanted to do. Instead, when she was confident that she could make a swift transition, she went to take his back. From there she licked in a proper seatbelt in preparation for her next move.

Senji, when Geun went to hug his back, quickly acted to tuck his chin and protect the arteries despite her gaining an advantage in terms of control via the seatbelt. However, Senji went to put his right palm on the over forearm to keep it there so she couldn't use it to advance to the next step of choking him out. That meant exerting pressure so that her arm would be kept to his chest. Senji also didn't feel a right hook on his leg from her, since it'd be particularly hard with the right side of his hips to the ribs being pressed against the floor. She'd probably be able to get the left one in though. Senji raised his left arm and sent it down to try to grasp her sole hook. If he could grasp the lower part of her leg, helping by trying to curl inward and bend over, then he'd pull on it in an attempt to take the hook out the inside of his thigh and toss it off!

Having her leg thrown back was just fine by Geun. With it there she could exert enough force to make them turn, landing on top of Senji. From there she would yank her hands out from under him and after that push on his back to both keep him grounded and push herself up. Then she would spin around to grab one of his legs and planting it under her armpit pull back for a single-legged Boston crab.

Haru was making him work for this. Senji gave an indistinct grunt at the push. Quickly now, Senji planted his right palm on the mat and exerted force to turn around quickly to face her from the front since he heavily disliked being on his stomach with an opponent behind him. However, since she'd launched down at him fast enough, Senji wouldn't be quick enough to pull off a potential Triangle Trap like he wanted to do when considering their speed. If Geun didn't stop herself from ending up in a scramble on top of his torso, she'd find Takijima going to try to keep her back by pushing on her shoulders with his hands. The plan at the moment was to survive and lock her, preferably in a chokehold. Senji was confident in his own endurance yet had little info on how Haru faired in a battle of endurance and attrition. Statistically speaking, she was a higher tier than the usual enemy.

The push did not slow him enough for Geun to grab his leg. The push however was slightly helpful, she did not intend to stay like she was, it would be too easy to take her back like this. Instead, still intent on going for his leg she would move forward with the push, wrapping her legs around the base of his while her hands grabbed his ankle to go for a kneebar.

Senji felt her shoot for something again. She was turning around quickly. Or rather, was fully intent on completing the rotation. He was aware of many submissions, just that there were uncommon or very high-level ones that worked beyond his skill level. However, even Huan managed to legitimately choke him out in a usual RNC. She was particularly great at Triangles. He wasn't sure about the exact gap between Huan and Haru since he didn't know they trained as friends unlike how Huan had spoken about Senji as a student. If he were to make an inference, he'd say she was in a similar level physically compared to Huan. The arsenal of submissions was more varied despite this judgment.

Seeing that she was extending a leg out towards his side, he attempted to divert this effort by bending his captured knee in half so that she'd be unable to get it easily. That done in the way he intended, Senji desired to slink over to Haru's back and promptly grab her by the shoulders before going to pull the woman's back into his chest. After this, Senji aimed to wrap his left arm around her neck to begin the setup for a blood choke. Instead of using the finger-bicep tactic, Senji tried to clasp his hands together in a, faster to perform, gable grip to secure a vice-like hold on the chokehold itself. He settled into a nice, tight squeeze if he finally managed to get this done! He couldn't maintain any hooks though, which meant he was aiming to tap her out fast.

Geun made a quick calculation, there were some weak points here, hooks for one but that wasn't a water prof escape. She could struggle and maybe she would get out but she would expand a lot of energy. If she didn't get out she would still be tired the next round and possibly be post ko, never good. Thus it took no time at all for her to decide to tap, she could afford to give that fall, she wasn't sure she would get it anyway, and that way they would enter the last on more equal footing. Still, prolonged round like this had an advantage for her as well as she could see more clearly how her oponent approached grappling.

Once she was released she shook her limbs and stretched a bit, her joints popping slightly. "Ok, final stretch. Ready?"

A sturdy, covered forearm continued to bring her closer to the depths of unconsciousness. That remained the eventual conclusion, until he felt a selection of taps grace his body. At that, he unwrapped his arm from around her throat and went to pull his formerly captured leg out so she could slip free. Senji took a second to lay his back on the ground while Haru busied herself with preparing for the next round. Senji gave a sigh as he raised his body up following him only being able to catch his breath. Final stretch indeed.

Senji perked up at her addressing of him, snapping to attention.

"Mhm! Yeah, I'm fit enough."

To reiterate, now Senji had a natural outline of her fighting style. Again, he didn't know how individually good she was. She seemed to favor chokes and limb holds mainly. Lei did anything he requested, and had a mean D'arce choke despite her saying she chose not to use it because she deemed it as taking too long. Still, so long as he was cautious and didn't gas himself out so he could unintentionally be abused by her powerful coils, Senji resolved that he could defeat her and win this match. Senji got off his rear and took the position opposite to wherever she was. There, Senji preferred to see what she'd do as a first move.

Geun nodded to him and approached slowly, seemingly going for a tie-up more characteristic of Greco-Roman wrestling. Then as soon as she got close she rushed in close, putting her hands under his armpits so that the crooks of her elbows were resting there, after that she would lift slightly off the mat while launching herself forward to take Senji down while landing on top of him. Then her first hold would follow, admittedly a strange one as she while keeping the elbows under his armpits would lift them up, her hands interlocking in front of his throat while her forearms put pressure on the sides of his neck if one was to compare it to something it looked like a full Nelson but applied the other way around. At the same time, she would attempt to get in a full mount or at least not let senji lock in his guard fully around her.

Senji found himself bracing against being one the receiving end of a takedown. It reminded him for the foundational elements in the art of legitimate wrestling as opposed to BJJ. Senji visibly gagged at the applied tension once it his arms were raised up.

"Hrrk-?", a stifled cry of surprise came from his vocals. He found his gaze compelled to look up at Haru, who was probably staring down at him from her full mount position. Senji let out a very light cough since it felt...rougher than the more technical submissions. Still, he determined it was too early to consider forfeiting to Geun. Senji's right leg worked to wriggle over to her right foot, the limb trying to lock with the front of the ankle. It was there that he'd will the leg to push up and raise her leg for more space. At the same time, Senji tried to turn on his left side and pull that leg up so he could put the foot on that side's hip in regards to Haru's positioning. Furthermore, he also aimed to pull his right leg up and end up wrapping them around her waist to establish a guard. It was a Full Mount (Bottom) -> Closed Guard (Bottom) transition at best.

Haru would then perceive Senji trying to bend his arms inwards, if the previous move worked out, so that he could frame either the right or left against the front of her throat and push her down as a first attempt at setting up something to snag her albeit the process was careful as opposed to EXTREMELY fast, both approaches having pros and cons. The seconds ticked by during this attempt, Takijima's face flustering before taking on a very light shade of red.
