Re: The Hoplite vs. the Samurai: Alexios vs. Kyo
Alexios followed Kyo to the outside of the ring, not wanting to give him a moment to recover. He pressed up against Kyo's back, wrapped his arms around Kyo's stomach, and began lifting him up. The crowd roared in amazement as Alexios would try to fling Kyo overhead with a release German suplex!

Re: The Hoplite vs. the Samurai: Alexios vs. Kyo
Kyo groaned as he tried to pick himself up. The Greek was relentless, however: Kyo heard Alexios stomping up behind him, and felt the other man's broad arm wrapping around his waist, lifting him up...
He chose that moment to counter attack, shooting an elbow back into Alexios' cheek to make him release him. If that worked, then Kyo would follow up by reaching back and grabbing for the back of Alexios' head, before letting gravity do the work for him and dropping down, aiming to slam Alexios face-first into his shoulder with a stunner!

Re: The Hoplite vs. the Samurai: Alexios vs. Kyo
Alexios had a very efficient slam-based offense. Slam or suplex them again and again until defeat. Unfortunately, it was predictable and Kyo took advantage of that. Momentarily stunned by Kyo’s elbow, the Greek was then brought low by gravity. His face slammed into Kyo’s shoulder. Alexios ragdolled back and was knocked silly, laying starfished on the floor.

Re: The Hoplite vs. the Samurai: Alexios vs. Kyo
Kyo had brought himself a reprieve by countering Alexios with a brutal stunner. Standing up, he saw Alexios now sprawled on the floor, momentarily vulnerable to a follow up attack. Kyo was not one for outside brawling, but even so, he knew that he really should wear Alexios down further before they went back into the ring.
Grabbing the other man by the arm to pull him to his feet, Kyo pulled him over to the edge of the ring and shifted his weight, ramming his face against the edge of the ring, before moving to roll him back under the ropes.

Re: The Hoplite vs. the Samurai: Alexios vs. Kyo
Kyo took advantage of Alexios being stunned and dragged him to his feet. It wasn't much help for him, though, as Kyo rammed his face into the ring apron. Alexios would have ragdolled back, but Kyo instead shoved him into the ring. Alexios rolled into the ring and towards the corning, pulling himself up for a brief rest.

Re: The Hoplite vs. the Samurai: Alexios vs. Kyo
Rolling in after the stunned Alexious, Kyo hopped up to the mat, eager to take control of this match. So far, he had been directing a lot of attacks Alexios' way, keeping him too stunned to fight back. That was all well and good, but he couldn't simply keep the big Greek "stunlocked" (to borrow a video game term he had learned from Makie) forever.
Grabbing a hold of Alexios' head, Kyo would pull the big Greek up to his feet, before twisting around so that the were back to back. Taking a deep breath, Kyo would drop down onto his butt, aiming to slam the back of Alexios' head into his shoulder with a back cracker that would hopefully leave his opponent floored!

Re: The Hoplite vs. the Samurai: Alexios vs. Kyo
Kyo got back to back with Alexios and lifted him up. He then brought him back down. Gravity did its job, driving Alexios's back and head into Kyo's shoulder blades. Alexios cried out in pain and was laid out prone on his stomach.

Re: The Hoplite vs. the Samurai: Alexios vs. Kyo
The crowd roared and winced as Kyo managed to execute a nasty back cracker on his larger opponent. Kyo, however, was not one to rest on his laurels: he immediately dropped down, covering Alexios and hooking his leg for the pin. In an instant, the ref began the countdown.
'ONE..."

Re: The Hoplite vs. the Samurai: Alexios vs. Kyo
Alexios was dazed and helpless to stop himself from being rolled over and covered. The impact of the ref counting helped him come to. He shook his head and realized Kyo was on top of him pinning him.
TWO!
Alexios was out of time. He forced his shoulder up to break the count.
TH-NOOOOOOOOO!!
Alexios kicked out and shoved Kyo off of him in just the nick of time.
Alexios rolled away with a burst of adrenaline from having nearly lost the match, propping himself up against the ropes.

Re: The Hoplite vs. the Samurai: Alexios vs. Kyo
Kyo had half-expected Alexios to kick out, and the Greek did just that...although Kyo had come close. Very close, in fact. As Alexios crawled over towards the ropes, Kyo moved after him. He wasn't about to offer the Hoplite any quarter, and he expected Alexios would have given him none in return.
Grabbing a hold of Alexios' arm, Kyo tensed and whipped him across the ring...and if he managed that, Kyo would rush after him as he bounced back, spinning around to slash a brutal forearm chop lariat into the man's chest to bring him down!
