Standard Showdown: Cal Walker vs. Nayla Ameera

Cal let out a light curse as his foe worked the arm and bent it behind his back as pressure was applied and he found himself in a less than favorable hammerlock. Cal attempted to reach behind him with his free arm but Nayla was angled in a way that kept his hand just out of reach, however he was nothing else if adaptable. Naturally he moved his free hand down to grasp at the ankle of Nayla, aiming to pull her forward in the hopes to force her on her back and break the hold or even shake her footing at the worst to allow him to free his arm.

Having Cal in the hammerlock, Nayla would try to put as much pressure as possible into the hold, but Cal had proven himself to be quite resourceful as he moved his free hand down to grab Nayla by her ankle. When Nayla finally realized it, it was already too late when her opponent yanked at her leg, causing her to lose her footing and her grip on Cal's arm.

"Aahhh!!"

Nayla squealed when she fell backwards before she hit the mat. Knowing that she might be in danger, Nayla would try to roll herself over to her side, hoping to recover quickly as she would then attempt to get herself on all four, looking to get herself back up.

However Cal seemed to not only be a powerhouse, but also seemed to have ring awareness as he flipped Nayla over as he aimed to capitalize upon it immediately. With the leg he pulled still in hand, he aimed to try and move with Nayla as she flipped over, trying to pull her leg all the while as he would aim to try and lock in a single leg Boston Crab.

"Bwark!"

His companion outside the ring seemed to bark in support as Cal worked to try and lock in the submission with the goal it seemed to try and ground and begin to wear down his foe.

Rolling herself over, getting herself on all four, Nayla was planning to recover and get up, but Cal decided to take advantage of her downed state by getting himself on her back before grabbing one of her legs, putting her into a single-legged Boston crab.

"AAHHH!!!"

Nayla cried out in pain. Wanting to break free, Nayla would try to crawl towards the nearest ropes, hoping to give herself a rope break, where her opponent would have to release her from the hold.

Cal managed to work her leg into the submission, pulling on it to try and wear the woman down, but it seemed Nayla was a natural fighter and already had began to try to move them to the ropes showing some impressive strength but Cal was not gonna give it to her so easily.

Just as Nayla was about to reach the bottom rope, Cal moved to pull them back using his impressive strength in an effort to try and place them back in the center of the ring and if sucessful would try to bend down aiming to sit on her lower back to try and plant his body weight on her. Making the task of crawling to the ropes a greater challenge for Nayla.

As she was trapped in the single-legged Boston crab by Cal, Nayla crawled towards the ropes, hoping to give herself a rope break. But as she got closer, she was suddenly pulled away by Cal, who brought her back to the center of the ring before he planted his own body weight on top of her, making it even more difficult for Nayla to crawl towards the ropes.

"NNGHHHHH!!!"

Growling out in frustration, she pounded her fists on the mat. It wasn't a show of submission as it was more like a display of frustration from the Lebanese beauty. Still, despite the setback, she would try to crawl again, albeit much slower than before due to the added weight on her back. She wanted to drag Cal with her as she would try to make her way to the ropes.

Cal worked to try and hold strong, pulling on her leg to continuously apply pressure but sat firmly to try and keep her opponent grounded on the canvas. And this seemed to work initially, if the slams of frustration were anything to go by, but slowly Nayla used some impressive strength and began to slowly drag them in the direction of the ropes.

Cal clenched his teeth, trying to add more pressure to the hold, more pressure to the leg and her lower back to get her crawl to stop or simply wear her down best he could as they inched closer towards the ropes.

"Do you give!?" The referee asked Nayla, checking signs of submission but also glancing to the ropes to check for the rope break if Nayla could force it.

Even though she was trapped in the hold, Nayla would keep moving towards the ropes, albeit slowly even as Cal had positioned himself on her back to make it more difficult for her to move. Nayla shook her head vigorously as the referee asked whether she submitted or not. She gritted her teeth, stubbornly denying her opponent from seeing her submit as she would move closer and closer to the ropes. She would hold her right hand out, hoping to reach the bottom rope.

Flailing her hand, Nayla would try to move forward, inch by inch before she attempted to grab onto the bottom rope, finally securing the rope break. If she was successful, she would hold onto the rope tightly, shaking it to signal to the referee that she managed to get a rope break, which would force Cal to release her from the hold, finally giving an end to this predicament.

Cal in turn tried to keep the woman grounded best he could, sitting with his full body weight and really pulling on her legs to add as much tension to her legs and back as he possibly could. However, Nayla seemed to be a resilient one and as she refused her submission her gradually "worming" to the ropes paid off as she got a hand on the bottom rope successfully.

"Alright hand on the rope break!"

Cal understood the rules and before the referee could begin her five count he would stand and release her legs, moving back to give the woman her due distance as he faced with his usual stoic expression. Cal inwardly seemed to respect her fighting spirit, and would allow her the chance to get back to her feet while he kept ready for anything.

With the rope break, Nayla was finally freed, and she would get herself back up on her feet with the help of the ropes. Still, the hold earlier seemed to have weakened her greatly, and she would keep her hands on the top ropes as she winced, trying her best to soldier through the pain as she would try to recover.

At the same time, she would direct her gaze at Cal, forcing a grin so that she could keep herself from looking weak. "Ngh... n-nice try, but y-you're gonna do more than that to take me out, stud..." She winked at Cal as she would then release the ropes, stepping forward in preparation for her next clash with him. She would then get into position, getting ready for what to come as she would try to come up with something.
