In a sense Ryan felt like that young lad who'd be dreaming of how he'd be standing there in the ring with his dream fights, a bit smaller and less muscular, lot less. Still just as eager though. And Elvira's words were like honey in his ears, Elvira wasn't wrong about royalty. The Knights were well known in the British scene and in the wrold too, though not as much in recent times. It was mostly him and Florence nowadays. And to hear that Elvira was being charmed by his words? Okay it was just a dream come true.

She gave him a good hug to boot, Elvira's chest against his and his whole body flashed red. Then her last words were said and suddenly Ryan was jarred back to self awareness and out and over he went! "AHhhhhhhh!" Ryan yelled, okay he'd only ever been lifted a rare few times in his career. Elvira was now one of them. He thankfully managed to tense up his body at the very least to reduce the impact and he rolled onto his stomach on his knees in a crouched posture and said "O-Okay, that jarred me awake......S-Sorry if I was too out there......N-Now I'll make sure to fight!"

And with that the Paragon bolted right at Elvira with a tackle, in fact Ryan moved quite fast here. Faster than a man his size had a right to be, call it keen to chase after one of his dreams in more ways than one.

A nice recovery. Though Elvira hadn't intended for this to do any heavy damage. It was more...a dynamic opening to the feeling out process. A cup of coffee with some extra oomph to it.

She was actually a little sad to serve it. "Oh, you're fine." Two responses in one, coupled with a hand waving his concerns away. "It's actually kind of adorable." A lot adorable, really.

The Songbird stood her ground when the Knight charged. Squared stance. Feet spread out. Waiting with a challenging grin that widened after he slammed into her. A sudden, explosive burst of speed. Another something they had in common, that she'd half-expected after her earlier scan of his physique.

She met it correctly: Hooked an arm below chin level, had a hand at the inside of his elbow. With steady control, she could take a lot of his options away. But her bare feet didn't afford her a lot of traction on a humidified mat.

At the rate he was pushing her back, she had about five seconds before her back was against the turnbuckle pads.

The first order of business was a sprawl. Legs straight, spread, and far out of his reach. It still wasn't putting the breaks on, but unless he decided to lift her, it wasn't going to be a hard-hitting impact, at least.

Ryan was finding that the dreamy state he was in had rapidly evaporated at that moment, tasting the canvas would surely do that to you after all. The Paragon now considered himself truly locked in at this point and he had bolted at Elvira and most men and women would have no doubt been bowled over by the sheer mass of the British aristocrat. Elvira seemed the exception though and Ryan was feeling his body get shuffled and adjusted, namely with his legs and Ryan was rapidly mapping this out.

He had dabbled in MMA in his spare time, mostly to see how he'd do when exposed to different styles. Ryan could tell, if his legs got spread then Elvira could puppet him from there. Ryan would instead lock down, get his legs together and bolt upwards and seek to slam Evlira against the turnbuckles. Even with this it would still be like a brick wall moving to crush you against a rock with sheer mass and it looked as though the Paragon would be getting the songbird into a little cage!

And the Bird landed hard, back slamming hard into padding that provided a lot less cushioning than most fans realized. Elvira had prepared herself for the impact the way that her teacher and mutual student, Monique Ambrosia, had taught her. But there was only so much that she could do to mitigate the damage, especially against strength that she knew already was a match for her own.

And that this was going to leave some bruising later.

She kept the one arm around his head, but Ryan would no doubt feel the slack he'd earned for himself. And because she needed a moment or two to capture the wind that had knocked out of her, that just wouldn't do.
