Erika 'LeDestroyer' LaVoy vs. Aizen Yuzuriha - One More Chance

It was lost on Aizen, too. Right now, intimacy was the absolute last thing on his mind.

It might’ve been hard to tell from the audience’s seat, but Aizen’s body was on the verge of failing outright, overtaxed by the culmination of all the damage he’d incurred over this match. By all rights, he should’ve been finished minutes ago, but he was pulling out the last of his reserves to make this working, tipping on the edge of consciousness even as he throttled Erika.

He needed this to work. It had to work.

At first, he wasn’t sure it was having any effect, as it still felt like she could squeeze in half at any moment, but then came the release. The slow but steady decrease in power. The muscles were slackening the hold was loosening up.

He didn’t let up, not until the final count, not until the bell rang. Then and only thing did he let go of Erika’s neck and flop back to the canvas, as he sucked in long, heavy breaths.

And laughed.

In mid-laugh, a shadow would suddenly fall over Aizen.

Erika was sitting upright. The Canadian woman was practically drenched in sweat, her muscles gleaming, and she was breathing hoarsely and steadily. And yet, all the same,she was sitting upright, despite just having been decisively KO'd by her opponent. The crowd and the ref were all speechless, even as the announcers declared Aizen's hard fought victory.

Still breathing hard, Erika sluggishly turned to look down at her battered foe. Past her wheezing breaths, she managed to crack a smile even as her opponent laughed. "Hehh...hahhh....th...that was pretty good," she said. "I...really thought I had you there. You...you really are a lot tougher than I thought!"

Aizen’s laughing faded away as he caught sight of Erika, unsure of what to do and suddenly very aware of just how vulnerable he was. Like this, there was always the chance that she could’ve gone wild and clobbered him. Not every wrestler took losses well, and like this, there would be little he could do to stop her.

Thankfully, Erika wasn’t that sort of wrestler. He allowed himself to relax as she laughed along with him, as they shared in the glory of a good match. She had taken the best out of him, and it could’ve gone either way at any point. They both knew it.

”Yes, well, you are tougher than you look. I’m not sure how that’s possible, but it’s the truth. I…” Aizen tried to sit up, but didn’t budge. ”I…” He made another try, managed to get up a few inches, then plopped back down.

He tensed up, then sighed and closed his eyes. ”I would get up to shake your hand, but I don’t think I can move just now. The adrenaline seems to be wearing off.”

Erika burst out laughing at that point. Even she could tell that Aizen had gone all-out against her in that match. He would have had to, after all: Erika was doing the same. It made all too much sense that, after the battering she had inflicted on him, he could barely move.

"No worries, buddy," she said, standing upright, and leaning down to take a hold of Aizen's hand. "Let's get you up here."

And with that, Erika would hoist Aizen up to his feet; once he was standing, she would hold his arm up in victory, gesturing towards him so that the fans could give him a good, long round of applause. He deserved it, after all.

”No, wait, don’t, I-”

Yeah, Aizen could’ve really done without nearly having his arm pulled out of its socket, but it was a little too late for that. Erika might’ve lost, but she still had her crazy strength, that was for certain.

Up he went, and after a quick stumble, he righted himself and accepted the crowd’s approval, giving them a solemn bow after she let his hand come down.

”That was a…good match, Erika-san. I would challenge you again someday.” He rubbed his shoulder and winced. ”But not any day soon, I think.”

Aizen managed a thin, wry smile, then returned to his usual stony self, as he exited the ring and promptly hobbled his way back up the ramp. There was hot springs in his future, he hoped…
