Seeing a girl yelling "Stop! You're killing him!" at him, Alex immediately gave her the middle finger and licked his lips defiantly. He felt Troy's rage wash over him again, but he began to strangle him even more tightly.
When a girl ran up to Alex, he abruptly pushed her away to keep her out of the way—he didn't want to kill Troy, but wanted to teach him a lesson about how to treat "cute" Alex. But the referee interrupted him, and security pushed Alex and the girl out of the ring.
Alex tried to resist, but was dragged out of the ring anyway. Takumi ran up to Alex with a bucket of ice and a robe. After wiping all the wounds, Takumi asked,
"Oh, God, what should we do with you now? You're absolutely smashed to pieces..."
Alex merely snorted in displeasure, watching Troy and his crush (apparently the same Nix he'd been talking about) kissing. Snorting under his breath, he said, "They'll announce the results now, Takumi, and then take me to the hospital. I need to get patched up."

Re: Troy Mikkelsen vs Alex Iwasaki-Jacobson: Destruction Derby
Nix’s hands trembled as she helped Troy down from the ring, her grip firm but gentle, as though she feared he might shatter if she held him too tightly. His body leaned heavily against her, his breaths shallow and labored, but he managed to stay upright, driven by sheer stubbornness. The crowd’s roar faded into a distant hum behind them as they made their way backstage, the dimly lit corridors a stark contrast to the blinding lights of the arena.
“Talk about overdoing it,” Nix muttered, her voice soft but laced with exasperation. She glanced up at him, her eyes scanning his bruised and bloodied face, her heart aching at the sight. “You’re supposed to fight, not try to get yourself killed.”
Troy’s body sagged against Nix, his breaths ragged and uneven. His face was a mess of blood and bruises, his muscles trembling with exhaustion. “Guess I... didn’t have enough left,” he muttered, his voice hoarse and defeated.
Nix’s jaw clenched as she steadied him, her fingers pressing into his side where fresh bruises were already forming. “You fought,” she said fiercely, her voice low but unwavering. “That’s what matters.”
He let out a pained exhale, his head dipping forward. “Still lost.”
She shook her head, her grip on him tightening. “No. You made him earn it.”
Troy didn’t answer. The weight of the loss pressed down on him harder than Alex’s kesa gatame ever had. But Nix’s arm around his waist was solid, unyielding—a reminder that some battles weren’t fought alone.
“Come on,” she said softly. “Let’s get you patched up.”
As they continued toward the hallway, Troy leaned into her, his trust in her unwavering. And Nix held him close, her heart swelling with relief and love, knowing she’d almost lost him—and knowing she’d do anything to keep him safe.
