Ionia knew full well that she wasn't going to be inflicting any large amount of damage with this flurry. The intention was to provoke a reaction. Make him say "back off" in a way that she could capitalize on.

Miguel Rodrigues was a man who firmly believed in pro-wrestling and who defended the principles of the sport. In between those were included the basic fundamentals of the ring. He wasn’t one for crazy experiments. The old reliable had proven useful and that’s what made it the old reliable, and Miguel loved using his wrestling fundamentals to further his career. One of the most basics of these fundamentals are: if on the receiving end, take it and bid time until you find a spot for your comeback.

Well Guerreiro Aranha had just found that. After taking a quite decent succession of hits from Ionia the man used his physical prowess and some window of opportunity he executed a Rope-Assisted Frankensteiner on Ionia, successfully launching the woman and getting her on the mat as he recovered. Now the fundamentals said that the offensive was shifting towards Miguel and that if he wanted to keep it that way he had to work slow towards a more solid offensive plan. His first action towards that would be to stop Ionia from rising by getting besides her and stomping her when she was on all fours. This would send her flat on her stomach which would allow him to go a little harder with a Standing Elbow Drop!

Ionia was crushed into the mat. Not knocked into it. Driven into a hard chest-first landing onto the mat that violently emptied her lungs. And by the time she refilled them and started pushing herself back up, he had an elbow raining down to unleash a taste of hell between her shoulder blades, putting her back at square one. Or more like square zero, with that stabbing pain.
