From the sidelines, Lucy clicked her teeth as Theo made his…comeback? That didn't feel like the right word. Kalina had been dominating him with ease from the start, ragdolling him around. It was nice that he’d managed to survive and land a kick of his own, but that alone wasn’t going to change the tide. He needed more. So much more.

He seemed to know it, too, judging by the way he looked after Kalina rocked back from the hit. Lucy had seen him on bad footing before, but he was usually good about keeping his cool. Here, he looked panicked, more than a little afraid, and she couldn't say she blamed him. Kalina was a sight to see, and he couldn't take many more hits like the one she gave out.

Good for him, he was able to get his shit together as she came rushing in, moving at him like a human stampede. She ducked down, looking like she would try to ram him off the apron, but he was able to move out of the way just in time, giving him a golden moment to couterattack.

He took it, too - leaping up, he raised his arm and attempted to drive his elbow into the back of her head, hoping to return some favors with a surprise hit.
