Re: Ryan Knight vs Keira Robinson - Colourful Spirits
Ryan re-asserted himself in the ring with authority and a resounding impact on the mat said so, by way of a stunner and a swift feeling of paralysis in Keira's jaw. The Paragon had released his opponent and sat there un-moving as he heard his opponent crash onto the mat, he barely even cast a glance at her over the shoulder as he knew his attack had been effective. Now that Keira had been stunned Ryan would attempt to capitalise on this opportunity.
The Paragon would try to move towards Keira's legs there and grab them with his arms and attempt to lock them under his armpits as he tried to drag her into the middle of the ring. The crowd began booing as they suspected Ryan was going for a certain move of his as he flexed his biceps and the Paragon would attempt to go a swinging with his opponent, swinging as in a giant swing and spinning her around in his Giant Swing!

Re: Ryan Knight vs Keira Robinson - Colourful Spirits
That last attack had truly left Keira seeing stars. In the back of her mind, she was grateful that she hadn't ended up sinking her teeth into her tongue. That, however, was where the good news ended. The blow had given her a painful stiffness in her jaw, as well as a massive headache! Her eyes were squeezed closed, as the world trembled when she tried to open them. But while it kept vertigo at bay, it left her blind to her opponent's actions. Ryan wouldn't even need to rush to capitalize on her daze.
And capitalize on it he did! Keira felt her legs snatched, but offered no resistance. She'd already been caught, and even in her dizzy state, she knew she couldn't focus on both problems at once. She groaned in annoyance as her back scraped along the mat, until she started moving sideways. Keira realized he was trying to flip her over, and-
-and wait no why was she lifting off the ground? Her eyes snapped open as Ryan gained speed, whipping Keira around in a large circle, her body being lifted into the air by force alone. She tried to scream, but was cut off by the lingering pain in her jaw. But even that was going to be nothing next to the jolt she was going to receive upon landing! All she could hope right now was that Ryan wouldn't fling her directly into a post... or worse, between the ropes outside the ring!

Re: Ryan Knight vs Keira Robinson - Colourful Spirits
Keira was going a swinging, courtesy of the Paragon known as Ryan Knight! It was a trademark of the Brit and long, long ago when the fans of a wrestling match could tolerate his presence they would actually count the number of swings that he managed to do. Here he'd get no such luxury, not that he cared at any extent. Now he simply fought for the sake of the bout rather than try to pander to those who so easily changed their tune even when he sought to show contrition, but what didn't change was Ryan's in ring prowess.
As evidenced by how even here, at the length of the bout Ryan so casually discarded Keira. Sending her crashing near the ropes, Ryan felt his own dizzy spell come on and he was forced to one knee. However Ryan knew he must strike while the iron was hot, he must attempt to end this now. The Paragon would try to move to Keira's form and grab her legs and try to drag her to the middle of the ring, whereupon he'd attempt to cinch in his trademark move. The Knightmare, a calf slicer leg submission that could bring anyone to despair should it be fully locked in......

Re: Ryan Knight vs Keira Robinson - Colourful Spirits
Perhaps most people wouldn't care to count Ryan's swings anymore, but there was still at least one person who was dying to know: his opponent! The longer she spun through the air, the dizzier Keira became, and he showed no signs of slowing down! Of course, she was lighter than he was, so it probably wasn't very difficult. But in the back of her mind, she was screaming, "just how many times can he possibly spin me?!"
Just as she was feeling grateful she'd had a light lunch, Ryan chose that moment to let her go. The goth chick sailed through the air like a rocket, narrowly missing the corner post by a hair. That's where the good news ended, however; she landed hard, bouncing and tumbling, and just managed to reach up to hook an arm over the lowest rope to keep momentum from launching her out of the ring and into the barricades set up to rope off the audience!
As she dragged her legs back onto the mat fully, she saw three Ryans near the center of the ring, each down on one knee; apparently he wasn't immune to his own dizzying twirls. Not that that meant anything to Keira at this point, who flopped herself onto her stomach and closed her eyes, trying to stop the world from spinning, knowing full well there was only one opponent in front of her.
But while she was busy counting illusions, she suddenly felt herself sliding along the ground and realized, in her daze, that she must have rested her eyes far longer than she'd meant to. Too late now, though; all she could do was squirm and try to pull her legs free, but she knew who she was up against. More likely she was just going to have to endure it until he either let her go or weakened his grip enough for her to surprise him...
"Holy Christ on a fuckin' cracker!"
Keira's sudden exclamation of agony accompanied Ryan locking in his finisher, and thoughts of endurance were squeezed from her head. Pride was the only thing that sustained her for several seconds, preventing an immediate tap-out, but she was quickly overwhelmed, slamming her palms on the mat.
"Okay okay, I give! Holy shit, let me go already!"

Re: Ryan Knight vs Keira Robinson - Colourful Spirits
Ryan was confident that he had this match in the bag now. The Knightmare was a trump card of his that could ensure anyone was walking away with a limp regardless of the bout's outcome, as evident that his track record had proven. Now the Paragon had trapped Keira in no man's land and applied his most lethal submission hold, now it was just a matter of keeping it locked as hard as possible. Ryan felt beads of sweat drip down his forehead from the effort applied but eventually he heard Keira's admission of surrender, sure enough Ryan relented on the hold and stood up as the bell rung. Now that his opponent had yielded Ryan wouldn't press on any longer, as per the rules........
However, while Keira might have lost. The LAW fans were still very much going to fight now in her place!
Several people in the crowd were holding signs such as "If Knight wins, we riot!" and they among several other members of the audience were now going to make this apparent as the massive amounts of boos and hisses would sound out loudly across the arena. And then came the attacks, the crowd were chucking beer cans, food, glass bottles etc. The audience were even starting to try and move at the guard railings, thankfully the LAW staff had extra bodies to guard the front rows but Ryan knew he'd have to make haste lest they begin to tear apart the arena. The Paragon wasn't surprised by this, in fact it been an occurrence that should he win they would riot.
Ryan swiftly grabbed his cloak and knelt close to Keira and said "Well fought. However I'm afraid we must vacate the premises before the crowd causes too much havoc. I'm ready to move when you are." as he draped his cloak over both of them to shield them from the projectiles.

Re: Ryan Knight vs Keira Robinson - Colourful Spirits
The technique from Ryan was a bit of a surprise, not one Keira had seen coming from the mountain of a man. But then, it wasn't the first time in this match she'd been caught off guard. It was, however, the one that pushed her passed her breaking point.
Ryan maintained the hold until the bell sounded, and not a moment longer, for which Keira was quite grateful for. She immediately reached for her leg, and inwardly dreaded the inevitable ice bath she'd be soaking it in later this evening. Ryan certainly knew how to lock on a submission.
Boos rained down from the seats, drawing Keira's attention. They were loud, they were angry, and some of the even looked like they wanted to break down the barricade and jump in the ring themselves! Wow, they really did not like this man.
A thought that, all through the night, baffled the punk chick. During their match, she felt like she'd gotten... a decent enough picture of him, and he did not seem like a bad person. A far cry from this kind of reaction, for sure! Ryan was a tough fighter, that much was certain. But Keira wouldn't go so far as to say he was merciless. Hell, he didn't even hold her after the bell! So why the hell did they look like an angry mob out to hunt down and burn a witch? All the scene needed was torches and pitchforks.
And then Ryan was there at her side, throwing his cloak over her just in time to soften the blow of a wayward beer bottle that had probably not been intended for her. And that was the last straw.
"Well fought, indeed," she said, giving Ryan a smile - not a grudging 'I admit defeat' one, but a genuine one. "But I'm gonna need you to hold on just one moment." With any luck, Ryan will assume Keira's still worried about her leg after that final submission. Meanwhile, she gestured to the commentators table outside the ring for a mic. She wasn't normally one to offer post-match commentary, but this felt like one of those times.
When they brought it, she forced herself to her feet, one hand in the air, and shouted;
"What the fuck are y'all doing?"
She paused, lowering the mic and made a vague shrugging gesture as she waited for the ruckus to settle down... which it did, surprisingly quickly, giving the security staff some much needed time to shepherd people back behind their barricades. She brought the microphone back to her mouth.
"If y'all wanna get in the ring, by all means, bring it on! I'm down for a handicap. Two versus, what.... ten thousand? I like our odds." Another pause as she glanced back towards Ryan, a not-so-subtle hint as to who the 'two' would be. Truthfully, Keira hadn't a clue how many seats the arena had, but it mattered little to get her point across.
"At least, I assume that's why you're all acting like rabid animals and not because you're scrambling for autographs. And I know y'all aren't about to throw a temper tantrum about the action you just saw."
Another pause, this time her free hand on her hip. She began to pace around the ring, taking note of the crowd's reaction. She didn't expect to change the minds of everyone here, or even half. The majority looked angry, but a fair few of them looked confused, or even perhaps a bit ashamed. Good.
Keira continued. "I appreciate y'all who were out there cheering for me, my fans out there who were cheering for my victory. But let me tell you something - all of you." Another pause, shorter this time, as she held a hand out towards Ryan without looking at him. "If you're not here to root for your favorite, and are only here to hate watch, then you can drop me and this entire organization right now! I don't need people like that at my back. We just had an honest, intense, honorable bout! There were no tricks, no traps, no dirty bullshit. I don't care what happened in the past; tonight, I lost, and he won - fair and square. If you can't handle that, you don't deserve to call yourself fans!"
That got the crowd murmuring again. Keira couldn't quite tell what they were saying or thinking, but she'd certainly given them something to think about.
But she also didn't want to go out on that sour note. So she'd turn to Ryan, take his arm, and - if he allowed it - raise it up into the air; normally the referee's job, but they could take the rest of the night off.
Once more, Keira shouted into her microphone. "You just witnessed an intense, heated display of skill and class, and if you're still a fan, I wanna hear you fuckin' show it! Let me hear you fuckin' blow out the windows!"

Re: Ryan Knight vs Keira Robinson - Colourful Spirits
Ryan had actually come to be used to this sort of thing truth be told, sad as it were but each time he won a match the crowd would often adversely react. The only time they 'tolerated' him was when he was in public with his girlfriend Melony, who's sheer popularity had the law universe practically worshipping her. But here without her royal presence to act as a buffer the crowd were making their rage known, even attempting to move to the ring itself it seemed to attack the Paragon. So be it if need be, he'd fight them if it was needed and sue them to the stone age later. But he needed to get Keira out of here for the time being, now that the match was over his focus was to get his former opponent out of harm's way.
That is until Keira actually insisted on.......talking? Ryan watched her scrambling out from under the cloak they had and moved to try and stop her so they could evacuate, then she talked. Ryan looked at Keira dumbfounded. Was she actually going to try to reason with these people? Ryan hadn't ever bothered, the masses could be set in their ways and all he'd focus on was simply doing his craft in the ring. But he stood there in place to aid Keira in case the crowd turned on her.
Still......It felt good actually having someone speak up for him. The Paragon saw quite a bit of Melony in Keira there, no doubt she'd have done the same thing and it was inspiring actually. He looked blank now as he took this all in as Keira tore into the crowd, he'd never expected this to happen. But when she grabbed his hand and raised it he then stood upright to attention. He just straight ahead. The crowd were silent for several, agonising seconds. Before a slow, moderate clap was formed eventually from those in attendance. It was likely the best that would occur but the Paragon would accept that. He was just grateful to not have things thrown at him for a change.
"I.....Thank you. Not many would do that for someone, least of all with those many numbers. I won't ever forget this I assure you." Ryan said, his voice calm and grateful. The Paragon would offer to open the ropes for Keira and help them get out the ring, Ryan had to admit he hadn't expected that outcome, but it was a great one nonetheless.

Re: Ryan Knight vs Keira Robinson - Colourful Spirits
Silence was deafening as Keira finished her reprimand. Not exactly the resounding reversal she'd imagined, but it was closer to what she'd actually expected. Still, she'd hoped to see a least a little enthusiasm from them... people were eager to prove they weren't The Bad Guy, weren't they?
Eventually, some did start clapping, and it did begin to ramp up. Still not comparable to the end of a good concert or anything, but it was better than nothing. Keira could only hope that enough people had been shamed by her outburst that they'd think twice of doing it again.
For his part, Ryan had remained silent while she said her piece, as though he didn't quite believe what he was seeing. Indeed, he'd certainly seemed to expect the crowd's rather violent over-the-top reaction to his victory, and while Keira was touched that he'd thought to try to spare her from it, that was no way to live. Whatever he'd done previously, he didn't deserve that kind of treatment.
And then he spoke. Keira turned to him, almost fully, but enough to still keep an eye on the side of the ring where the crowds were closest, just in case. The security seemed to have them under control now, but better be aware of her surroundings, just in case. "Please, think nothing of it," she insisted. "Even if that disrespect had just cause, a violent protest is not the way to handle it. But from what I could feel during that match, you offered me nothing but honor and respect, and I'll be damned if violence becomes an appropriate response to that." She released his hand, and instead put hers on his shoulder. "I can't promise most will change their opinions overnight, but if anyone gives you further trouble, you just let me know and we'll kick their ass together."
She allowed him to shift the ropes for her with a smile, and graciously stepped through. As they made their way back up the ramp to return backstage, Keira stayed at his side step-by-step, just to be sure no rogue audience viewers had another change of heart; angry though some of them surely still were at him and this result, she doubted anyone would be dumb enough to try to rush them both. Still, she kept her eyes on the crowd with a smile, waving and saluting and high-fiving a couple as she passed by, trying to keep their exit as normal and positive as possible.

Re: Ryan Knight vs Keira Robinson - Colourful Spirits
Truth be told Ryan hadn't expected this outcome, well that wasn't entirely true. He expected him to likely triumph as was his skill, even the aforementioned crowd couldn't deny his prowess. But it was just the aftermath had gone the total opposite of how the Paragon imagined it with the opponent going to bat for him, were the roles reversed would he have done so?
Ryan believed it to be so prior to losing his eye, granted he changed after doing so until he met Melony. Then he became more like his old self again albeit without the backing of the people, once done not forgotten until tonight.
Ryan listened to Keira's words as they headed up the ramp, he only cast his gaze a couple of times to those in attendance and found they weren't looking at him with the usual scorn. Instead there was some neutral and some minor respect in their expressions. Ryan then kept his gaze straight lest he break the spell that Keira cast upon them. He sucked in a deep breath once they got backstage and bowed to Keira.
"Thank you again, should the need arise also for you to request my aid please don't hesitate to say. We'd best part ways now though you'd best get some ice. Farewell, until next we meet." Ryan said and with that the Paragon turned on his heels and marched away from his opponent, having gained a friend and the possible respect of the people once more.
Winner - Ryan Knight
