The Numbers Game: Oscar Orelash vs. the TTFC

Unread post by ScylliasExoter »

Oscar Orelash vs. The Trinidad and Tobago Fight Club (Oria and Jade Phillips)
Rules: Tornado Handicap Match.
Victory Condition: Oscar must gain two falls against the TTFC. The TTFC needs only one fall against Oscar. Falls may be won via pinfall, knockout, or submission. Falls count anywhere. DQ still in effect.

The time had come, Oria and Jade Phillips were warming themselves up in the heel tunnel waiting for their cue. The two were bouncing and shadow kickboxing, preparing to unleash an onslaught against their foe: Oscar Orelash. This was their first formal match. They made a big debut attacking Oscar Orelash in his street fight against Drake Benton. Their intervention cost him the match and their savage post-match assault against Oscar shocked the LAW fandom. While they worked for Oscar's mysterious adversary to ruin him, the pay was just a bonus. They were eager to face a top star and show what they could do. And the prospect of a match against the Barbarian Prince excited them. Their instructions from their client were simple. "Hurt him." Something in particular had pissed them off.
Spoiler
The twins music hit and was immediately met with a chorus of boos. The arena had not forgotten what they did to Oscar. Oria and Jade walked out, preening for the crowd. They were without their masks and in their full wrestling gear. Their lean muscular physiques rippled in the spotlight that was shining on them.

The twins sauntered down to the ring with soccer balls in hand, spinning them on the tips of their fingers. They impressively kept the soccer balls spinning the whole way to the ring. The wins deposited the soccer balls and gracefully twirled/flipped over the ropes back first, landing on their feet. With one final flexing pose for the cameras, the twins turned to face the entrance ramp.

(User's note: Events in this match occur before the Kings and Queens tournament. Thank you!)

Oscar heard the chorus of boos from behind the curtain as the twins made their entrance while he was putting the finishing touches on his gear prep before taking a swig from his lantern oil. It wasn't at all common for Oscar to face an opponent- let alone two of them- who were booed on their entrance. Oscar was fully aware the mass majority of his opponents throughout his career were all beloved faces in the industry- but that fact didn't worry the Barbarian Prince. If anything, it excited him! The audience loved nothing more than seeing a hero beat a villain- especially if it was a comeuppance. If those boos were anything to go by after what Oria and Jade did to him in his street fight rematch against Drake Benton, then it meant that Oscar could expect plenty of supporters in the crowd tonight- and he had ZERO plans to let them down again! It was time to get out there and show whoever wanted him out of the business that it didn't matter how many puppets they tossed at him- he's going NOWHERE! However... there was something definitely bothering him about having to fight more paid-off goons. The twins- Oria and Jade- seemed like promising roster members. Yet they shackle themselves to some punk hiding behind the scenes. As far as Oscar was concerned, that was just wasted potential. Maybe... just maybe... it was going to take more than fighting to make any headway in the matter.
Spoiler
As Oscar's theme hit the arena, fans already erupted into cheers well before the Barbarian Prince emerged from the curtain with his lit torch in hand and spewed his signature fireball- something that almost made Oscar spill some oil as he cracked a tiny smile. Thankfully, everything went as it usually did and Oscar passed the torch and oil canteen to the stagehands before he walked down the ramp and served up some high-fives and fist bumps with the crowd before rolling into the ring. Oscar's eyes were on the twins as he got into his corner, never breaking contact for even a moment as he eyed them like a hawk. Usually, Oscar would offer a handshake and give a show of sportsmanship before the match, but no such thing happened. Oscar only spoke to the twins from his corner instead.

"You know, I'm flattered that two new talent members would be so eager to want to face me for their debut match... but it spoils the feeling when I know someone is paying you off to do it rather than doing it out of your own ambition"

Oscar leaned forward a bit, giving the two a stern stare paired with a calm and collected voice—no aggression, no emotion, just... calm.

"Despite what happened in that alleyway... I'm giving you two one chance not to make a huge mistake getting involved with the wrong crowd. Whoever this mystery bully is? What they want you to do to me? Ignore it. Disregard it and let all of us enjoy ourselves in this match and have some fun. Continuing on this path of yours won't lead to anything good- and I rather not see good talent be wasted playing minion to a coward"

The crowd murmured amongst one another- not expecting Oscar to extend an olive branch to two people who cost him an important rematch and landed him in the hospital. All eyes were on Oria and Jade now... how will they respond to Oscar's offer?

The twins considered Oscar’s words for a moment. On some level, what Oscar had to say spoke to their background as athletes. The crowd listened in anticipation. Jade spoke first.
“You do realize this whole business is people beating each other up for money, right? You’re daft if you think wrestling isn’t full of people who would happily fuck you up for a payday. Some of us need the money and getting a second check for fighting you is a bonus.”
“If it makes you feel better, we’d wrestle you for free. Don’t think about the client now. In this ring, it’s just you and us. You’re a challenge we will beat because we’re the best!” Oria smiled at Oscar as she spoke.

The bell rang and the twins separated

"I'm well aware of how many people wrestle just for the money- but I see wrestling as being much more than that. And I've had the honor of knowing others who also think the same thing as I do. If you don't understand that, then you both have a long way to go in this business"

With the bell ringing, Oscar pushed out of his corner and made his way to the center of thr ring with his guard up. Out of the two, Oscar looked at Oria and smiled at her comment.

"Heh heh, alright. I think I like your additude better. Care to step up first?"

“With pleasure,” Oria purred. She stepped up to Oscar while Jade began circling around him. Seeing as he was not distracted by bearhugging Drake this time around, the twins opted not to go straight to the superkicks since Oscar was ready for them. The twins began (figuratively) dancing around him, Oria being more front and center to him. She then, in a flurry of motion, launched some swift light attacks. Darting in and out, she kicked at Oscar’s legs with low snap and/or 45 kicks. Jade waited and continued to circle Oscar, a constant threat a reminder in his periphery.
“I hear you have a tournament coming up very soon. It’d be a shame if you took a beating now.”
The twins hoped the combination of everything would throw Oscar off balance.

Oscar would show off his reflexes by taking some quick steps back to dodge the kicks being sent his way- opting for defence at the moment as he backpeddled at first, his gaze shifting from Oria to Jade rapidity as he tried to keep track of both twins while dealing with Jade's taunts.

"Yeah- I do have a tournament coming up. I don't intend to let either of you ruin that for me if that's what you're thinking!"

“You’re gonna be so sore for that tournament when I’m through with you,” Oria giggled as she continued her dance with Oscar, sending fast low kicks towards his legs.
“You know our client is going to-”
Oria then suddenly cut herself off and charged Oscar, jumping and trying to nail his upper chest with a running knee strike. But that was merely the feint. At the same time, Jade went low and slid towards Oscar’s legs. She would attempt to take the Barbarian Prince off his feet with a football (soccer)-style slide tackle!

This was exactly what Oscar was worried about. Dealing with Oria's barrage of kicks had been going steady so far- but a handicap match meant Oscar had to deal with both Oria AND Jade at once. When Oria lept up to hit Oscar with the running knee strike, he had no problem blocking the blow with his arms... but left himself completely exposed to Jade in the process as she knocking him clean off his feet with the baseball slide! Oscar gasped in shock as he crashed down onto the canvas- momentarily leaving him in a spot of bother for the twins!

Oria had anticipated Oscar blocking her attack. Her knee was deflected by Oscar’s meaty arms. Oria leapt back from Oscar’s block and landed in a low crouch like Black Widow. The ploy worked and Jade slide tackled Oscar off his feet. Oria spun around to send a spinning back kick to Oscar’s face!

Oscar would do his best to get back to his feet- but he would only be met with a spinning back kick that connected with his freckled face! The blow earned a cry of pain from Oscar as his efforts and stand were ripped away from him- leading him to fall back down onto the canvas and start again from scratch!
