Good Times: Alexander Lyons vs. Angela Belti

Unread post by TickTock »

Standard Match
Match can be won by pinfall or by submission
Standard rules apply.

LAW was a recent startup, but quickly it had become a powerhouse in the world of wrestling. And with each new expansion that came, more people needed to come in to help keep things running backstage. Those in the know about wrestling. And while you could find veterans anywhere, few had the exact same experience of being in locker rooms worldwide, accumulating knowledge from countless companies. And one who had started up their own women’s wrestling company.

Alexander Lyons was quickly acquired after establishing his company in America, hired on an advisor role, with the job to provide input on booking, talent management, and… to be wrestle. It was an unorthodox contract he signed, but the benefits were well worth it. And while in his older age he had considered retirement, throwing down in the ring after 5 years? It was definitely a tempting proposition he couldnt pass up.

A roar bellowed out through the arena, before the booming theme music kicked in, and the mountain of a man stepped out through the curtain. Now, while old age had slowed him down some, it hadn’t hindered his body, over 6 feet of rigid and thick muscle, his torso wide like a barrel, and arms large enough to lift any person that dared to come in his way.
Spoiler

Some fans recognized him from his time in America, while older fans recognized him for his work in Japan under the name Great Alexander, but here, he was just Alexander Lyons, a man who had seemingly left his wild days of aggression and terror behind in favor of pursuing a healthier and expanded wrestling business, shown in that, even as he tried to sport a fierce look, he couldn’t hide a happy smile on his face for the opportunity granted to him.

Part of that was due to his opponent for tonight who, as Alexander entered the ring and began to stretch in his corner, would make themselves very evident if he remembered her right.

Alexander Lyons. That was not a name Angela expected to hear anytime soon. Certainly not while waiting in the gorilla position for her next match. It brought with it a host of feelings and memories, linked to one of the wildest, most insane matches of her youth. A hellish bout that took everything out of her body, that left her bloody and exhausted, but helped build the foundation of her career. It seemed like so long ago.

And that wasn’t the only thing…

”Yo, Mom!”

Angela perked up at the sound of her daughter’s voice and looked over to see her standing there, carrying the water bottles she’d asked for. She nodded and took one, quickly gulping it down, before she brought her attention back to the screen, watching as Alexander came down to the ring with his usual thunder. He’d never been a man for subtlety.

”Something on your mind?” Dizzy walked over to her side, sipping the bottle as she gazed up at the screen. ”You know this guy?”

Angela sighed and nodded. ”That’s one way to put it. We had some intense matches in our time. Probably my toughest intergender opponent.” She wiped her lips and canted her head to the side, getting a better look at him. ”He’s aged well.”

”I’ll say, dude looks like a fu-” Dizzy cut herself off as Angela looked her way, withering under the glare. ”A monster. A total monster.”

Angela clicked her tongue at that, then rolled her shoulders, limbering up as Lyons’ music faded. ”Stay here.” She rubbed her shoulders and began to make her way through the curtain. ”Things might get a bit rough. I don’t want you in the crossfire.”

”Oh.” Dizzy perked up, cocking her eyebrow as an obvious confusion took over. Angela had always made a point of dragging her out to every match she could, wanting to give a wealth of experience, so this would come out of left field, but she didn’t look ready to complain. ”Okay, I’ll chill in catering. Have a good time.”

A seconds later and Angela was on her way down to the ring, strutting down the ramp as her

hummed behind her. She made her way up the steps, slid in through the ropes, and marched to the center of the ring, facing off against the giant of a man without a hint of fear.

”Lex.” She kept her face placid and serene, save for the sliver of a smile, nearly imperceptible to the human eye. ”You look well. How’s the family?”

Angela Belti. What a woman.

Alexander didn’t partake in intergender matches much in his youth, yet a promoter in the UK offered a very handsome payment to face off against one of the most dominant women wrestlers in the country at the time, so he accepted. Little did he know how grueling of a match it’d be. And what would happen after-

Angie,” Alexander remarked with his own nickname, his already smiling expression turning joyous upon starting a conversation with an old friend and opponent. “They’re wonderful. The missus sends her regards. I’m sure she’s gutted not being able to see you in person,” he chuckled.

And Alisha, she catches on quickly. She should actually be watching backstage, so don’t pull any punches.

At the same time, the blonde woman herself made her way into catering, snatching herself a salad and a water bottle, and seating herself in front of a monitor. Her father had instructed her to watch his match, as he was up against an old friend and one of his toughest foes, and that it’d make good study material. And while her father was working her ragged, she didn’t mind. She needed to eat anyway, and this Angela Belti, apparently she was some bigshot 20 years ago.

It’ll either be a squash or he takes pity on her,” Alisha thought out loud, crunching her teeth on a crouton, seeing them stand next to each other on the screen.

Now, as much as I’d love to chat, I’m sure your blood is pumping for this one, huh?” Alexander gave a playful tease, offering his hand out for a handshake, tucking his other behind his back. “Let’s settle this old “rivalry” once and for all.

It had been a while since Angela had come across anyone familiar enough to use her nickname. She’d forgotten how partial she was to the sound, especially from that tone.

She had chuckled and shook her head at the mention of his wife, then took a moment to look him over, really taking him in now that she was close. He’d always been an impressive specimen, but time had a way of chipping away at your physique, withering it like a rock on the shore. She was glad to see they were both exceptions to the rule. While neither of them were at their prime, you wouldn’t have been able to tell that at a glance, with both of them standing head and shoulder above most other wrestlers, figuratively and literally.

She glanced back at the mention of his own daughter, a brief wave of worry coming over her face before she turned back. ”My Dizzy is back there, as well. Hopefully paying attention. Probably not.”

Dizzy was not, in fact, paying attention to the match. Instead, her focus had found something far more engaging to center on - namely, the cute blonde with the nice butt and the long hair who’d wandered into catering. Dizzy scooped up a plate of lukewarm meatballs and sat nearby, steadily working her way closer as she prepared to try her game out, when the woman spoke up, not sounding too impressed with her Mom. Not that she could blame her too much, the guy she was taking on looked like a tank with a beard. But even Dizzy knew that wasn’t the end-all/be-all.

”Eh, you might be surprised. Mom’s no pushover, she’s wrecked big dudes before.” She brought a meatball up to her maw. ”You’re a fan of his, bella?

Back in the ring, Angela didn’t let the subject bother her for too long - Alexander was right, there were more pressing matters to focus on. She’d had an itch to brush up with him again in the ring for nearly two decades. It was past time she scratched it. ”Let’s.” She rolled her shoulders as the referee moved into place and called for the bell. ”May the best…” She smirked. ”...person win.”

Angela moved in straightaway, coming towards Alexander with surefooted steps. She knew she couldn't overpower him, he was always one of the few people who she couldn't handle in that regard, and she doubted time had changed that. But technique? There might have been an edge there. She could feel it out.

She brought her hands up as they neared and lunged forward, trying to engage him with a collar-and-elbow tie up. Plant the feet, ready the back, prepare for the storm.

Alexander saw that look of worry in Angela’s eyes as she looked back, and gave her a knowing look. Her past and the uncertainty it caused in the present, it must be quite the weight to bear. Yet comfort couldn’t come now. The fans paid to see the two wrestle, not hug it out.

Once the bell rung, Alexander moved in himself, yet kept his options open, just in case a head-on approach wasn’t Angela’s idea. Yet, it turned out to be, as getting closer and closer, the two bulls locked horns, engaging in a collar and elbow tie up. A classic opener, used to feel out an opponent.

Yet Alexander didn’t plan on letting Angela feel him out for long.

Well, if she is watching, let’s give her a show,” he quipped with a smile, before suddenly flexing his arms and throwing them forward, intent on tossing Angela across the ring and down to the mat. A brutish shove to break the tie up, one to show off his power and refuse his opponent a chance to gain any sort of insight.

Maybe teach her Mom ain’t so invincible in her old age, eh?” Alexander taunted, giving her a playful flex of his pecs afterwards, allowing her to get back to her feet if she intended on it, before offering a hand up to her, as though signaling for a test of strength. A challenge that he knew old Angela would’ve accepted without a second thought, but how about now?

What the fuck?!” Alisha jumped at the comment behind her, only to see some pipsqueak with meatball grease on her lips. Initially intent on ignoring her, the word “Mom” did catch her interest at least. “Hmph. He’s my dad.” Alisha answered that question, turning her head back to the monitor and munching on some lettuce. “Better hope your mom can hold her own. I need some studying material, and some hag getting tossed around isn’t going to be much good.

Huh. She was that guy’s daughter? Dizzy looked back between her and the screen a few times, looking for the family resemblance. Aside from the hair, she didn’t see too much, but then again, she was hardly one to talk. Whoever her father was, she’d gotten all the looks from him and not an inch of the height from her mother.

What she did inherit, however, was her mother’s trademark Italian temper. When a Belti got mad, she didn’t get loud. No, she let that anger simmer, heated it up, and served it at the right time. This girl, whether, she knew it or not, had activated the trap card when she called her mother a ‘hag’. As much as Dizzy wanted to get into the pants of just about every woman she came across in LAW, she was willing to make certain exceptions, and this was one of them. That would not stand.

Attack mode, activate.

”Oh, Mom can definitely hold her own. Don’t worry about that. I just hope your dad has the, uh…what’s the English word for it?” She rolled her tongue about for a moment, then nodded. Stamina. I hear that’s a common problem for men his age, in and out of the bed. Nothing a few pills can’t fix, though.” Dizzy started on dissecting another meatball. ”I’m Dizzy, by the way.” She paused. ”Second thought, Desdemona. Call me ‘Desdemona’.”

Angela might’ve been flattered to know that her daughter was protecting her honor backstage, but she would much prefer her to pay attention to the action, as things began to heat up in the ring. She had been wondering how much of the old power he had in the tank, and she found her answer when surged and sent her flying away. She went to her back, kicked her legs up, and wound up rolling to a single knee, where she stayed for a moment to look back his way.

Non male.” She nodded, rose to her feet, and came at him again, moving towards him with her arms raised. This time she waited until she was close to duck down, moving under his grasp, and attempted to capture him from behind with a waist lock. While she wasn’t known for her speed, she was willing to bet she was faster than him, and this was the perfect time to put that to the test.
