Personality:

When he’s donning the Aranha’s mask Miguel can be seen as a true professional, taking the matches so seriously a not so cautious observer could think he’s even cold. However, the man behind the mask has a powerful sense of honor. He sticks to the rules and would never break them, infuriating himself at injustice and rules breaking. He fights to the best of his ability and never relents, but always has the well-being of his rival in mind. He would never risk unnecesary injuries or purpousefully damage a rival if the same objective could be obtained with cleaner means. Despite his looks Miguel is a gentle soul, calm and soft spoken but also openminded and friendly towards good people. She liked believing in the good will of others and would help any rival shine even in defeat. He's brave and loves a challenge, always giving his best despite the outcome because for him a fight well fought is better than an unearned win.


History:

Miguel Rodrigues started his career in wrestling back in Portugal. He was part of Portugal’s national wrestling team and some voices even pointed him towards the Olimpic Team. He couldn’t be happier with this, but fate had some other things in store for him. When he got the best news possible, that he was going to be a dad with his wife, he decided it was time to at least temporarily retire, hang the boots and put all his attention on his growing family. And exactly that he did. Sports news lamented his loss but mostly everyone understood the decision and his charisma and reputation only grew.

Some years later Miguel had become a devoted father, but the longing for wrestling still made his soul ache. His little girl was now bigger and he could start thinking about resuming his career. However, new faces had appeared and his train had already left, leaving him in the station. He wasn’t as young as he was and his physical shape, if still very good, wasn’t at his peak. He had undergone a recent divorce, but he was in good terms with her ex-wife and they shared the custody of his child. For the first time now that the demands of parenthood weren’t that pressuring he was free to do what he wanted. He started scouting wrestling federations from around the world. He wanted to feel the thrill of engaging in combat once again and tried everywhere. One federation responded and even if it was based in Japan Miguel didn’t think twice and accepted joining.
