[____________History____________]
The only son of a detective duo in the New Orleans Police Department, Asher was raised up in a household where critical thinking and problem solving was constantly pushed. His mother and father would throw Asher problems to solve, and challenges to wrap his head around in the hopes that it would set him up well for life, or even allow him to take on the family tradition of detective work his fathers side had established nearly a century prior; and to their shock, it worked. Asher would be the youngest in his family to attend a University and earn his degree, Entering the police academy and earning his spot as a detective alongside his mother and father at the age of 22. His time in the department, However, would soon highlight a side-effect of Asher’s upbringing his parents hadn’t accounted for, a desperate desire for challenge, one that breached both the mental, and the physical spectrum.
Though his parents had never caught wind of it, Asher’s days in University hadn’t always been focused on study; in fact their son had, through the means of a class room acquaintance who had seen the young man’s love for challenge, found himself entering a local underground fight-club. To his own shock, Asher loved it, even if he wound up bloody, or flat out lost, the exhilaration had caught him and his love for challenge and the self improvement that came with it just dug him deeper. That feeling never left him, and when the possibility of a fight first reared it’s ugly head in his new job as a Detective, he was all too happy to oblige.
Now, it wasn’t uncommon for things to get a little tense between detectives and suspects, sometimes leading to full on brawls if the perpetrators weren’t willing to be taken in without a fight; but Asher had actively wanted the scuffles to happen, and went out of his way to get them if the opportunity arose, which made him something of a PR nightmare for the department. That being said, the combination of his high intelligence, knowledge in criminal behavior, and his ability to get results had made him a valuable asset to the department as a whole; which meant no-one was going to bat an eye when Asher took up training lessons with a local wrestler in an indie-league.
Eventually, however, the violent lengths in which Asher had reached to both get the job done and satisfy an urge would catch up with him; as the families of criminals who where effected by his antics had called for his resign, which after a loud enough uproar with even local media joining in, the department was forced to oblige. So, after 3 years of working in the field he had been lead to, Asher was momentarily on his own, or that was until the Wrestler he had paid to train him had offered to bring the now jobless Asher into the indie-leagues; and within a years time, Asher would be picked up LAW.
[____________Personality____________]
Pessimistic by nature, Asher expects the worst out of every outcome, but nevertheless faces every situation with an indomitable will and a bellicose method. To Asher, knowledge and experience are everything, the driving reasons and ways to better one’s self, which is why he finds such a thrill in fighting in general, every opponent is a new brain to dissect, a new puzzle to solve. When he is sure he’s solved said 'puzzle', or is generally in his element, Asher has no qualms in showing a more dominant, threatening side of himself, utilizing all he knows of his quarry to his advantage, and taking satisfaction in watching his plans against them come fruition. Though a bit of a loner and even temperamental in the worst of times, Asher is known for a charismatic wit and a sarcastically dry sense of humor that aids the heart of gold he so often hides.
