Having grown up on the streets, Chanyeol primarily looked out for himself. Learning early on in his youth that he couldn't rely on anyone too much, he stuck to his guns and learned to fight and survive on his own in the slums of the bustling city. He eventually became involved in an organized crime syndicate, quickly rising to power as an enforcer for his quick wit, vast intellect, and fighting prowess. He was given men, territory, missions, and most of all...money. However, despite his involvement, his missions were carried out with relative ease and minimal violence, much to the dismay of his own men. They wanted to tear things up and cause havoc in order to remind people who they were and what they can do...Chanyeol was heavily against that, citing it as moronic thinking fueled by an arrogant level of ego.
One day the gang was holding up a convenience store, looking to make a quick mark and score some cash and food. Of course, Chanyeol, being the tactful and considerate enforcer that he was, avoided harming any innocents, openly commanding his goons not to hurt anyone despite how bloodthirsty they were acting. Then suddenly, a certain wannabe hero came in to save the day. Thinking it was an easy extra target to mug, the gang members acted against Chan's orders and quickly proceeded to jump the mysterious stranger, but they were quickly dispatched in a matter of moments. Chanyeol was the last to make a stand but when he went to attack, the 'hero' stopped him dead in his tracks as if it were nothing...At that moment, Chanyeol was ready to give up and face jail. There was no way out of this situation and yet, for some reason or another, the 'hero' stuck up for him and managed to save him. Chanyeol was confused as to why and he demanded an answer...the man, Tae-Hyun Lee simply said it was because of the fact that Chanyeol "was a good guy deep down".
This moment moved him to his core and was the start of a strong brotherhood between Chanyeol and Tae-Hyun. Since then, Chanyeol cleaned up his act and the two began to become quick friends. While doing job searching, Tae-Hyun helped Chanyeol become more of a sociable person, and that cold nature of his quickly melted away. He became a software technician, quickly finishing school, earning his degree, and becoming an IT specialist soon after while volunteering at Tae-Hyun's orphanage on the side. Life was good...and Chanyeol had a new perspective on everything...
After a bit, he was approached by Tae-Hyun to join him in pro wrestling. Thinking nothing of it, Chanyeol decided to join in on the harmless fun. He found out that the call of pro wrestling was irresistible. He quickly understood what made it so much fun for his best friend. The two were a nigh-unstoppable duo in the indie leagues, the crowd loved them and their energy, and they loved the crowd right back. This feeling of adoration and praise was far warmer than the kudos and respect Chanyeol had gotten from the higher-ups of his former gang. It felt real, genuine, and it lacked that sense of dirtiness and filth that was so rigorously attached to his past life as an enforcer.
Down the line, after around two years of working together, the two were approached by LAW and quickly offered a deal to work as both a tag team and individual wrestlers. They both took the opportunity while it was fresh on the table and now, they were going to show the world the combined might of the Cold Moon of Seoul and the Firestarter of Busan.
Personality: Chanyeol was once a coldhearted, calculating, and cunning individual when he was still rolling with his former gang. While he's still cunning and calculating, he's become far more kindhearted and casual thanks to Tae-Hyun's influence. As if that heroic sense of justice and warmth was contagious, Tae-Hyun helped Chan become a better person and the results show for themselves. While sarcastic and sometimes stoic, he's nonetheless pretty fun and chill to be around.
