Announce team

Was wondering if we should have two NPC character we can use as an announce team.That way we can have another wrestler at ringside while a match is going on , and could either mock or interfere if she was in a feud with one of the two wrestlers currently fighting in the ring.

Would like to see everyone thought on the matter and see if anyone sees the value of making npc characters for an announce team.

I feel like implementing an announce team directly into threads is hard to do in a nice and simple way. I think the best way I've seen people do match commentary is to have a separate thread run parallel to an ongoing match. For example, if two characters are involved in a thread in a bar or at someone's house and they're watching their friend's or a mutual acquaintance's match on TV and commenting on the match as it's happening, I think that makes for a good thread with dedicated match commentary.

But having characters serve as a dedicated announce team would prove to be a challenge for post based rp. I'm sure there's a way to do it, though. I'd love to get people to do more threads that run parallel to matches and has more characters interacting and acknowledging others and their matches.

I am still new to RPing, but found that for matches in an arena (as opposed to gym, backstage bed, etc.), I like having announcers commenting on the match live, to add a live spectator's perspective, and add some drama. I like having 2 announcers because of the interplay between them (for example, one serious while the other jokes, or one cheering the heel, while the other cheers the face, etc.), and I've always liked the dynamic of Jerry and J.R.

Winner - I agree with you that it is challenging to RP both announcers in every post. I was only RPing them in posts where I wanted to add some drama, such as entrances, high impact moves, extremely dirty moves, humiliations, etc.

I have not yet started an arena match on LAW, but I created 2 announcer profiles on AFW here:

and said that anyone is free to use them and RP as them in any matches, or to add info to their bios or personalities.

Would LAW be open to signing them as well?

I'd add pics for them and maybe a maybe a few more sentences for their personality and past, but yes, of course, peek. Feel free to sign them up and use them however you'd like as long as your rp partners are cool with it. I look forward to seeing your matches, hopefully in the near future
