I really don't want to have to be making this announcement, but I suppose it can't be helped. I've been struggling with this decision for a long time, and I've gone back and forth about it multiple times. But I don't want to lead anyone on any longer. I know it isn't the answer that anyone here wants to hear, nor is it the answer I want to be telling you, but ultimately, I'm unable to find in me the passion and enjoyment I had for LAW. For that reason, I think it's time for me to leave this site in the past.

I've really enjoyed my time in LAW. I've told some great stories, met some great people, and I've grown very attached to everything that's happened here, to the point where my characters and those of others have come to feel like dear friends. I had many plans with many people, and I doubtlessly would have had many more. I'm going to miss it all. I wish it could continue.

I've tried to rekindle my enthusiasm for the site, because I truly didn't want to see it go, but it hasn't worked. The negative baggage is still there. I still have strong disagreements about the way this site is being run, with the people behind it, and with how I and other users have been treated on it, and these things have made me feel unwelcome in the community. I realize that it's best for me to finally commit, and to move on.

I harbor no ill will toward anyone who wishes to remain on the site. The people I've met and the stories I've told mean a lot to me, and I will always cherish them. I am still willing to work with the people I have met here, and to continue the stories we've started, if there's a capacity in which I can do so. I want to still see those stories through to their full potential, if there is any way we can. I'll be available in DMs to continue our threads and storylines there, if people are willing to. I will also continue to be active on AFW, which I intend to direct my full focus toward in the future.

In the meantime, I will be giving away a few of my characters to trusted friends. I have faith in them to do them justice as they carry things on in my absence. My characters are still very important to me, and I want to see it through that they go to good homes where they'll get the honors they deserve.

For all other characters, I officially renounce the rights to their faceclaims. They can be used as one wishes. If you would like to adopt one of my characters as-is, with their original history, please contact me about doing so. I will retain all my characters for any purposes outside of LAW, including DMs and AFW. I am willing to let DM threads be posted to LAW, with the permission of everyone in ownership of all involved characters.

I want to apologize to anyone disappointed by the news. Believe me, I'm disappointed too. But, in the end, it's time I moved forward and wrote the next chapter of my life, and to do that, I need to leave LAW behind. It will greatly be missed. I wish you the best of luck for the future, in all of your endeavors, as you move ahead too, in whatever way you can.

Don't be sad that it's over. Be happy that it happened.

I’m sorry to see you go. I realize I may not have been the best poster with you, but your threads always were a treat to read and served as major inspiration for me, and the times we did post together were some of my most passionate and engaging.

I'm following you. Without you, it's not much fun for me to sit around trying to think of a clear goal for creating a story around our characters.

I remember how you were the first person to reach out to me on LAW, and the first person that I RPed with. It made me feel welcome, and it helped make getting started on LAW a lot less daunting for me.

Ultimately, it's hard to say how things would have played out had you not welcomed me. But, what I can say for certain is that the site message you sent me, a new user, back in September of 2020 was very meaningful and is a message that I still remember. In fact, I still remember the profile picture of your character Marzia Servelli that you had when you had first reached out to me---the exchange was that memorable to me.
