It's only been, what... Six years since I've been around these parts?
First things first, I would like to apologize for my sudden departure from the site back in 2019. I know I left a number of people and threads hanging, including some for events and some with very good friends. I didn't intend to leave the site altogether at the time, but this far on it's pretty clear that my intent had little impact on the reality of the situation.
I would also like to apologize that I did not communicate what was going on at the time and vanished without a word to so many people. I'm not going to offer any excuses, but know that I do regret not taking the time to let people know that I was leaving and why I was leaving. I'm very sorry if my departure caused you any worry.
Secondly, for those threads I left without completing, I will be considering them cancelled by default. If I had a thread with you that you would like to resume, please feel free to reach out to me and we can talk about it. I'm open to picking up threads again or restarting them (I'm kind of assuming this would be the only way to resume a match from a long-finished event) if people are interested, and those will be my first priority.
Thirdly, I'm going to be taking things pretty slow to get back into the swing of things. If you would like a thread with me, feel free to reach out, but know that we might have to wait to get started. I am just coming out of a fairly intensive time, and I don't want to burn myself out doing fun stuff again. I'm planning to throw together a roster page that will have some details as to the kinds of threads that I'm interested in, but I will be a little more picky about accepting thread requests than I have been in the past.
