Apex vs. Sirya - Can I Get a Volunteer?

The official prepares to strike the mat for the second count.

Apex feels her body tense beneath his, not entirely used to the feeling of skin against fur, but not altogether unwelcome. Take away the sass and attitude, and Sirya's cute. At least, she looks it. Nevertheless, he keeps pressed against her, willing to let the pin ride out.

Her thigh and hips suddenly buck, pulling free of his grip and jostling her shoulders enough to qualify as a break! The officiator's hand barely whiffs the mat before they signal only a one-count! Apex snorts and lifts to his knees beside the girl. His hands go for her upper-arms to pull her back up to her feet. "Not ready to let the match end, hm?," he taunts as he pulls.

Sirya managed to kick her leg free, and the counting stopped. That must mean she was doing something right, at any rate, which pleased her. However, she didn't have much time to smirk contentedly with herself before Apex grabbed for her arms and pulled her up to her feet with a sudden jerk, barely giving her time to react.

This was certainly a better position to be in than to be pinned beneath her foe's weight, but still, Sirya would've appreciated being able to use her arms. She narrowed her eyes at Apex, pulling from side to side as she tried to free herself from his clutches, and clenched her teeth, not willing to go down without a fight.

"I'm gonna take you down! Just watch!" she snapped back at Apex. Seeing that trying to pull herself free wasn't really getting her anywhere, Sirya went for the next best thing, kicking up a knee to try and strike at his gut.

Apex sneers at his shorter opponent, and he looks ready to throw her around the ring more. She chose to continue fighting! Brought it upon herself. That's what he'd say - probably shortly before demanding the match continue, despite.

Whatever his plans were for the mouthy human, they're cut short by her knee ramming into his tight abdominals! "Gnnh..!" He releases her arms in favor of leaning forward, his chest against hers, arms protectively wrapped around his midsection to avoid another blow!

Sirya's knee landed where she hoped it would, and the thump that sounded as she struck her opponent's abs was a satisfying sound, one that brought a smile to her face. Even as Apex went to shield his front from further punishment, Sirya wasn't perturbed. She had other plans in mind.

Plans she would soon put into action, as she scrambled around Apex while he was reeling and lept up to clambor onto his back. This was a tactic she'd used to great success in the past - no matter how big an opponent was, they still had weak points, and everything needed to breathe. Sirya was planning to target one of those weak points, as she went to throw both arms into place around Apex's neck and wrench backwards in an attempt to choke him out.

A rumble of a groan escapes the skunk as he recovers from the knee to the midsection. It wasn't enough to halt him, but it seemed to serve Sirya's purpose - she's free and suddenly not in front of him! No worries, he soon realizes exactly where she is when she pounces onto his back.

Arms clamp around his neck, and Apex's eyes widen. Mouth agape, his back arches from the hold, pushing his firm chest out to the audience. His hands grab at her arms, attempting to overpower her hold and force them loose before he loses too much air! Few things panic him quite like actually being choked, and given some things she'd said before, he isn't sure he trusts her with his unconscious body!

"Ghh..! Get... off..!," he growls between strained breaths.

Sirya could hardly contain her excitement. It was working, just as she'd hoped - it looked like this strange skunk man was no different than the bears and panthers she had wrestled into submission by going for the throat. A wide toothy grin spred across her face as she clamped down harder.

Apex barked at her to get off, but Sirya wasn't listening. Instead, she just squeezed down harder and twisted her body back and forth, wringing his neck between her arms, which were gripping as tightly as they could. "No!" she shouted back in defiance. From where she was, Sirya could tell that Apex was getting nervous, and that pleased her - she had him just where she wanted him, and he already knew that he was sunk. Then it'd just be a matter of time.

Each huff of a breath is getting harder and harder to manage! The skunk grips her arms tighter, but he can't seem to loosen her limbs! His eyes screw shut, jaw clamped and seething through his teeth. The audience is roaring, and despite his predicament and panic, he can appreciate how it must look. He's bigger than her, more toned, obviously aggressive and forceful; they have to be enjoying the turnabout.

Granted, he doesn't intend to let it continue.

The skunk sinks to a knee. With one hand still gripping her forearm, he draws in his left arm. It fires back in a snap, aiming to collide his elbow with her ribs a couple times!

With each passing moment, Apex seemed to be growing weaker and weaker. This was it, Sirya thought to herself. Any second now, her opponent would go down. Which would, more importantly, mean she'd get to go back to her business undisturbed, and get a meal out of the process. Although she was starting to question if Apex really was a dumb animal at this point - no animal would be so stupid as to showboat in front of everyone when it would be so easy to go for the kill. His obliviousness was...well, it was almost endearing, she had to admit. But she had to wait it out all the same.

It came as encouraging to the girl as Apex lowered himself to the ground, like he was burning up his last reserves. But to her surprise, Apex had some fight left in him after all, as he drew his arm back before elbowing her hard in the ribs. Sirya weathered the first blow, shaking her though she stayed on tight. But then another came, and another, and each one weakened her grip a little. Finally, she was forced to let go altogether, and she dropped onto her back, releasing Apex in the process.

Each hit is punishing, indicative of his desperation to work himself free! And when she's suddenly released him, the skunk swells with a deep inhale before heaving forward onto all fours. He breathes hard for a few seconds, freeing a hand to run through his hanging, white-tipped bangs. Though he'd prefer to take a little more time recovering from the choke, he knows he can't. She wouldn't give him that much space.

With a huff, he pushes himself back up to his full height and looks down at the girl on her back. He reaches down to grab her by a couple fistfuls of her ebon hair again, intent on pulling her up to her full height. Leaning in towards her, he moves a hand beneath her jaw, the other between her legs, intent on loading her back across his shoulders. If he can get her into position, he pulls down on her jaw with one hand, the other pulling down on her bare thigh to arch her body at a tight angle in a torture rack!

"Now howl for me!"

Once again, Apex bent down to scoop Sirya up by the hair. That was starting to get annoying, and the girl let out a pained squeal to say as much. "Gaah-! Stop that-!" she said. But Sirya didn't have much time to react before the skunk placed her on his shoulders and pulled down on her from either end, contorting her body in the appropriate directions.

Sirya let out a scream, more from her own pain than any encouragement on his part. As best she could, she started to thrash back and forth in place, though in some part this would largely put strain on her, when it wasn't simply out of the question entirely due to the awkward position she found herself in. She didn't exactly know what he was trying to do to her - break her back? Whatever it was, it hurt - and Sirya didn't want to let him get away with it. She'd fight it out as long as she could manage.
