Erin Quinn vs Yamato Nadeshiko

Erin jumped and drove her feet right into Yamato's gut. Though the redhead landed on her back, her kick had the desired effect of knocking her foe on their ass. Erin soon scrambled to her feet, eager to capitalize on her success. She knew there was no time to rest if she wanted to get past the first round. With her opponent down Erin rushed over to her. She figured now might be a good time to try a submission hold, but that just wasn't Erin's style. Instead she planned to soften her opponent up her way, which would be to simply pound them into the mat. If that didn't work...well she'd just have to try harder.

Erin approached Yamato until she was looking right down at the woman. The redhead swifly turned, took a hop into the air, and would attempt to slam her elbow right down into Yamato. It wasn't the most elegant move but Erin was hoping she could drive any remaining air out of her opponent's lungs. Her opponent wouldn't be putting up much of a fight if she couldn't breath after all. She couldn't help but hope in the back of her mind that the crowd would appreciate it. She'd have to be sure to try something a little more flashy later.

The move would bring Erin down to the ground. If she landed it Erin would get onto her knees and follow up by standing and taking her opponent up to their feet with her. If she were to miss though the redhead would be on the ground clutching her elbow in pain.

After being sent speeding into Erin's dropkick, Yamato would find herself down and stunned momentarily. She was down on her stomach, trying to push herself up to a vertical base before she could fight back. But Erin kept coming. The redhead had been throwing haymakers since the sound of the bell and didn't show any intentions of stopping anytime soon. Yamato had attempted to push herself up. The Japanese Native had just made it to her hands and knees when Erin committed to her swift follow up.

"AUGH!" Yamato groaned as Erin came down hard onto her back with an Elbow Drop.

Nadeshiko would be sent back down to the canvas. The move she was struck down with, though dynamic and fun, seemed to cheers for both woman from the fans. Fans cheered Erin's fun and straightforward moves. The redhead was already a crowd favorite amongst folks in the Tokyo Dome. But perhaps just as many cheered to see Yamato find her way back into this matchup! The hometown hero and the Irish Lass continued at it, leaving everything in the ring on their quest for the gold.

After striking Yamato down, Erin took to her knees before grabbing hold of her leotard clad foe and pulling her up to her feet. Upon making it to a vertical base, Yamato would look at Erin with a gleam in her eye before jumping up and attempting to fight back with a Standing Dropkick!

Erin was more than happy to drive Yamato back down to the mat. In fact she would have gladly done just that all match while the crowd cheered on. She knew though that that was unrealistic and so after she got up she would pull her opponent to her feet. Expecting to be able to easily maneuver her foe, she did not think Yamato would be able to do much jumping. She was unpleasantly surprised though as her opponent left her feet and quickly landed a drop kick.

"Guuugh!" The redhead groaned as she felt a pair of feet drive into her gut. Erin was forced back, stumbling a few steps before she was unable to keep her balance. Falling right on her butt Erin let out a quick yelp. She was close enough to the ropes to lean backwards slightly and rest against them. It would take a second but Erin would turn herself towards the ropes, clutching her gut with one hand, and try to use them to help her pull herself up.

"Alright...you got me there. Not gonna happen again though." The Irish brawler mumbled. Her opponent hit pretty hard and while Erin was no stranger to taking a few hits, she had no desire to test out just how many of Yamato's moves she could endure.

After enduring a rally of moves by the Irish brawler, Yamato sought to begin to turn things around. Erin was a difficult opponent, indeed. But Yamato resolved to take everything Quinn had to offer and deal it back to her ten fold if she had to. She was able to jump up and dropkick her foe harshly, planing both soles of her boots on Erin's chest before falling back down to the canvas.

The move earned the Japanese wrestler the precious breathing she needed to try and regroup. Yamato would remain prone for a few seconds, breathing heavily before pushing herself up to her hands and knees. Slowly, she'd make her way up to her feet and lean on the ropes behind her before observing Erin, who was in a similar situation across the ring. Yamato would nod once to the referee to signify that she was still good to go before standing up straight and marching towards Erin.

Without wasting further time, Nadeshiko would would attempt to aim a swift kick towards her foe's midsection. If the kick connected and she was able to make Erin double over, she'd follow up by placing her hands on the red head's skull and attempting to take her down to the mat with a Snapmare before going for yet another cover.

"I'm winning that title, Erin-chan!" Yamato would say forcefully if she were able to pin her foe, again.

Erin groaned as she was swiftly sent back a few inches by her opponent's kick. The redhead immediately doubled over, clutching her gut and gasping for air. Had it not been for sheer force of will Erin felt that she might have even been brought down to her knees. It was apparent her foe hit like a truck. The redhead would have to avoid trading blows with her if she wanted to go far in this match. She figured she might still come out on top in that scenario, but wasn't as confident as she'd like to have been.

Without being given much time to recover, Erin was tossed onto the mat, landing with a thud. "Ugh!" She cried out, now looking up at the ceiling. Erin took a deep breath and slowly wiped a bit of hair away from her face. Soon though she felt Yamato on top of her, trying to hold her down. For the moment there was nothing Erin was able to do, still hurting from the kick.

Quickly the referee came over and began a count. "One!" they announced.

"Nnng damn it!" Erin groaned. She'd quickly try to push up, hoping to be able to get in a quick jab or two to Yamato's ribs to help her predicament. This was her opponent's second attempt at an early pin and it was slowly starting to get on Erin's nerves. She wasn't going to let the woman get away with taking her lightly. There was no way she would let herself live it down if she was put away this quickly in what was so far her most important match.

Yamato's kick had found it's mark. She was able to stagger her red headed foe and open her up to follow up move. Rather than go for anything fancy, the Japanese native attempted a simple snapmare takedown in the pursuit of pinning her foe and trying to get more momentum going. Sure enough, Nadeshiko was able to throw Erin down to the canvas and quickly follow up by pinning the red head while asserting that the middleweight belt was indeed hers to lay claim to.

Yamato knew that she likely wouldn't put Erin away yet, but she hadn't expected for the Irish brawler to kick out after a mere one count! Yamato would be forced off of Erin's person, with another stiff punch to the ribs to show for it! She'd groan and hold her side before attempting to work her way up to her feet. The black haired wrestler would reach down and attempt to hoist Erin up by her hair and arm. She'd attempt to push Erin towards the ropes with the intention of pulling her off them by the arm to send her running across the ring with an Irish Whip! If Yamato was able to thrust Erin to the other side of the ring, she'd take a second before running after her with the intention of meeting her in the center! Yamato would throw herself at Erin and torque herself, attempting to hit her with a crowd-pleasing, dynamic move! A Corkscrew Crossbody!

"KYAAAH!" Yamato would roar as she attempted the move.

After kicking out of the attempted pin, Erin soon found herself being tossed towards the ropes. The Irish brawler was not going to let Yamato get away with Irish whipping her though. As she bounced off the ropes, Erin got ready to strike. Hoping that she could surprise Yamato the redhead would attempt to clothesline her opponent. As she turned though it was apparent that wasn't going to go as planned. Erin would instead just crash into the charging woman and crumble to the mat. "Gaaaah!...ugh..." She groaned, once again finding herself on the floor. She only hoped that whatever momentum she retained from bouncing off the ropes was enough to do some damage too.

Erin's chest would slowly rise and fall as she caught her breath. "Alright...so you're tough..." She commented between pants. Slowly she would shake her head and attempt to push herself back up. If there was one thing Erin could do besides dish out hits, it was take them. Hoping there was enough time Erin would prepare for whatever might be coming next if Yamato got up before her. The redhead would try to be a bit more sneaky than she usually would be, preparing to rise and aim an uppercut at Yamato if the woman was approaching her. If her opponent had yet to get up though Erin would make her own move, hoping to grab Yamato and drag her to her feet before trying to trap her in a tight bearhug.

Yamato was able to continue to rally. She threw her Irish foe towards the ropes and readied herself for a flashy move. The standout middleweight leaped into the air and twirled before taking Erin down with a Corkscrew Crossbody. The move drained Yamato of stamina, especially after having used it from a standing position. But it did a good job of taking her foe down hard. After rolling off Erin and getting a small bit of distance, Yamato would take time to catch her breath. She'd slowly begin to rise, doing so at the same time as Erin. Her opponent's resiliency impressed her, and the two seemed be to building mutual respect. But this was no time to comment on that.

Yamato rose up just after Erin, making her easily set up for the Bearhug attempt by heavier, brawnier middleweight. Erin's muscular arms would tense around Yamato's tight, hard frame and ensnare her in a crushing embrace!

"NNGH...! UGH!" Yamato groaned in pain. She placed her hands on Erin's shoulder and arched her back, trying desperate to find a way to resist. If Erin kept the hug locked in, the referee would approach and ask Yamato the all-important question. To which she'd respond by crying out: "N-NO!"

Erin managed to trap her foe in a tight bearhug. While she was still a bit winded from the previous move she took, it seemed that what effort she was able to exert was still enough to get her opponent hurting. It wasn't enough to get her to give up though, a fact Erin would try to fix. The redhead would momentarily loosen her grip before trying to squeeze even harder, digging her arms into Yamato's body. "Well let's see how long until you say yes!" Erin yelled, attempting to crush her foe in her grip.

With her arms now secured around her opponent, Erin would bend at the knees before attempting to lift Yamato off of her feet. One was or another either the crowd or her opponent was going to be left breathless, or if Erin had her way both. Her opponent wasn't exactly easy to hold in the air but the redhead wanted to keep her from fighting back too much while she pressed her flat. "Might...as well tap out now!" Erin said with a growing grin as she strained her muscles to keep her opponent held tight.

Yamato continued to endure the pain of being trapped in Erin's bearhug. It was a simple but effective means for the red headed powerhouse to whittle away at the Japanese superstar's core and stamina. After refusing to submit outright, Erin began to lift Yamato off the ground and up the pressure even further. Yamato breathed heavily. Her situation worsened by the second, but she did not falter. When Erin began to goad her into tapping out, her eyes widened. Nadeshiko pulled her leg back before attempting to thrust a hard knee into her foe's midsection! She'd attempt to break free and force the woman to double over by holding onto Erin's shoulders with her hands and throwing repeated knee strikes if she had to.

"HYA!" Yamato cried with each successive blow.

If she were able to free herself from Erin's crushing hug, she'd attempt to grab hold of Erin's head by placing each on on the side of Erin's skull, near her ears. Yamato would attempt to answer her foe's Bearhug by jumping and falling down to the mat in an attempt to drive Quinn's head into the canvas with a Sitout Facebuster!
