Catching up: Ashley and Belinda

Ashley was walking down the street as the evening sun was fading into the horizon, wanting to arrive at her destination soon before it got dark. She was on her way to a bar to meet up with Belinda Northman, a fellow American blonde who Ashley had recently faced in a wrestling match. Though that match hadn't ended favourably for Ashley the two of them had hit it off pretty well and had exchanged numbers after it and had gotten to talking. Following a a recent match that had ended rather... unfortunately for the blonde, to put it lightly, Ashley decided that she needed to have a fun night out to take her mind off of it, so she had invited Belinda out.

Despite being the one who invited Belinda out Ashley herself was running a little late, so when she did arrive Belinda would likely be waiting for her. Ashley was wearing black jeans and a black top with Alaina Saunders on it, proving that the girl was just as much a wrestling fangirl as she was a wrestler in her own right. Ashley looked around, trying to see if she could spot Belinda "Did I get here before her?" she mused.

Belinda had been rather happy when she got the call from Ashley and the request to go out for a drink. She quite liked the fellow blonde and they had hit things off rather well in their rather competitive match. She saw Ashley as someone she could have a good rivalry and friendly relationship with. She had arrived a bit late because she got a call from her older sister.

Belinda would walk a bit faster towards the bar and as she rounded the corner she would see Ashley there. " Heey!" Belinda would shout out to Ashley as she waved her hand. The young blonde sported a long sleeved white light rib polo top. Black leggings and a navy blue skirt coupled with brown leather boots. She would march over towards Ashley and give her a bright smile as she would nudge the shoulder of Ashley with her right hand.

" Woah! Alaina shirt, nice!" Belinda would compliment Ashley on her choice of shirt, as she herself was a massive fan of Alaina Sanders as well!

Ashley turned as she heard Belinda calling, smiling at her as she took a good look at her outfit, it was quite a bit more stylish than Ashley's own outfit and made her second guess her choice. Belinda didn't seem to agree though and complimented her on her shirt "Heh, thanks. Your outfit is pretty nice too" she said with a smile, before turning to the front doors of the bar "Let's head in, shall we?" As the two of them walked in and grabbed a table something occurred to Ashley "Hey, you've been at LAW longer than I have. So I was wondering, have you met Alaina?" she'd ask as she settled in her seat.

Belinda stepped up and nodded her head as Ashley turned to the front door and walked in, Belinda followed close by as they entered the bar. Hearing Ashley start to ask her about if she had met Belinda, the Swedish-American would smile a bit and then look over at Ashley. " Hah! Actually yeah. I met her after my match with Chigusa." Belinda said as she'd walk over and settle in a seat opposite of Ashley.

"Now...so funny story. I was actually allowed to spar with her! Can you believe it?" Belinda said with a wide grin on her face, that grin slowly turned a bit sheepishly as she would scratch with her index finger against her cheek. " I didn't do so well against her tho...haha"

Ashley couldn't help but grin when Belinda confirmed that she had indeed met Alaina, and when she went on to explain that she actually got a chance to spar with Alaina Ashley's jaw dropped "Holy crap! W-wow!" It took a good few seconds for Ashley to snap out of it, realising that she was leaning really far forward when she did so. She sat back and reclined in her seat, though she was still looking right at Belinda with wide eyes "I'm so jealous! Uh, except the part about getting beaten up by her, haha" she joked.

Despite her joke Ashley couldn't help but imagine meeting Alaina now, even the idea of getting thrashed by her in a sparing match seemed great if it meant getting to meet her. Besides Belinda the people Ashley had met at LAW so far weren't exactly ideal. Ashley realised she had been spacing out for a bit and shook her head "Uh, I'll get the first round of drinks. What do you want?" she asked, getting up to her feet.

Belinda would nod her head feeling pretty great about having met her idol still and it seemed her rival here was impressed with her having met the Amazon. Belinda would smirk and then keep talking. " Well, our spar was also kinda interrupted even though we got to finish it. See my aunt came and she kinda has some history with Alaina. Old rivals and all that." Belinda said as she would lean back a bit in her seat.

Seeing Ashley shake her head and then get up onto her feet. " I'll take a beer to start out with. Maybe a strong zero?" Belinda asked before she'd look on at the pretty blonde. " What are you having? I think I'll just have the same." The Swedish American said.

Ashley nodded along as Belinda explained that her spar with Alaina got interrupted by the arrival of her aunt, who apparently had history with with Alaina. Belinda's aunt was someone who had history with Alaina? Ashley would have to ask her more about that when she came back with their drinks. Ashley would order two beers from the counter and found herself thinking about what Belinda had said while she waited. Someone who had history with Alaina Sanders. An old rival. Suddenly Ashley's eyes widened in shock at a sudden realisation, it couldn't possibly be her could it?

Once she got their beers the blonde would hurry back to their table, setting their tray down a little too hard "H-hey Belinda? Can I ask you a question?" she said, sounding like she'd go ahead and ask either way "I-is your aunt Aurora Lund?" Though now that she'd made such a big deal out of it Ashley would realise that it would be quite embarrassing if she wasn't her aunt.

Belinda would look on at Ashley as she went off to get their beers, she nodded her head a bit to herself and looked around a the bar. It was quite a nice one, pretty modern aesthetic. It looked as if it was a pretty new one as well. She didn't have to wait very long before Ashley found her way back with two beers in hand. She watched her set the tray down a bit too hard and Belinda would raise her eyebrow as Ashley came at her with a question.

" Hmm?" When she finally heard what the question was she'd tilt her head a little. " Yeah, Aurora is my aunt." Belinda said pretty matter-of-factly. She'd nod her head and then reach out for her beer. " Uh, I suppose I should disclose that my older sister is Cecilia Northman. Though since we have the same surname that might not be a surprise. You a fan of Aurora's?" Belinda would ask as she smiled a bit to Ashley.

For the second time within the last two minutes Ashley's jaw dropped and her eyes widened. Belinda was directly related to THE Aurora Lund! Aurora Lund the wrestling legend! Aurora Lund; Ashley's answer to the question 'who do you want to be like when you grow up?' since she was 7 years old!!! Not only that, but Cecilia Northman was her sister. Ashley had always sort of suspected it, but now she'd heard it straight from the horses mouth. Not that this revelation was as exciting to Ashley as the last; she idolised and respected Aurora whereas she'd probably cross the road if she saw Cecilia walking towards her on the sidewalk.

Belinda then asked Ashley if she was a fan of Aurora's. Normally when asked that question Ashley would let the floodgates loose and start gushing about the woman; about how strong and beautiful she was, about all her memorable clashes with her equally legendary rivals, about how exciting it was that she had joined the ranks of LAW and most of all about how much she had inspired Ashley. But the idea of spewing all that praise directly to the woman's own niece was embarrassing to Ashley and might be quite awkward for Belinda as well.

For that reason Ashley would look away to the side and proceed to tell a completely unconvincing lie "Eh, she's alright I guess."

Belinda looked on at Ashley's expression seem to change wildly for a while as thoughts seemed to run through her head, until finally she looked away from the Swedish-American and looked to the side. Hearing Ashley's words Belinda would smile a bit and lean forward on the table. She'd reach forward and ruffle Ashley's short hair a bit in a teasing manner.

" Haha~ Yeah I guess she is." Belinda let out as she would then lean back and take a sip of her beer. " If you had been a fan of hers I could have tried to introduce you two." Belinda spoke out as she would look away, " But since you don't seem to be that interested...." Belinda trailed off as she would take another sip of her beer, clearly trying to bait Ashley.
