After her encounter with Alaina, the blonde goddess walked backstage, her face contorted with pain. The pain in her neck became unbearable, and she couldn't move her head without feeling an infernal burning sensation. Some staff members who noticed the bruise on her neck quickly attended to her and took her to the infirmary.

There, they made sure to put her in a neck brace, since in addition to the concussion, she suffered a cervical injury from the blow with the bottle and the hard impact after Alaina's finisher. The nurse was clear.

"You have a fracture in your neck. You were lucky the bone didn't break completely. Otherwise, you would have been quadriplegic."

Garlim winced as she tried to adjust her chin on the brace. "Is it that serious?... What damage is there? At least I'll be fine in a month?" Garlim's mind raced at the possibility of being sidelined.

"Listen, I recommend you rest for at least six months."

Upon hearing this, Garlim raised her hands and slammed the cot she was sitting on. "SIX MONTHS!!!? I have a very important fight in a month!!" Garlim said hysterically.

The nurse shook her head. "You're going to have to postpone that. You were very lucky to get here on foot."

Svetlana didn't know Garlim all that well, but she heard she was in the hospital after a match and since she was near by she decided to go check in to see how she was holding up. Svetlana was wearing some jeans, white sneakers and an old t-shirt from a Munchkin setting she liked. She hoped Garlim didn't mind the casual dress. She wasn't sure how severe things were, but she hoped that it was going to be something like "rest for a few weeks, get reevaluated then back to the ring you go" or some similar situation.

She got the information for where Garlim's room was and when she arrived she slowly poked her head in. "Hey, is it all right if I come in?" She asked as she waited for a final permission from Garlim. If Garlim wasn't in the mood or she was resting Svetlana wasn't going to interrupt the big powerhouse.

After being examined by the nurse, Garlim was advised to lie down for a while as she received an intravenous injection. This delivered anti-inflammatory and anesthetic medication near the spine to alleviate the pain.

Garlim lay in her hospital bed, her neck still throbbing despite the treatment, confirming that it was indeed a fracture. She had been staring at the ceiling for half an hour, her mind racing with thoughts of her upcoming fight and the potential consequences of her injury. The irony was palpable, as she had now suffered a similar injury to Hana Leonheart, whose career would ultimately end due to it.

Garlim now felt she had just squandered this new opportunity and began to feel melancholic. Hearing Svetlana's voice, she turned her head slightly, wincing as a sharp pain shot through her neck. "Svetlana?" Garlim said, somewhat incredulous.

Svetlana was happy that Garlim was awake. Sge smiled and stepped into the room. She waved to Garlim.

"Yes I was in the area and wanted to stop by if that is all right?" Svetlana asked as she looked over at Garlim. "What happened?"

Garlim's expression softened slightly at Svetlana's kindness, and she offered a weak smile. "Hey, thanks for coming," Garlim said, her voice still heavy with pain. "I was in a match against Alaina and... well, let's just say I underestimated her smash." Garlim winced as she shifted her position, looking for a more comfortable spot.

"Huh... I didn't think it was anything serious. The diagnosis was that I need six months for the fracture to heal..."

Svetlana looked at her in shock and shook her head. "Six months? I am so sorry to hear that. I don't know what I can do, but if I can help you in any way I am more than happy to." Svetlana said.

"Does anyone else know the full extent yet?" Svetlana asked. She could only imagine how awful Garlim felt. She would not be the type to take resting very well at all. Svetlana could only hope that the recovery went more smoothly and quickly than expected.

"Oh, yeah... I wrestled the former heavyweight champion, so the whole wrestling community already knows," Garlim replied, a mix of frustration and resignation in her voice. "I've been getting some messages from friends on the circuit, trying to offer their support." She paused, taking a deep breath as she tried to process her emotions. "It's just that... I was so close to winning that match, and now I feel like I..." Garlim lowered her gaze and began fidgeting with her fingers.

"I don't know how I'm going to manage six months without competing. I made it clear to Alaina that I wanted the match to happen soon..." she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.

"I haven't really gotten my career off thr ground the way I would have liked. I want to go in the ring and start a winning streak every day so I understand a little." Svetlana said. "But with an injury? Listen to doctors. They are here to tell you what you need to hear even if you don't want to hear it or like the answer." Svetlana said. "Alaina can wait."

Garlim sighed slightly, relaxing a little as she felt the painkillers take effect. "Even so, I feel like I've failed."

At that moment, Snow entered the room carrying some souvenirs. "Hey Svetlana, I didn't expect to see you here too." Snow set what she was carrying on a table before approaching Svetlana and giving her a warm hug. "I'm sorry I took so long, I honestly didn't think the situation was so serious."

Garlim smiled, pained, but also glad that the girls were keeping her company.

"You really are tough, blonde goddess... But, even so, I'm not going to back down and say you put up a good fight. Because you didn't." Snow sat down next to Svetlana and crossed her arms while glaring at Garlim. "You let Alaina use you like a rag and you reacted too late."

Svetlana was happy to see Snow giving her a hug. "Yeah, I was nearby when I heard so I figured I would stop by and see how things were going." Svetlana said. She sat back and let Snow talk as she knew that Snow had known Garlim far longer than she had.

When Snow did take though? It made Svetlana raise an eyebrow. She got the whole tough love thing but wasn't sure that this was the right time for that. She also knew neither Snow nor herself had the career Garlim did so why would she make a comment like that? It was bewildering to Svetlana who sat back and let the two old friends talk.
