Match Type: Apartment wrestling escape challenge
Victory Conditions: Starboy must recover the key and escape the room before time elapses.
Tris was bored.
Never her favourite thing, especially when – as now – it was because she was being made to wait. Nothing to do, no puzzles to solve, just the tick-tock-tick of the clock and the beat of her own heart to distract her from the anticipation curdling in her chest.
Like a caged panther, she paced the confines of the room she found herself in, stepping around the furniture without really seeing it. As far as she was concerned, she’d seen it all before back in the UK – just another apartment, nicely decorated so far as it went with a bed, a chair and a desk. Tris was planning to get plenty of use out of them all when the time came but, right now, they weren’t exactly doing her much good.
To think, she’d been a little bit thrilled when she’d first heard about this match. Something nice and familiar to dip her toes into as her first LAW bout, a chance to show off in her element before making the leap to the big stage. But no. She’d love to know who it was, but some bright spark in booking had decided that the whole thing was passe and needed spicing up.
Hence the waiting, hence the script she’d been handed on her way in and hence… well.
Her gloved fingers found the cool metal of the necklace chain she wore, traced it down to where it disappeared into the depths of her cleavage.
To be fair, she couldn’t truthfully say she hated everything about the setup.
But really, why’d they need to go and mess with a perfect glorious apartment match? Yeah, yeah, she knew, blah-blah-superhero-stories-sell-blah-blah. Tris rolled her eyes ceilingwards in mock exasperation.
Even if she’d believed in superheroes, this Starboy was hardly a particularly impressive specimen of one from what she’d been told. Tris had been hoping for more of a challenge to solve for her first match but, well, beggars couldn’t be choosers.
Maybe next time around she’d get an opponent she could sink her teeth into.
Meantime, she could have some fun with this ‘Starboy’, demonstrate to him why a true hero would never keep a lady waiting and maybe a good performance would show the losers passing for management hereabouts that this redhead could go places.
Was going to go places, whether they liked it or not.
Three quick raps at the door, the agreed signal that her opponent was on his way.
Her head snapped around at the sound, a predatory gleam alight in her pale blue eyes. The spring back in her step, Scylla bounced over to the bed, taking a seat – leaning back on her arms, one leg crossed over the other and bouncing. Her red hair fallen almost carelessly over one eye, her assorted curves and weapons on full display for the next person entering the room.
Management had asked her for innocent. Tris didn’t do innocent – she had never done well playing the ingenue.
It might not be the in ring debut she’d expected but hey.
She might not have lemons, but she’d be happy to squeeze this Starboy into lemonade instead.

Re: A Lesson in Basic Heroics [Jaystar]
"There's a damsel in distress in apartment 217. Your mission is to save her."
OK.
This was new. Or at least kinda new.
Sure, Starboy had faced already quite some interesting and varying challenges as the Lonely Superhero in LAW. He wasn't a stranger to taking up missions into new and unknown locations, with mystery surrounding the events to take place ahead. But simply being given a mission to raid an apartment, supposedly to save some "damsel in distress"? That was new.
Of course, it was an honor too! Starboy prided himself for being a brave superhero, someone who wouldn't turn down any mission or challenge... And even if that principle perhaps made him look foolishly brave too at times, for some reason, this one did not feel like one of those times.
Why? Because apartment 217 was a completely normal apartment at the LAW campus. And even if the hero had no idea who resided in or otherwise occupied it, it must had been nothing too dangerous. Sure, he had no clue over the nature of the distress, or even the damsel herself... But that fact only felt like intriguing rather than precarious. For now, at least.
Some more clues could have helped though. Did he need any equipment? What exactly did he have to do? Was this an official match? If so, what were the rules?
All of those questions might had been left unraised inside his head, had Star not faced some difficulty with locating exactly apartment 217. Now it took a bit too long for him to find the entrance - a fact that also caused him to feel rather cold, considering that he had embarked on this mission now without any equipment, and in his rather skimpy hero attire in the middle of winter.
Finally, the hero had found the door. And he raised his fist to-... Oh, of course not. He couldn't just knock. If there was a "damsel in distress" behind this door, that would surely be the least effective, and by far the most cowardly way of trying to get in. Perhaps he should just try the handle, and see if the door would open?
Oh, that worked!
Starboy took a quick peek inside, and in the absence of any imminent threats, instantly took a step inside while closing the door behind him. At least it was actually warm in this apartment, unlike in the drafty corridors of the building.
And apparently, there was indeed a damsel in this room too. That was immediately clear once the hero got a good look ahead towards the bed. He also quickly identified that this was a damsel that he wouldn't mind getting closer to. Whatever she needed saving from, he was certainly ready and willing.
The only problem was, that the distress seemed to be missing. But probably, there was only one way to find out more about the nature of it.
Starboy began approaching the rather voluptuous redhead sitting on the bed. Rather slowly and carefully, observing his surroundings for any potential suprise attack incoming... But nothing seemed to happen. Settling a few feet away from the damsel, Star tried to focus less on her enchanting appearance, and more on the task at hand. What exactly was going on in this apartment?
"Good evening, miss. I've been informed, that there is a damsel in distress here."
Simple, and hopefully, effective opening?
OK.

Re: A Lesson in Basic Heroics [Jaystar]
Tris wasn’t kept waiting long before she caught the door handle begin to move. Tentatively at first, like the person outside wasn’t sure if it’d work, then with increasing confidence as it turned.
The door opened a crack. Pause. Then the rest of the way, letting her ‘rescuer’ all the way in. Considerately, he even shut it behind him but all Tris’ attention was on her first in person sight of Starboy.
Her first thought – cute. Not like ‘hot’ cute, like small cuddly animal cute. There were guys who could wear a speedo and look tough (or hot). Starboy wasn’t one of them. He was just trying to look tough and failing. Colour Tris unimpressed.
Huh. Tris was pretty certain that was the first time she’d ever been called a damsel. Thanks, she hated it. Especially coming from some scrawny wannabe hero who she could break into without breaking a sweat along the way.
But he wasn’t entirely wrong, with a suitably… loose definition of distress. Even if it was a definition she doubted any dictionary would accept, Starboy was indeed saving her from a bad case of boredom.
Just not quite in the way he imagined.
Close enough, close enough.
Tris rose slowly from the bed, hands slowly smoothing down the fabric of her half-skirt in a gesture that was entirely calculated to draw Starboy’s eyes to her wide, shapely hips and thick thighs.
Then she took a step forward, then another, hands open at her sides as she approached her rescuer like she might a frightened animal until she was close enough to reach out, entwine her arms around his neck in a loose embrace.
“My hero,” she whispered, placing the heaviest, most possessive emphasis on ‘my’. Surprising, perhaps, though Starboy wouldn’t have long to dwell on it before Tris closed the distance between them entirely to press her darkly painted lips against his.
The kiss was equal parts dangerous skill and demanding aggression, all the while insistently crushing her large, barely covered breasts against his bare chest.
Aside from anything else, this was giving her a nice chance to properly acquaint herself with his physique. Sure, he was slim and he was verging on the scrawny but there was some nice tone there. She wasn’t going to get a good fight out of him, she’d already resigned herself to that, but she’d at least been handed a fun toy to play with.
Behind Starboy’s back, there was a quiet ‘snikt’ as the lock engaged.
