The Sales Pitch

Unread post by Highfly »

Benny sat back in his office wearing a dark blue suit with a white dress shirt, dark brown dress shoes and a dark blue tie. He was dressed professionally as he was about to make a sales pitch to offer his service to a woman whom he thought could rise from her lower end mid-card status.

(His emailed sales pitch can be found here https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/ ... sp=sharing)

He heard back from Sakura and she was on her way to meet with him at the LAW Offices. He had one successful client in Gemma Faraday, and he saw much the same potential in Sakura. She was not the biggest woman but she packed a punch and he really thought that with the right help she could realize her potential helping herself rise while LAW would also benefit. In all honesty Benny was more concerned with Sakura making something of herself moreso than company gain although if LAW succeeded womens wrestling in general succeeded, along with it the wrestlers themselves. Still, he couldn't help but have a soft spot for Sakura. He saw the drive. He saw the work. The determination. Also... admittedly... he may have had the tiniest of crushes on the singer turned wrestler. He really hoped she would be willing to work with him and allow him to help her with fan events, match booking, finding training resources... the works.

Now the young low-level executive and Talent Enhancement Agent sat back trying not to look as nervous, intimidated or fan-boy as he felt inside.

Sakura took a breath out as she straightened out as she looked into a window to tuck a lock hair over her ear. It wasn't long after her first win in months over Hikaru Sawazaki and she had received an email from a talent rep of LAW with an interesting proposal. As such she came in wearing a red button up shirt with a black pencil skirt, matching black leggings and red heels. Looking up as she approached the door Sakura would take a breath and knock on it. Admittedly she was a bit nervous, you never knew when someone behind the scenes could try and take advantage of things, so she was a bit on edge, but open minded for what he'd have to say as she waited for him to let her in.

Benny heard the knock at the door and jumped up running to the door. He opened it up and saw Sakura who looked amazing as he expected. "Hey there Sakura! I'm Benny Burks. I really appreciate you coming to meet with me." Benny said extending his hand to her. "Come on in and take a seat!" He said stepping side to allow Sakura to walk in as he opened the door all the way. He made sure to leave the door open as he walked to his side of the desk.

Benny took a deep breath and smiled. "I am going to just be straight to the point. I have seen you in the ring and think that you really bring a lot to wrestling. I mean the crowd loves you. Your popularity as a singer following you to wrestling is evident. I also see that you really put in the work to wrestling. You have a charisma, drive and determination as well as a do-it-all skill set that I would love to help you elevate. If you are inclined I would love to help you enhance your career in any way I can." Benny said getting the main part of what he hoped to do for Sakura out there. "I know it is a lot to consider and if you have any questions about anything at all please ask away." Benny said sitting at his desk clearly interested to hear what Sakura had to say.

Being let in Sakura would smile softly at him and thank the man as she was let in and promptly took a seat. Looking to him as he also did the same and made his case for her making her nod softly in response. "I see.. Well it's a lovely offer but I am curious, what do you benefit from with this? You seemed very eager in your email and now. So do you have something to gain by helping me?" Sakura asked somewhat suspiciously, just trying to figure out if there was something that she should keep an eye out on with him.

"Well, if the women of LAW succeed then LAW itself succeeds and continues to grow." Benny said. "I mean that is the official answer anyway. Honestly? You have the potential for outreach and the ability to expand the popularity of womens wrestling in a way similar to women like Jem Holland and "Amazon" Alaina Sanders-Haines whose work outside the ring has brought fans into wrestling. I feel like you have potential and watching mid-size women just slam others around to me is a great symbol of strong being the new sexy. It sends a cool message ya know?" Benny said. "I know you have had a rocky start in wrestling but you never quit. You doubled down and kept at it, and your last outing you destroyed Hikaru Sawazaki whose record may not be great but she is no pushover as she has won 11 matches." Benny added. "You deserve to do well and I just want to help you do that. I can try to point ya to training resources tailored to your in-ring goals and I can help organize fan oriented events. Autograph signings, photoshoots, interviews, more competitive booking, anything that helps ya according to what you want to do for yourself."

Asking her question to Benny as to why he was doing this Sakura would then lean back and hear what he had to say, nodding along at it all as he did so. A majority of what he said made sense, and he was right that her success would be LAW's success which was good, and the comparison of her to people like Jem and Alaina was quite the high praise.

"I see... well I do usually need help organizing fan stuff, my old managers used to do that and its been difficult on my own, likewise having some guidance for where to go for training and someone to filter my matches especially would be nice. So maybe we try this for a month or so and see how things go if that would be possible? Just cause I'm a little unsure. But it does sound tempting." Sakura said softly, nodding to Benny after and waiting for him to response.

Benny smiled and nodded, looking quite excited! He didn't even try to hide the enthusiasm as he nodded. "I won't let you down, I promise. Now tell me what you are looking for and I can have a thing you need set up before you leave this office today. Matches. Autograph signings. Self-promotional events like phitonshoots. Interviews. You name it I will make it reality." Benny said already on his laptop ready to arrange whatever it was that Sakura was looking for.

Benny if nothing else had connections and was a hustler. When it came to making things happen for the wrestlers he represented he did not hold back, his all-in attitude on his sleeve for all to see.
