That fateful day...

Unread post by Deskfan45 »

The young woman was curled up in a ball on the floor, leaning against her bathroom wall as she sat and stared in horror at a pregnancy test that displayed a black plus sign. She'd been so stupid, so reckless, and now she was gonna pay for it. "FUCK!" She screamed, throwing the pregnancy test against the wall as hard as she could, before curling up tighter and sobbing into her sleeve. She was 18 years old, living alone in a shitty apartment, working at a fast food restraunt for not much more then minimum wage. There was no way she could support a child. After this baby was born, she would have to give it up to foster care, she figured.

But the woman thought about her own life. She'd been abandoned by her parents and had grown up in a cold, loveless orphanage. Her whole life, she'd fended for herself, she'd been alone. She'd lived the life of an orphan, and she could never allow her own child to have to live that life. And so she made a decision. Even if they were poor, even if they had very little, the woman and her baby would always have each other. Drying her tears, the woman stepped outside, sitting down in her lawn chair and looking up.

She'd always loved that beautiful blue sky...
