The way LAW tended to handle apartment matches was a little different from what Mina was used to. She had come from the grand tradition of apartment wrestling in its peak; the tradition in which her mother had been crowned the sport's first-ever champion when she was in her prime, and the tradition that she had taught Mina on. Although the scene had grown more associated with independent video producers and rented-out rooms covered with mats since those days, there were still those who kept the tradition alive, and Mina was used to competing in lavish penthouses to a crowd of the rich and famous, having the spotlight on her and knowing that some of the most elite men and women in the country had come to see her, giving her a direct line to their circle and their influence - and often with the direct oversight of her mother. By contrast, LAW's apartment matches were a less personal affair, often relying on hidden cameras to record the action and leaving the wrestlers to take care of things on their own. But Mina didn't care. While her mother had been driven by the attention and adoration heaped on her by virtue of her lofty status, Mina was just here to wreak havoc. She didn't care where she did it, or who she was up against. Dominating her opponents was all she needed to feel on top of the world.
And for that matter, the privacy of having the entire room to herself had its benefits.
When Nashi entered the apartment, she would find it prepared for their bout - the furniture moved aside to clear the way for the blue mats that had been spread over the floor. It was quiet. It seemed she'd arrived before her opponent had. Perhaps that would give her more of a chance to prepare, and to psyche herself up from the bout ahead of her...but if she thought that, she was wrong.
Just then, as Nashi settled into place, a door behind her swung open - and in a flash, Mina came charging out, already prepared for battle! She wasn't going to meet Nashi face to face or exchange any pleasantries. Nashi, as far as she saw it, had walked into her trap. She wouldn't give the pink-haired girl any time to get ready before she had closed in to tackle her from behind, attempting to spear her to the floor!
Shortly thereafter, the front door would swing open, and with a smirk on her face, in would stride that same former champion herself - Cynara Morgan, Mina's mother and current manager. Around her shoulder, she carried her daughter's AHW United States Championship. And when she looked down at Nashi, her grin would grow even wider.
"My. This is already going swimmingly...~"
