Re: I Know What You Did Last Spring
The sound wasn’t the only clue that Halloween was drawing near - there was the rot, too, hanging thick in the air. She smelled of a predator, of blood and bile, and that scent invaded Mama Bear’s nostrils as she stalked closer and closer. Only a few feet away now, moving as if the darkness was no obstacle…
But her prey wasn’t as helpless as she seemed. Halloween pounced with open arms, soaring towards her foe, and that was the moment that Mama Bear chose to strike. The cross swung through the air and found Halloween’s cheek, though the reaction might not have been quite what she was expecting.
Sparks. The blow glanced off her chin, and where it made contact fire flew. For a brief, horrifying moment, the basement lit up in a blinding flash, revealing Halloween - her molted flesh, her sharpened fangs, her hollow eyes. The shriek that came from her throat had no business coming from the throat of a human, like a thousand nameless beasts howling all at once.
She fell into the water, hissing and screaming, and crawled away from Mama Bear on her hands and knees, sloppily sloshing through the water as she went.

Re: I Know What You Did Last Spring
Standing in the flooded basement, boots full of water and her body shaking from the cold, Mama Bear was acutely aware of the sounds all around her, splashing in the water that she stood in and the foundation of the house itself threatening to give way under the storm. But the most important sound, the gentle hiss of breath coming from directly behind her, was the one that was most important, and the one that would cause her to act, as she turned around and swung her fist with all her might! And to her surprise, that single bit of contact would suddenly light up the room, the ghoulish visage of Halloween knocked away as Mama Bear clobbered her with all the force that she could muster.
Only, it didn't seem to be her fist that was actually making the difference. Literal sparks flew upon contact, and the smaller woman screeched as the cross made contact, causing Mama Bear to pause ever so slightly as the zombified wrestler landed hard in the water. But as she began to splash away, the instinct to fight kicked in once more, and Mama Bear suddenly threw herself at the retreating figure!
"Oh, you don't like that?!" The masked woman soared towards the escaping creature, landing hard atop her and forcing her down, and as she did so, the heavyweight would take her hand, still clutching the cross tightly, and plant it directly on Halloween's back, looking to light up the room once more. She'd wrestle with the retreating figure in an attempt to pin her down on the watery floor, holding the wooden cross to her all the while, more than willing to play this game if Halloween wanted to treat the crucifix as a weakness, in true horror movie fashion!

Re: I Know What You Did Last Spring
There was fear in the shrieks of the thing that had once called itself Halloween, as it made a hasty retreat from Mama Bear. Not the sort of fear that one would expect, however. Not the sort from a wrestler about to lost a match, or a tiny woman evading her monstrous aggressor. No, these were animalistic and feral, the sounds of a beast that had stalked the earth for ages and was in dire straits, desperate to scratch out even one more moment on the mortal plane.
Mama Bear had other ideas. Before she could get away, the bruiser pounced, pressing her down into the dank water and pinning her beneath her bulk. The cross came down and lit up her back, casting the room in a garish glow as the waters sloshed and churned all around them.
The effect was immediate and visceral, as Halloween thrashed beneath her with a strength that should’ve been impossible for her tiny form, threatening to throw her off, while her cries and wails devolved into an unintelligible mess of gibberish. Re: I Know What You Did Last Spring
Able to only trust that she had jumped in the direction that she last saw Halloween scamper off in, Mama Bear's intuition would successfully lead her to land directly atop the smaller woman, the two crashing down onto the flooded floor. The cross once more came into contact with Halloween, and the sparks lit up just enough to see the decaying figure writhing and thrashing, Mama Bear holding on tight in spite of the horrifically strong struggles that she was subjected to, as she continued her assault. Halloween screamed and howled, and then began to cry out, words that didn't sound quite right, unintelligible and ear-splitting, Mama Bear wincing at the volume. But she had the smaller figure now, and she would be damned if Halloween got away... again.
"Sit... still!" Mama Bear hissed through gritted teeth, eyes closed to avoid the dirty water splashing and blinding her, and as she attempted to lock down Halloween's legs with her own, the heavyweight finally managed to get a stronger grip, one that would allow her to reposition.
"Here... enjoy this!" With that one, final declaration, Mama Bear would remove the cross from Halloween's back, letting the smaller woman have a brief respite, before Mama Bear suddenly swung her arm around the figure beneath her. She would now bring the cross directly in front of Halloween's face, mashing it up right against her cheek as she looked to really put the screws to her! However the hell Halloween was pulling all these tricks, they'd be her own downfall now!

Re: I Know What You Did Last Spring
Whatever arcane well that Halloween was drawing her strength from, it would seem that it had limits, and she was not finding herself dangerously close to exceeding them. Size was no small thing to overcome, and her foe had it in abundance, letting her hurl the smaller woman around with ease, outfighting her, putting down all attempts to resist. Her bizarre words grew even more garbled as Mama Bear spun her about, and then came the cross.
The chest buried itself in Halloween’s flesh and glowed, spewing forth a blinding, holy light that lit the room, illuminating it like a second sun amidst the darkness. Her body began to buck about, writhing and squirming, as a dark mist erupted from her mouth. At first it seemed like smoke and ash, but it moved like neither, twisting about in the air as if some foul, weightless serpent, rising higher, lashing out this way and that.
The earth began to rattle like an earthquake as the smog touched the ceiling and dispersed, and guttural noises came from Halloween through - not her mouth, but from within her gullet, as if some creature was living in the depths of her body and was cursing at Mama Bear as expunged it. The young wrestler’s body seized up for a moment, all of her muscles growing taut, her body rigid and unyielding, and then…
Nothing. Halloween flopped back into the water, the light faded, and the room grew deathly still, as the darkness reclaimed it once again. All was still and silent, save for the gentle rumble of the storm outside, which seemed to be abating.
That peace was interrupted a moment later, as Halloween cough and thrashed beneath Mama Bear, desperately trying to get her head out of the water. ”Whatthefuckwhatthefuck! Where am I what’s going on oh fuck why am I cold and wet and fuck! What the fuck?!”

Re: I Know What You Did Last Spring
The writhing, the screeching, the terrible odor and the wretched aura that emanated from Halloween, all of them seemed to be urging Mama Bear to stop in their own way, growing stronger and more menacing the longer that the heavyweight fought with her. It all culminated in a sudden shift as Halloween's body flexed, seizing in such a powerful way that she nearly flung the masked wrestler off, before suddenly, all light would begin to disappear, and the woman beneath her relaxed, going nearly limp. At least, for a moment. After a second, the smaller wrestler underneath her stirred once again, beginning to thrash and flail as she sputtered back to life, thrashing about as she questioned where she was.
"Very fucking funny... you think you can play dumb with me?!" Mama Bear hissed, suddenly picking herself up off of the smaller woman and snatching her by the collar, hauling her up as well. The masked woman would take a few ginger steps backwards, and while still holding Halloween, reached out in the dark, feeling around on the wall near the stairs until she finally found the lightswitch, flicking it up and down a few times.
Sure enough, the movie magic had dissipated with the light, and after a few attempts, the lights would suddenly turn back on, a low buzz of electricity being heard as Mama Bear blinked a few times to adjust.
"Now you... where the hell did your makeup go?" Mama Bear was stopped in the midst of her statement, left wondering what had happened to Halloween, as the light allowed her a fresh look at the smaller woman. Namely, the fact that she was back to looking completely normal, not a single sign of the decaying skin or the awful odor that had come from her seemingly-rotting body.

Re: I Know What You Did Last Spring
Halloween was still cough and wheezing away, her voice devolving into a bunch of confused babble as Mama Bear dragged her through the muck and the darkness. But as frantic as she was, there was none of the insanity before, none of the manic rambling or archaic language. She just sounded like a confused, panicked, and extremely irritated little Mexican woman.
When the lights turned on, that was all that Mama Bear would find in her hands. Halloween was drenched, but her outfit was normal, her skin was the same tanned hue it usually was, and while there was makeup running down her face, it was of the decidedly normal variety you would expect for a pro-wrestler with a Halloween-theme.
Halloween blinked a few times as the lights came on, needing a moment to adjust, but when she did those eyes grew wide with shock. ”You? You!” She shook her head and nearly smacked Mama Bear in the face with her wet pigtails. ”What the actual shit is this? Put me down, put me down!” Halloween continued to struggle in Mama Bear’s grasp, visibly confused by the whole situation.

Re: I Know What You Did Last Spring
With the lights returning to the basement, much more of the surroundings became clear. The decrepit beams that held up the ceiling, the water that rocked and swayed following all the movement that it had just seen take place within it, and the decaying furniture that was settled here and there, the water eating away at it. But, Mama Bear wasn't worried about that. Instead, her eyes were firmly fixed on the woman in her grasp, the one that she had dragged over to the light switch with her, and the one who was now frantically squirming and thrashing, trying her best to get out of the heavyweight's grasp. And given how the events of the night had progressed, that was the last thing that Mama Bear was going to happen!
"Yeah, me! The one you invited here for this fucked up little show! Now spill it!" Mama Bear relinquished her grip on Halloween's collar and instead grabbed her face in both hands, squishing it with her palms as if she were handling a child.
"Where did your makeup go?! And how the hell were you climbing on the ceiling?! Where's the zombie teeth and shit?! What else you got hiding?!" The heavyweight growled, several questions all tumbling out in quick succession, as she mushed Halloween's face this way and that, turning her and carefully inspecting her, as if waiting to find some hidden imperfection that would answer all of her questions!

Re: I Know What You Did Last Spring
Halloween shivered and shudder, her body suffering from the cold waters. She could scarcely even get a full sentence out through her chattering teeth. ”S-show? What show, w-what’re you…hey, hey, stop!”
Halloween had been looking at Mama Bear with a befuddled glare, not putting any of these pieces together, when the woman seized her face and lifted it along with the rest of her squirming body, as if to get a better look. Needless to say, this did not make her any less freaked.
”Makeup? Teeth? Climbing on the ceiling?” The way Halloween was looking at her, all of this wouldn’t have made any less sense to her if she’d been speaking Greek. ”What the actual hell are you talking about, lady? Put me down, and make sense for, like, two seconds!”

Re: I Know What You Did Last Spring
Halloween looked truly befuddled. Mama Bear had seen plenty of good actors in the day, and she had seen plenty of bad actors, in both senses. Halloween, for the most part, qualified as a good actor, trying her very best to play off her theft when the two had first met, and in spite of that, Mama Bear had seen right through her, well aware of her foes deception. It was for that very reason that right here, right now, at this moment, looking into Halloween’s eyes, she felt like she had come to an odd, and chilling conclusion.
She didn’t think Halloween was lying.
“What the…” Mama Bear trailed off, slowly lowering Halloween back down, casting her eyes left and right, before looking up at the ceiling above. And then, ever so slightly, she heard it. The faint putter patter of movement, coming from up in the attic. Which meant only one thing.
“Fuck this. Fuck this fuck this fuck this nope nope nope.” All at once, Mama Bear spun on a dime, trudged her way over to the stairs and straight up them, before stepping over to the door, booting it open, and breathing a sigh of relief when it actually did swing open to reveal the outside world, wet and dreary, but much more appealing that one more second in this hellhole. With not one single glance behind her, Mama Bear would trudge into the wilderness, leaving both the cabin, Halloween, and hopefully the events of the night, well behind her!
Winner via Knockout: Mama Bear!
