Erin's Sports Session: Beach Volleyball

When Erin dashed forwards to make the save Kat turned her head to see the ball gently falling as opposed to being spiked down into the sand. Seeing Noelle on her way down from her jump clued Hart in as to what had happened. Thankfully, Erin seemed to react with urgency and speed their team needed! The adorable Irish beauty rushed and dived forwards hitting the ball upwards. The ball would be knocked up a sizable distance, but not high enough above the net that spiking the ball down to the other side would be feasible. With little time to react, Katherine leaped up to slap the volley ball hard. The sound of the return Kat's return shot could be heard from the other side of the court. She reacted out of instinct, knocking the ball up and over the net, past the back of Noelle and Alana's side of the court.

Katherine landed only to see the ball heading for no man's land. She'd frown and start to duck under the net, reaching the other side when the ball hit the sand. "My bad, guys. It's, uh, been a while." She said with a chuckle.

Alana would watch as the blond who's name was Katherine or so the New Zealander thought it was as the American was able to leap up to hit the volley ball. Trying to act in time the only thing the surfer could do was watch as the ball went over the net , and luckily for the team of Alana and Noelle landed in the sand outside of the court.

''It was an good attempt in my opinion Katherine''replied the New Zealander as she hoped she had remembered the other person's name correctly as she would turn around.After she did that she would walk towards the ball as she would quickly run back after she had retrieved the ball. When she reached her partner she would whisper ''do you want to serve or should I Noelle''as she would give her partner a moment to make it clear if she wanted to serve or not..

Kat bore a grumpy look on her face as she went to the other side of the court to go get the ball. But the grumpy expression would soon change to a smile when Alana voiced approval about her effort. Kat nodded to the blonde and before seeing her leave to go get the ball. She'd go back to her side of the court and apologize to her friend, Erin.

"Uhhh, my bad." Kat said before chuckling a bit.

After the tap that set up for her partner to take advantage of, Noelle simple stood on the court as she watched their opponents scrambling to retaliate as she watched Katherine smash the ball, sending it flying over the net in such fashion and speed Noelle didn't bother trying to block the powerful ball as it went sailing over to outside of the court. She let out a small smirk as she gestured to Alana, telling her partner that she could serve the ball back.

Since Alana was going to serve, Noelle took her place near the front of the corner, covering the front left quarter of the court, ready to block and defend the returning ball when it was served!

Alaina would throw the ball into the air before going for the underhanded serve as she would watch as the ball would sail over the net. While the ball was in motion the blond woman would take a few steps towards the back right quarter of the court as she watched as Noelle got the other side covered as she waited for the moment the ball would go their way.

Erin lifted her head from the sand and looked up at Kat. "Pfffft" She said, spitting some sand out. "I ain't face planting again if you're just gonna hit the ball out." Erin commented, a bit disappointed her dedication to keeping the play alive provided no result. There was still plenty of time left to change that though and the redhead didn't intend to let Noelle and Alana stay ahead of her and Kat. While she had invited them all for a friendly game, she was still supposed to be the one winning.

Erin scrambled to her feet and got into position, a smile quickly returning to her face as she bent her knees slightly and waited for the serve. Seeing the ball fly over the net, Erin got under it and raised her hands. She tapped the ball forward, setting it for her teammate. "All yours Kat!" She called out, hoping the blonde would take her cue. She started to wonder though if Kat was anywhere near as good at volleyball as she had to be at wrestling.

(for the sake of playing volleyball, maybe we should try to have the people on the same team post after each other where appropriate so that there aren't too many posts of "looks at the ball in the air, waits for it."?)

Kat had ducked under the net again to return to her team's side of the court. She felt bad to see Erin spit sand out of her mouth and accepted being admonished while resolving to make it up to her gal pal by turning things around.

"Aw, I'm sorry, Erin! It's just been a while is all. I promise it won't happen again. We've got this!"

Kat got in position near the front of the court. She patted her face and steeled herself to do better this time around. Oddly enough, she had to tell herself that unlike in wrestling, hitting really hard doesn't really get the job done. Not in volleyball, at least. When Alana served the ball, Kat took notice of Erin moving forward to set it. The buxom blonde got in position near the net and nodded in response to Erin's cue.

"Got it!" Hart called out as she jumped into the air. She'd follow up by smashing the ball once more, this time actually aiming it for the back of the opposing team's court! The ball would fly with the same speed and force as it did the last time Katherine hit it, but this time it would fly directly towards Alana!

Alana would watch as she ball gets hit by the blond , and send flying towards her as she brought her arms in position.Seeing Noella near the net she would let the ball land on her two fists as she force the ball to fly towards the net where her partner was. ''Hit the ball as hard as you can Noella ,and slam it straight down our opponent's field''yelled the blond as she hoped her partner would do as she suggest as she doubted their opponent's would be able to stop the ball in that cause.

Noelle was watching the ball as Alana served, looking over her shoulder as she saw her partner smack it hard across the field. Her eyes locked on the ball as Kat bashed it right back in power fashion. Noelle was worried it was going to smack right back down into their court, but Alana was on top of it, defending the ball and launching it into the air.

Set up for a spike, Noelle would leap up into the air as her lips curled into a smirk. Usually she wasn't one to go all out so early, but she was going to make an exception for this as she swung her hand down as hard as she could, looking for a quick and powerful spike!

This time Erin was ready. She wasn't about to let Noelle make a fool of her twice. The redhead prepared for another light tap. It seemed however that Noelle was smart enough not to go for the same move twice. Instead Erin found the ball spiked powerfully towards her. She was honestly a bit surprised that Noelle had that kind of power in her. Nevertheless Erin instinctively raised her arms to her face to stop the ball from bashing her nose.

As the ball hit Erin the shock of the sudden spike, combined with the force of the hit, sent her stumbling two steps back until she fell into the sand on her rump. The woman grunted as she hit the sand. Erin wasn't without luck though. While it was far from a perfect set, the redhead had sent the ball into the air. It may have been about ten feet higher than she meant to, but a set was a set in her eyes. Now it was Kat's turn to deal with the mess.
