Fish Out of Water! - Anzu Mazaki & Blaise Cameron

"It's definitely fun to get noticed, though," confesses Blaise. He's not conceited, but he does make efforts to look his best - especially when he knows he's going to be wearing next to nothing. Such as in wrestling, or on the beach!

When she gives her real name, it's received with a smile. "Blaise. Blaise Cameron," he introduces. "Pleased to meet'cha!" He's having fun now with this little back and forth, and she looked like she had more on her mind. So he holds his tongue at the moment, hands propping to his hips.

Anzu would smile at Blaise and would ask him. "Well Blaise, it's nice to meet. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of wrestling do you do? Academic? Pro? or do you incorporate dance into your wrestling to keep you in good shape?" Anzu was asking all these questions because judging by Blaise's looks he seemed like he's won more than a couple of matches which is more than Anzu could say, with not a single victory on her record to speak of.

"Academic?," asks a puzzled Blaise. The mental tangent that leads him on is equal parts baffling and magical. Solve for x or get the People's Elbow. He'd pay to see that. He'd pay to see that every day. But he wouldn't be able to do it. He was never a strong academic. He floated comfortably in that C-B grade range. Unless he'd be the one delivering the elbowdrops. That could be cool. Wait, would it be kids doing it? He wouldn't feel right doing it to kids. Why would it be kids? Would it be like that Smarter Than a 5th Grader show? Maybe they'd use a stand-in to take the damage. Actually, that would be hilarious. Elbowdropping Jeff Foxworthy would be hilarious, too.

Wait, what were they talking about?

Bright blue eyes snap back to the girl. She meant collegiate wrestling, he realizes all of a sudden. He's disappointed by that.

"I do, kind'a?," he says with a perky smile. "Incorporate, I mean. And it's pro. I'm with a fed' in Tokyo. It's okay that you've not heard of me or anything - I'm not making the headlines just yet. Just gotta give that a little time."

Anzu thought Blaise was taking a bit long to answer her question. He seemed like he was staring off into space, but it was better than him being a perv and staring at her boobs. Anzu would finally get an answer, and would smile as she heard his story. "That sounds great. I hope your future is bright." Anzu said before she'd sip her iced tea. Then she had an idea. "Say, Blaise care to wrestle with me for a bit?
No pinfalls, no submissions, just until we're both tired. What do you say?" Anzu asked pretty forward wanting to learn some of his moves, maybe they'll help her get out of her rut.

"Couldn't be brighter," chirps Blaise, smile persistent on his face.

Her offer only manages to brighten it further. "Really? Sounds fun! But, ah.. no pins? No submissions? Why not more like an 'iron man' match? Pins and submissions are fine, they just don't mean the end of things." His eyes flick over her frame. Wrestle a pretty girl in a bikini? Heck yes. That's not even a question. But without pins and submissions, there isn't much chance to practice finishing someone off. And that, according to a certain surly, mountainous trainer, is a big problem of his.

His eyes land on her face again. "No points or anything. Just wrestling."

Anzu thought abut what Blaise said and remembered all the countless times she hadn't been able to finish off an opponent. After thinking it over in her head Anzu eventually nodded in approval said. "Sure, but where on the beach are we gonna wrestling?" Anzu asked not knowing where exactly they could have their fun little wrestling experience in a beach populated with people just enjoying the good weather and company of friends as the sun shines down brightly from the sky.

By now, the volleyball had been retrieved by an annoyed male. The pick-up game will obviously continue without Blaise's enthusiastic contributions. But he offers the group a parting wave before giving Anzu his full attention again.

The question she poses earns a tilt of his head. "Anywhere?," he suggests. He doesn't seem to have the same compunctions about it as her. Or they're simply on different mental wavelengths. "Never wrestled on a beach. If it's the sand that's an issue, I have.. like.. a towel. But it's just a towel. S'not gonna help that much."

Blaise and Anzu thought differently about the prospect of wrestling on a beach. Then Anzu got an idea and would tell Blaise. "Well,
there a place on the beach with pull up bars and some open space. Sure there's no ropes or an official ring but we can improvise." Anzu said wondering he'd be okay with it. In the meantime Anzu would sip the iced tea as she waited for Blaise to respond. Anzu was anticipating this, beause was hoping to learn some moves that could improve her in the ring.

"Sounds fine to me," nods Blaise. Problem solved! He didn't consider it much of a problem to begin with, given the improvisational nature of their upcoming entanglement, but it seems a small accommodation. No big. "Lead the way, Miss!," he chirps, motioning her forward with a hand. He hadn't seen the area she described earlier, so it just seems practical.

"You do this often?," he asks, likely in transit by then. "See in-shape guys and ask'em to wrestle?" A teasing grin finds his face. "Heck of a way to meet someone."

Anzu smiled as she heard Blaise talk to her and would reply by saying. "Well it's not something I do often. LAW management has been getting on my case since I signed up here. I've racked up a couple of loses, and I don't want people to remember me as some kind of jobber you know.
I think sparring with people would be the best way to help me out of my slump. Thanks again for accepting." Anzu said with a smile as they finally reached the area. Anzu would then distance herself from Blaise and would do a few stretches before she'd tell him. "Let me know when you're ready to start."
