Lilly went to answer at first but thought it to be better to show proof of her honesty first, but then made a move to rustle through her bag. After a moment, she pulled out her phone. It had a pink case on it with shiny studs, keeping it one degree away from being actually tacky. She messed with her phone for another moment before turning it and showing it off to Blaise, close enough that he could take it and look through the pictures on the screen if he'd like. The first one was an image of her in pink and black wrestling gear and a white doctor's coat over it, her hair was done up, and she looked rather glamorous. It was clearly a promotional shot of her. "Doctor Fabulous." She stated it rather tentatively, not wanting to seem as though she were bragging or anything.

The psychiatrist and wrestler sighed and played with her hair again as she spoke, still seeming somewhat reserved in what she was saying. "I didn't want to tell you because you were talking about how you wanted to be with a wrestling girl. And I didn't want you to feel more compelled to flirt with me when I didn't have the interest. Perhaps I should have said it earlier, but... I thought it was better to leave that out." The blond woman then pursed her lips and raised her eyebrows, speaking calmly and sincerely. "But that's me. Part psychiatrist, part wrestler. Set to debut in LAW soon."

The phone is produced. It's delightfully tacky in his opinion, which isn't a bad thing. He likes things that are unapologetically personal. But he's carefully quiet on it, waiting for her to show him the imagery. And there it is - her, in wrestling gear and a hat. The name she adds to it is just the cherry on top. He blinks and his lips purse. It's.. so like her phone. And he wants to gush. But he's refusing to do so, because there's still the matter of why she kept it hidden.

Bright blue eyes lift to her face again, still wearing that look. And there it is, the reasoning behind it - god, he wishes he could take back the flirting. And he's glad he withheld the gushing. It would've just fed into the loop even more. "Well. It was your choice." It's all he can really say on it.

Oh, wait, did she say LAW? His eyes sharpen, and he exhales a breezy sigh.

"Well.. if you wrestle guys, you might meet me in the ring, then. That's the federation that just bought my contract a bit ago."

Lilly actually looked pleasantly surprised when Blaise mentioned he worked for the same company. Her face lit up and she let out a satisfied squeal, clasping her hands together with her phone between them. "No way! What are the odds!? I can't believe that! The world is such a surprising place sometimes!"

He demeanor changed to surprise and happiness so wuicjly and she smiled at Blaise once again. "Something tells me you wouldn't really want to face me though. Perhaps I could win by count out if you ran away, not wanting to deal with me again." She rolled her eyes at her own joke, although she did suspect that he would never actually want to face her. After all of this, back and forth and emotions involved, it would be an exercise in frustration. Although perhaps he'd want that opportunity to actually get back at her for how she made him feel. It honestly wouldn't have surprised her at this point.

Blaise watches her excitement and wishes he could partake in it. But having his interest in her so lambasted, and being so uncharitably summarized in short order, has him erring deeply on the side of caution. He can't afford to give her anything more to throw back at him, or to twist into another insult. He doesn't trust her enough to not do that. So his arms fold over his bare chest, lips thinning as he listens to her.

"If they matched us against each other..," Blaise considers, letting his gaze break aside briefly. "..I'd treat you the way I'd treat any other dude in the ring." 'Dude' was a particular word choice he went with. He's not attracted to 'dudes'. "I wanna win. So I'll take on anyone. Doesn't matter." He looks back to her then. "But it's not just about me. It's about the audience. They wanna see a show, and me being lame and staying away isn't cool either. No, I'd take you on. I'd take you on and give you everything I've got."

The psychiatrist laughed at Blaise's response, rolling her eyes upwards, finding the way she referred to her rather amusing. "Really, Blaise? I'm a 'dude'? I might be the least dude-like person you've met in your life." She giggled once more, smiling genuinely again. "Of course I don't expect you to run away... I'm only kidding. You have too much respect for that. I wouldn't want any opponent of mine to run away either! There's hardly any fun in that for anyone," explained Doc Fab, placing her hands on her hips. "Besides, I would have gotten all dressed up for nothing. I don't think I could forgive you for that," she teased him again with a grin, finding much more ease and levity in the conversation now that she wasn't trying to look any deeper into any kind of meaning of everything. This was what a day off was supposed to really feel like for her.

"'Dude', because I'm not hot'n bothered by dudes," Blaise explains with a clinical detachment. No, this doesn't feel like an off-day for him. He's guarded and cautious with her; generally uncomfortable. For sure, he's glad she's having a good time. That goes without saying, and is potentially something of a curse for the young man.

"Yeah, well.. just something to look forward to, I guess," he concludes. His arms wind a little tighter around his own torso. Actually, he's hoping they don't pair them together. He can't imagine anything good would come of it. He doesn't wish her ill, much less to inflict harm on her. He'd fight her, per the sport, but that'd be about it. It'd just be... awkward.

Lilly Becker considered his response for a few moments, narrowing her brow in thought. He hadn't eased up at all despite good-natured joking. She sighed gently to herself, still smiling despite this and shrugged. "Yes, I suppose it would be something to look forward to," she answered, giving just as neutral of a response. She then rose a hand to tap her temple once, as if to make a thought-provoking gesture. "Good luck, Blaise. You deserve your dreams and hopes to become reality." She could have said far more, but the last thing she wanted was for him to become upset again. It's better to just leave it on a positive note.

But perhaps with one more playful remark as she leaned down to pick up her margarita again, sipping it calmly. "And keep your eyes open. And your mind. It's the best way to avoid stumbling into a crappy situation, sometimes quite literally." Lilly then took her sunglasses, flicked them open with a twitch of her wrist, and placed them upon her face once more before taking yet another small sip of her drink.

Blaise can tell she's caught his diminished energy. It's better this way. He doesn't really have anything more to offer her - at least willingly here. He's been rather humiliated, insulted, and demeaned, all with a smile and assurances that it's nothing personal. This has been a complete disaster to him, and the more distance he can put between himself and this memory, the better.

He casts a glance further down the beach, where he was before. Sadly, he knows he'll be walking into such ridicule when he rejoins the game further down the beach. Is it really worth it?

"Yep. I'll.. definitely.. be watching where I'm going from now on."

In fairness, it wouldn't have changed anything; Lilly's attractive. He would've stopped to make conversation anyway. But perhaps he at least wouldn't be approaching from a position of weakness or apology.

His arms uncross and he raises a hand to her in departure. "Good luck to you, too. Later." And for a second time, he moves to depart her and the lawn chair that caused it all.
