The Frenchwoman looked around her living room. It was the only notable place in her apartment. There was a wide variety of Star Wars merchandise here and there, which in turn was something like Charlotte's secret passion. Well, not only Star Wars, in fact there was merchandise from other franchises too. She loved spending time in her living room, it helped her relax and soak up positive energy. But today, sitting here, she was visibly nervous.
The reason for this was that not so long ago, at LAW main gym, she met a man who caught her attention. Showing an extremely unusual initiative, the pink-haired woman suggested that he hang out with her sometime to get to know each other better. And, as it is not difficult to guess, today is the very day when Ryu is supposed to pay her a visit. To have some coffee, so to speak...
“It's so hot...”
Charlotte reached for the AC remote controller and lowered the temperature by another degree. It really was an incredibly hot summer day, and if she hadn't had an AC, her apartment would probably have turned into a sauna. Even though the pink-haired woman was wearing only underwear, a tank top and short shorts, it barely saved her from the heat. So the AC became a real salvation for her.
Getting up from the sofa, the Frenchwoman went to the kitchen. The wait was too exhausting, and in order to calm her nerves a little, she decided to check again if she had bought everything for the upcoming pastime. Opening the fridge, the Frenchwoman ran her eyes over the shelves.
Drinks... of all kinds, from soda and juice to beer and whiskey. Not bad. Snacks... of all kinds, from cheese and jamon to fruits and berries. Okay, at least they won't have to waste time going to the store, Charlotte bought so many groceries that it would be enough for two for a week.
Realizing how nervous she was, she took a deep breath again and mentally ordered herself to calm down. In fact, the Frenchwoman was well aware that she had no reason to worry about Ryu's upcoming visit. They're sure to have a good time.
It's just... after a string of failures in her career, she spent too much time alone. In a way, it was a miracle that she hadn't completely gone wild during that time. Besides, guests were a rare occurrence in her apartment. Those who have been here could be counted on the fingers of one hand.
At one point Charlotte even wondered if it was a mistake to invite a man she almost didn't know to her place. Perhaps many people would really call it reckless. But Charlotte herself eventually firmly decided that she had done everything right. Ryu was very courteous at their first meeting and it bribed the Frenchwoman. Besides... she really should spend some time in a relaxed environment. After everything she's been through in recent months, she deserves to relax a little.
Returning to the living room and sitting on the sofa, she picked up her phone. She managed to calm down more or less, and so she decided to scroll through the news feed. If Ryu was not only courteous but also punctual, then he still had two minutes left to arrive at the time they had chosen.
