Family Reunions, Marital Meetings, and Throwing Down

Noelle couldn't help but pull out her phone at whatever reference Marisol just made. Despite having lived in Japan for awhile now, she'd never gotten especially into anime. "What's Majin Bu- uphhhh!" Noelle started to ask before having to suppress gut busting laughter at finding a search result for what Marisol had said. "Okay, fair enough, haha. Can't blame you for laying off that one," Noelle said. "I might have to watch this show. What's it called? Dragon Ball? Yeah I've heard of that. It's the Goku one, right?"

"That's a bold faced lie, Marisol!" Noelle snapped as the conversation was suddenly turned on her. "Just because I pointed out how much of the team was basically our age doesn't mean I wanted them!" Noelle blew out an irritated puff of air before continuing. "Good thing they're so young. Looks like they'll need another 4 or 8 years to get the job done," she said, completely unaware that Spain had beaten Argentina 1-0 in the final since the last post. But the silver haired princess smiled again at the next thing her cousin said, "Of course Izuku's a keeper. That's why I'm marrying him."

Deku had been stifling his laughter the moment that Marisol had made her comparison since he had been a lifelong fan of various anime especially dragon ball z and was well aware of the meme comparing the Norwegian soccer star to the villain. Though as Noelle spoke he couldn't help but cringe slightly at how ignorant his fiance was on anime. "Uh... well technically it's Dragon Ball Z sweetie and well... you know if you're serious about checking it out I'll show you later hehe." Deku said knowing this was a bit of a easier response than trying to explain anything in depth.

Marisol meanwhile just giggled softly as she got to see the happy couple interact, as well at Noelle's indignant reaction to the second part of what she said. Still it looped back around to being sweet when Noelle spoke so proudly of Deku. Who for his part would smile at his soon to be wife while reaching over and grasping her hand softly. An action that would not be missed by Marisol who practically squealed in delight.

"Oh my goodness you two are so cute!" Causing Deku to smile proudly before Marisol then got a more devious smirk on her face. "So I hear things are dead even between you two in terms of a competition aspect yeah?" Marisol asked looking between the two which drew a bashful chuckle from Deku who nodded softly. "Yeah it took a lot for me to finally be able to beat her." He said while looking at Noelle with admiration in his eyes. Marisol meanwhile would clap happily.

"Aw that's so sweet. It's nice to know that Noelle knows what its liked to be chased for a win instead of the other way around. What was our record again Noelle? 20-0 or more I can't recall." Marisol asked in an innocently curious tone which, while true was no less of a dig directed at Noelle even if there wasn't a hint of malice in Marisol's voice.

Noelle smiled when Marisol brought up her matches with Izuku. "That's right," she said. "Drew the first one, then split the last two." Noelle could bring up how she had been on less than her best in both the matches she hadn't won. She started poorly in their draw from struggling to get her mind focused, and then she went into their third match seeing it as little other than any other match, while Deku had convinced himself that he couldn't marry her if he didn't win. but she was plenty secure enough in her wrestling ability to not feel the need.

But that didn't mean Noelle couldn't at least have some fun with her fiancé about it. "Did you know that Izuku was going to propose to me on the anniversary date we had before the third match?" she said. "But then he convinced himself that he wasn't worthy to marry me unless he could be me in the ring. Of course I didn't find out about that until after. As if I wouldn't have said yes if he had gotten on a knee then and there. Can't blame a girl for losing when her opponent is fighting like his love is on the line, can you, Marisol?"

And then Marisol brought up their wrestling history, and suddenly Noelle wasn't so secure in her ability. "Oh don't try to act like I've never beaten you!" she yelled as she stood, hands braced on the table as she leaned over. "It's not like you stepped onto the mat your first day and started pinning me." Noelle sat down, arms crossed with a glare. "That said, I won't say that my sparring record against you isn't abysmal to a painfully embarrassing degree." Then Noelle smiled. "But that's wiped clean, now. We're in another world, wrestling in an official match as professionals. You're debuting against me in less than two weeks, Marisol. Training room spars are nothing to a real record book."

Noelle stood back up, reaching for the clasps on her dress. "That said, if you're going to so brazenly throw our past in my face, then perhaps you'd like one more go at it now, before we meet in the ring for real?" As Noelle spoke, she undid her clasps and her belt, leaving on only the purple underdress that covered her decency. "I wouldn't mind working you over to work off that dinner."
