The scariest and coolest night at Rodouko Gym!! (open thread)

Gabriel was clapping his hands, languid. For several seconds her mind switched off meditatively as everyone seemed to notice it but her. Oh, she really did win. With that thought she flinched and looked sideways, smiling uncomfortably and wanting to make herself small. She really didn't think she would achieve anything by being late, but so it went.

She'll just let it go and, as soon as she can, she'll see how to make herself small. As long as she goes with the flow, maybe they won't have anything else on the agenda and she can take the stairs to get some punch, she thought with her eyes averted. But, when the blonde turned to where Yukino was standing, she couldn't help but lean back as if dodging a surprise blow from the white-haired girl's dumbfounded and pale gaze. The surroundings laughed at such her exaggerated reaction, but for blonde it was as if she was making eye contact with the fastama of a murdered person at the scene of the crime, it just felt like something else was going on in the idol's head and the blonde didn't know what...

Maybe it has to do with something she knows and she doesn't? Maybe it was because she won? She couldn't tell and this would be one of the few times where it was Gabriel's eyes that were down. But surely it was one of those things that wasn't really to do with her, but something else. After that, she just went along with whatever protocol Gwen and Jenny had prepared.

Yukino's attention was already fixed on the winner of the contest, but it certainly didn't help much when Gabriel caught notice. Just then, their eyes met - and Yukino shuddered, feeling an icy chill take hold of her body. She might not have met Gabriel in person before, but she certainly recognized her - she was a member of Gart's Bar, the same stable that Vin Caster had been a part of, and after her humiliating defeat at Nashi's hands, the idol couldn't help but fear that she might not be quite finished with them. For that matter, she recognized her as one of the opponents that Kira Kusangi had named for her Apex qualifier matches, which was enough to tell her that Gabriel would be a capable foe indeed, and one that would test the limits of her potential. And now, she had a better reason than ever not to hold back. Gabriel was an intimidating enough presence already - but now, Yukino knew she knew her. And that left the all-too-undeniable fear that things between them might not be over...

She was broken out of her trance when Nashi spoke, trying to cheer her up - apparently, she had assumed that Yukino's troubles came from losing the contest. That brought her down to reality, realizing that her friend hadn't been so caught up in her thoughts and feelings. The white-haired girl wasn't going to correct her - she didn't want to make this more complicated than was necessary. She smiled back to Nashi, nodding her head as she took her by the hand with a reassuring squeeze. "Thanks, Nashi..." For now, she would see what else the party would bring - and hopefully, she could steer clear of Gabriel, Vin, or both.

Jenny looked at the winner, Gabriel....... Her common expression was noticeable, one that she didn't know if it was nonchalance or she just didn't want to do something that would draw attention to herself, but it still seemed a bit odd to Jenny.

At the end Gabriel was with the 2 of them, so then Jenny would place a small tiara with witches day decoration, so then placing herself and having Gwen and Jenny and Gabriel in between them, they would pose so a picture would be taken of them, smiling for her, and Jenny would come up and whisper

Congratulations, I really thought someone else would win but I'm happy you managed to win....

So then Jenny would offer her hand to Gabriel, for a handshake to end the party even though she wouldn't think much of it, but that's what was planned.

Gabriel would be in a state similar to dazed. It was not unusual to be the centre of attention, all wrestlers are when they enter a ring; but there was something about it that made her... lose her naturalness.

Following protocol, she accepted the pretty tiara, posed for the obligatory photo with Jenny and Gwen, and listened to Jenny's whisper slyly. To which she mumbled with some sarcasm after the photo: "well, with that little face of yours? I don't believe you." Then she picked up hers monocle to put it on and go get some drinks. "Huh, by the way: Happy Halloween, Jenny-Jenny! Bye!~" She loses herself in the crowd like a little girl to make the most of what's left of the party and see if she can change Jenny's leader attitude for a while.
