That was close. That was much, much closer than Valerie would’ve liked.

As she slid off Christina’s back, she was gifted with the admittedly satisfying sight of the woman smacking into the pole that was meant for her. As much as she wanted to sympathize, it was a little hard to feel bad when her opponent had just tried to do worse to her - no doubt, she would’ve been writhing in pain right now if she had been a touch slower.

That, however, was not the case, and she instead had an open and vulnerable opponent that she could do whatever she liked with. The referee was counting them out, already getting to three, but Valerie figured she had enough time for a move. She had a pretty good idea what to go for, too.

It would work better in the ring, where she had ropes for extra momentum, but she was reasonably confident she could pull the move she wanted off here, too. As Christina fell back, Valerie came at her from behind, wrapped her arms around the woman’s sides, and pulled her into a tight waistlock. From there, she fell back and forced the two of them to tumble with an O’ Conner roll, picking up momentum as they fell heav over heels and then back up to their feet.

The moment they were standing again, Valerie lifted Christina up, arched her back, and attempted to plant the woman’s shoulders on the floor, as she completed the most damaging variation of the German Suplex - the Chaos Theory Rolling Suplex.

Go big or go home.

The waistlock cinch tight just as Christina was trying to straighten up, her back still screaming from the ring post. Before she could widen her base or fight the grip, Valerie dropped and rolled, dragging her into motion. The sudden tumble stole Christina’s balance completely, the world flipping end over end—

—and then she was airborne.

Valerie’s strength took over. Christina was yanked up and back, her body arcing helplessly as the Chaos Theory rolled through. There was no time to brace.

BAM.

Christina’s shoulders and upper back smashed into the floor with brutal force, the impact rattling through her spine! She bounced once before collapsing flat, arms spreading instinctively as pain flared across her back and neck.

She lay there for a moment. One knee bent, boot scraping weakly against the floor as she tried to move, but the suplex had done its damage.

The Fighting Filipina rolled slightly onto her side, wincing, clearly hurting—down on the floor and reeling as the crowd reacted to the sheer violence of the landing.

Valerie wouldn’t say she regretted busting out this move on the floor, but she wasn’t going to apologize for it, either. Ringside brawling was not something she excelled at, in any way, and she much preferred to keeping things inside the ring whenever possible.

But this was a special circumstance against a special opponent. As much as she hated the idea, she had to take some drastic measures, and this would just be one of them.

In her defense, though, it worked. Splendidly. Valerie sat up after the suplex, spun about to her knees and saw Christina Perez utterly wiped out, writhing in pain, wide open for the moment. She knew it wasn’t going to last long, but it was a great window. She could work with this.

”7!”

Right, the referee. Valerie had little time to waste - she stood up, moved in, reached down and used a hard handhold on Christina’s head to pull her back up. As soon as she was standing, she gave the woman a quick knee to the stomach to make sure she remained pliant, then spun her about and rolled her into the ring, with her following right behind a second later to break the count.

Christina was rolled back under the ropes, her body thudding against the canvas as she landed on her side. She curled slightly, one arm clutching her midsection while she tried to steady her breathing, the damage from the floor still burning.

She rolled onto her stomach and dragged a knee under herself, shaking her head as she forced herself to move.

Finally, finally, finally Valerie was starting to feel some momentum. Christina had more than earned her reputation, keeping her on the backfoot throughout, but that was no longer the case - for the first time in the match, it truly felt like she could pull this off.

But a few good moves did not a win make. She needed to start clenching this, and she hadn't forgotten about the rules - she needed a submission.

She slid in under the bottom rope, popped up to her feet, and promptly made her way over to the middle of the ring, where opponent was rising to her knees. Before she could get up all the Valerie seized her foe’s hand, leaped, and tried to wrap one leg around Christina’s neck while the other came around her shoulder. An attempt at catching the veteran wrestler with her signature submission triangle choke, the Neo Valleylock.

Christina felt Valerie’s legs snap into place, one locking around her neck while the other cinched over her shoulder. The pressure came on fast, thighs squeezing tight as the Neo Valleylock began to close in. The crowd buzzed, sensing the danger.

However Christina didn’t panic.

Instead, she shifted her base and drove up onto her knees, forcing her spine straight and her posture tall. With a sharp exhale, she powered upward, pushing Valerie’s hips onto her thighs to relieve the pressure on her neck. The squeeze weakened just enough.

Then Christina stood.

She stepped one leg over Valerie’s waist and dropped her weight back down, following with the other leg. The triangle broke. Valerie’s grip unraveled.

Christina leaned back hard, immediately trapping the exposed leg and twisting her body into position, hunting for a heel hook. Her hands locked in, eyes focused, already angling her hips for torque.

If she secured it fully, it wouldn’t just hurt—
It could cripple Valerie if she didn't tap or escape!

The first ValleyLock, the more this was named after, had been her mother’s. The second Valley Doll would often use a figure-four headlock to wear down her opponents, and she even squeaked out the occasional win with. She’d had a good body for it. Powerful legs. Nice and strong. Knockout power

So did Valerie, for that matter, but she opted for something a little more lethal and effective. She was good at locking in this triangle choke, and against most people this would’ve been a good way to wear them down, maybe even score a win.

Christina Perez was not most people.

Valerie’s grunted in annoyance as the woman began to work her way up. Even before the hold broke, she had some idea of what was about to happen - the torque, the movements, the positions, all told her she was about to be in a lot of pain unless she acted quickly.

Her first step was to bring her free leg in as Christina went for the heel hook, then shoot it out towards her face, hoping to catch her off guard with a swift blow before the move could be solidified. From there, the next step was easy: get away from Christina, get up to her feet, and create some real space between them.
