Daniel Haines vs Gloria Star — Standard Match (No Submissions)

Things were certainly not bright for the superhero as Danny was chipping away at her with every shoulder tackle until Gloria was knocked down gasping for air. Every shoulder tackle felt like it was going further and further into the superheroines body until she finally collapsed letting out a big huff of air come from her body. Everything was starting to get shaky as she was moving her body back and forth to try and break free of Danny's pulling her up to a standing position.

As she was being pulled up the crowd was leaning in already getting an idea for what Danny had an in mind and to some it seemed like a big finish too early in this bout. And when Gloria opened her eyes she knew what Danny had in store for her too and knew this couldn't be how it ended. "Sorry, Danny..... but I'm still.... fighting!!!" Gloria stood there gritting her teeth in determination as when Danny went to grab her, the determined superhero went to raise her arms up to grab his before he could grab her. If successful, the star sprangled superhero would aim to pull Danny down in an impressive feat of strength to try and judo throw them straight down the mat!

Danny had hoped he did enough to stun Gloria but he couldn't have been more mistaken! His eyes widened as he was grabbed and flew through the air!

Danny crashed hard onto his back and groaned. He was tunned by the sudden counter and as he shook his head trying to regain his bearings Sophia had a great window of opportunity to pounce!

Gloria did it… even with the aching pain and sweat dripping down her face, the superhero had shown she was still fighting strong! Gloria let out a sigh of relief as she brushed her hand against her forehead to wipe off the sweat as she turned her head and seeing the crowd cheer for her. Even with Danny rolling over her for the past few minutes, the Roman coliseum stilled adored the star spangled gal bringing nothing but a smile to her face. At the time, with the crowd all hyped up, it gave Gloria and idea as she took a quick glance down at her cousin. The blonde turned around and placed her hands on the ropes pulling herself up as she climbed to the top rope.”DO YOU KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS!?!” Gloria shouted as she spread her arms out as a gesture for the crowd. “ITS STAR SPANGLED TIME!!!” The crowd shouted back in unison for one of Gloria’s catchphrases which made the blonde smirk. Gloria leaned forward before leaping off the top rope!


“STAR-SPANGLED SPLASH!!” Gloria shouted as she went to preform her frog splash signature to squash her body her body right on top of her cousin! Had she been successful the blonde superhero would rolled over to hook one of Danny’s legs for a pin. She even raised her arm up to raise a finger to go alongside the ref’s counts.

Danny crashed to the mat and groaned knowing if he didn't get moving things were going to unravel. He ended up being entirely correct as before he finished that thought Gloria came crashing down painfully on top of him with a huge frog splash from the top rope! He grunted and felt himself covered for the pin. This was not going well...

"ONE!"

"TWO!"

Right after two Danny rolled to his side while thrusting a shoulder up to break the pin. He was still hurting but at least he wasn't being pinned anymore.

Gloria had done it. She managed to land one of her most devasting signatures onto her cousin, receiving nothing but an uproar of cheers from the audience. While the superhero couldn't help but feel proud, she managed to land the frog splash after getting nonstop bombardment by her cousin, she knew she had to act fast. She knew from firsthand experience that Danny was a tank that could take blows as well as he can dish out, so she had to strike while the Iron was hot by securing the pinfall. The blonde would go to roll over pressing her elbow down on Danny's stomach as she hooked one of his legs for the pin. As the ref began to count. Gloria would raise a finger to coincide with it. After the first two counts were made, Gloria could feel it in her body, the rush of adrenaline as she tighten her face hoping she would have the strength to hold on to Danny's leg to win the match. THR- Right as the ref was about to say it, Gloria felt Danny rolling to the side to thrust his shoulder out to break the pin!


As Gloria rolled over, all she could do was look up at the ceiling as her chest began to heave in and out as all she could mutter was. "No.... I was... so close...." She muttered as she let out deep breaths of air just thinking about how after so many years of constantly coming up short to her cousin, she almost won against him. Now both members of the Sanders bloodline were laying on the canvas hurting. However, Gloria could still feel it, victory was still in her grasp and had to do something about it. The blonde superhero would roll over to land on her knees and reach up to grab onto the ropes to help push herself up to a near standing position. Now there she was, in a leaning position looking down at Danny with the only thing leaving her mouth were faints of breath. "Alright Danny, that was impressive.... but I still got more in the tank..." Gloria let out as she would pat her elbow before dropping down, aiming to deliver a powerful elbow drop onto Danny!

Gloria was up first and Danny was still on the mat after having taken the top rope offense. He was trying to move out of the way but he was too slow as she crashed down on top of him yet again! He groaned and rubbed his chest again, writhing as he was really struggling now. He shook his head trying to shove her away so he could roll to the side. He was not going well at all now that she had built some serious momentum.

Gloria was on a roll. After landing her powerful frog splash signature, Gloria was quick to work after her botched pin by falling down to hit Danny with a brutal elbow drop! "WHOAH!!!" The audience cheered on the superhero as right before she could do anything else, she felt Danny pushing her back causing Gloria to land right on her butt."Ooof...." She lightly wheezed as she pressed her hand on the mat to help push her up to a standing positon.

Now that she up Gloria would lean forward a bit to wipe the sweat off her brow as she saw a now struggling Daniel. To Gloria this all she ever wanted, to be in control in a match against her cousin with the high chances of victory after years of losing to him ever getting a single win over him. If Gloira wanted to, she could reach down and slam him until he was out.... but it wouldn't feel right. Gloria could easily do it but to do this while Danny was regulated to being a downed puppy just made something in Gloria's stomach turn the other way. If she wanted to win, she wanted to best him properly. Even with the audience's cheers and appualses, Gloria couldn't bring herself to do something like a running knee stomp or something of that magnitude, instead the blonde superhero would do something else. "Here let me help you." Gloria let out as she walked over to Danny aiming to pull on his arm to get him to a standing position. "Don't worry I'm not gonna try something if you don't." She whispered letting out a light chuckle. Once Gloria pulled him up she would let go and readjust herself to a classic grappling pose. "So Daniel, care for a test of strength?" She grinned as she held her arms out just waiting for Danny to accept so they could kick off another test of strength.

Danny was laying there trying to recover so he could rise. It was then that Gloria pulled him up, nonchalantly, in a big PPV match. No keeping up the pressure. No trying to maintain control. Part of him couldn't help but feel like this was patronizing, a touch condescending. She didn't seem to think he was a threat or take him seriously.

He couldn't help but feel a little bit angry. Even if she didn't mean it this is how it came across to him.

"Great. Lets do it." He said happily clasping hands with her and giving it his all to overpower her.

Gloria could've went to pick Daniel up and slammed him again, but that wasn't how this superhero rolled. Instead, Gloria was trying to show good sportsmanship by helping her cousin up to his feet receiving mix reception from the audience in doing so. Some cheered and clapped Gloria not wanting to strike while he was done while others booed wanting to see these two wrestlers continue to go at it. Gloria however paid neither side no mind as she looked at her cousin with a tender smile. When both family members were standing, Gloria tighten her muscular body as she held her hands out for another test of strength.

"Well then let's see if you can handle this!" Gloria raised cocky eyebrow as both cousins clasped hands again, interlocking their fingers with one another until both were standing tall in the center of the ring for the world to see! Gloria gritted her teeth determination as now that Daniel took some big hits, she might actually have a chance of getting the leg up in this situation."Got to say Daniel this was better than I hopped but.... you always were a bit stubborn." Gloria chucked tensely referring to her cousin in the third person before tightening her grip on his hands exerting more muscle strength to try and push Danny back!

Danny was back up and locked up in a test of strength with Gloria, feeling the force of her might pressing! He wasn't going to let her just have her way though and he was pushing back with everything he had! "Yeah... I get hear that a lot..." He said through grit teeth. "It may be a family trait since you are just as thick headed as I am." He added struggling, his body trembling as he tried to keep pressing back! This wasn't looking good but he was still confident he could win even if the beating he took was making it a lot harder!
