Yumie Hayashi vs. "Amazon" Alaina Sanders-Haines (C): Youthful Energy vs. Veteran Grit Ladder Match

Match Type: Ladder for the LAW Heavyweight Championship

Alaina was backstage wearing her two piece tiger print attire, stretching and mentally preparing herself. It wasn't often that it was the heavyweights engaged in ladder matches especially with the LAW Heavyweight Championship on the line. Alaina was determined to win this one, and she had to show an incredibly talented but incredibly arrogant Yumie exactly what it took to win as well as retain a championship here in LAW. Alaina was confident in herself as this was title defense #11 in her reign with Alaina having plenty of momentum in her favor. Was it going to be an uphill battle? Yes. Was Yumie going to push her, testing her limits as the rookie on paper was probably favored against a 49 year old? Yes. Was Alaina going to grind it out and come out on top? She absolutely planned to.

She was looking over her attire in the mirror knowing that it all fit perfectly and the old champion left the locker room to walk the halls heading nearer to the arena as she would await her turn to enter the ring and defend her LAW Heavyweight Championship once more.

Yumie sat in the locker room already clad in her white and red attire cracking her knuckles ready for the war that was about to occur inside the ring against the champion, for the belt. The Japanese woman knew she needed to stay focused and when she fought hard enough the gold would around her waist and not around someone she began to consider a rival. This was there second match against each other, Yumie lost the first and she planned to set the record straight this time when there was more than just pride and ego's to fight over.

Yumie then stood up and walked out into the hall, her face had a serious look painted over it, there was going to be no fooling around tonight and with a ladder and no doubt other weapons thrown into the mix this match was likely to prove more dangerous than the last. On her way to the curtain Yumie saw a familiar face, her opponent for tonight though she didn't stop or say a word to the champion simply giving her a small glare as she walked past her and close to the curtain. It was best not to risk starting a fight backstage before a match, especially a title match. Hearing her music start up not a second too soon Yumie walked past the curtain and onto the stage raising both her fist in the air and holding them for a few moments before bringing them down and walking down the ramp to the ring giving the fans a smile that they could get behind before Yumie slid in the ring and went right to her corner. "Come on Alaina... time to hand that title over" Yumie thought to herself as she rested her arms across the top ropes.

Alaina saw Yumie enter and the amazon was psyching herself up to face her once more. This was going to be a tough match. Ladder matches weren't a specialty of Alaina's and her opponent wad a tough one regardless of match type. She was still going to go out and do all she could to retain that title.

Her music began to play and she came out holding her title high and posing with it at the top of the ramp before strutting towards the ring with confidence. She glared at Yumie as she entered the ring her eyes never leaving the challenger. She looked at Yumie like a predator looking at prey. She was silent as she handed her title over to the official. Alaina stood in the middle of the ring and held her hands out looking to kick things off with a grapple!

Yumie glared towards the ramp as she heard Alaina's music start watching as the Amazon hold the title high before walking down to the ring. As Alaina glared back at her Yumie wanted to do nothing more than run up and punch the Amazon's face until her knuckles bled but she restrained herself watching Alaina hand the title off to the referee as another brought a ladder into the ring so the other could hang it high above the ring. Yumie simply watched and hummed eager to get her hands on the current champion but had to wait for the referees to finish setting up. After a couple of minutes the extra referee took the ladder and returned it to the outside of the ring. Stepping forward Yumie met Alaina in the middle of the ring and the referee signaled for the bell. Not wanting to give Alaina a thing, Yumie instead raised her hand attempting to slap Alaina hard across the face instead of going for a lock up. "That's for sticking your nose in my last match bitch!" Yumie growled, her dislike for her former childhood idol clearly growing each time they were near each other and reaching a boiling point here for the title.

The loud slap turned Alaina's face to the side and her hair flew everywhere. "So this is how it is. Fine!" Alaina shouted back as she waste no time in swinging back only instead of a slap she was swinging forearms at the chest of Yumie rapid fire! The amazon was not going to take that slight sitting down and it was time that Yumie experienced a title match with a woman who was trying to be the most dominant champion LAW had ever seen. Alaina was putting all she had into the forearms while moving as quickly as she could to smash the chest of her challenger!

Yumie glared into Alaina's eyes after the slap until the Amazon finally spoke and returned in kind sending a series of forearm strikes to the Japanese woman's chest causing her to grunt with each one. "RAH!" with a war cry Yumie began to return fire sending a forearm strike of her own towards Alaina's chest before bringing her arm back and aiming to send another to the woman's face before sending three more if that one landed, the start of the title match turning into a slug fest right from the start!

"UGH!"

Alaina was now being hit as Yumie was striking back and the amazon swayed a bit, staggering on limp legs before she grit her teeth with a scowl etched on her face. She wasn't about to back down so she began firing back with forearms once more stepping back up and striking with all the gusto she could! After sending a few more strikes back she would outright lunge in and extend her arm to try to clothesline Yumie down to the mat giving it her all to do so!

Yumie grit her teeth as she struck back at the champion landing two hits before Alaina staggered back and quickly recovered. It was obvious the two women didn't like each other and were not going to hold back. Yumie would then grunt as Alaina struck again, taking a step back with each hit she received until they stopped and Yumie reached her hands up to rub her chest only to look up just in time to get clotheslined by Alaina, sending her back first straight down to the canvas with a thud.

Alaina managed to send Yumie down to the mat and she felt a satisfaction in that. Alaina quickly yanked Yumie up by the arm and grabbed her around the waist. She was going to try to squeeze her and lift attempting to send Yumie down to the mat again with a northern lights suplex! She was trying to stay up on Yumie knowing full well that letting her have momentum in a match like this was incredibly dangerous. Alaina knew as the older woman that the mobility aspect of the ladder match clearly favored the challenger. Alaina had to maintain that momentum as best she could.

It was going to take a lot more than one little clothesline to keep Yumie down in the slightest and her opponent seemed to know this well and wasted no time grabbing her wrist and pulling her up, feeling Alaina's arm wrap around her and squeeze Yumie reacted quickly elbowing her opponent in the upper back repeatedly as Alaina tried to lift her trying to get her hold to weaken enough to pull away and shove the Amazon back to create some space between the two so she could reengage and get some momentum of her own going once again.
