Whether or not it was this common to take it to a veteran like this throughout the match was irrelevant to Hazel, she wanted to give the champion everything she had, to give her a fitting end to such a reign! Getting back up to her feet, Hazel took a few steps towards her motionless opponent. Alaina seemed truly out of it, perhaps she could have just pinned her now without much effort? No, as painful as it would be for the woman, Hazel would ensure she had no fight left.

Reaching down, Hazel grabbed the Champion's legs and dragged her to the center of the ring before rolling her onto her back. Hazel stared down at the woman. "Just to let you know, you've been a great wrestler" Hazel complimented before positioning the woman's legs, making sure one trapped the other while the other was trapped under her arm. Hazel would then turn her body and kneel down, painfully twisting and bending the woman's body, locking in her submission finisher Hlioskjalf!!!

Alaina heard Hazel as she was laid out and tonher it didn't matter. The dazed Alaina found her words more dismissive. "Were a great champion" as if she was a footnote to this woman. Sure it seemed like Hazel couldn't be kept down but what she said lit something inside Alaina.

The jolt and burst of pain she felt from the hold also played a role in Alaina snapping back to reality as she was stuck, seemingly unable to escape this agonizing hold as she thrashed about, twisting, clawing and doing all she could to escape with zero success. She was stuck and still bucking wildly to try to escape.

Hazel's words weren't meant to be dismissive, Alaina was a pathfinder to younger wrestlers like Hazel, she paved the way for them, and now Hazel was planning to take that path even further after she beat her. The Scotswoman had her submission finisher locked in though it seemed Alaina still had some life left in her, though Hazel was sure a hold as agonizing as this would drain what little might have remained.

"TAP!" Hazel barked as she pressed her knee against Alaina's head, letting some of her weight bear down on the woman's skull, adding yet another level of pressure to the already agonizing hold. So far Hazel had a lot at Alaina, though a bit of doubt formed in the back of her head. "How much is it going to take?" Hazel thought to herself, surprised the champion hadn't tapped out from the amount of pain she was subjecting her too! "Just give up, don't make me hurt you" Hazel said softly showing some concern for Alaina's safety that she might not have normally shown towards most opponents as the referee kneeled to check on Alaina to see if she wanted to give up yet.

Alaina shook her head as best she could as the official checked on her. "No... way... " Alaina said through grit teeth. Her unhooked arm was not at a good angle to push up but she felt like she could maybe just maybe get it in better position if she bucked and thrust her whole body over and got that freed up. Alaina wanted to thrust violently to the side and get that arm underneath her as she tried to get her arm underneath her. She knew if she did that and pushed up with her free arm she could potentially get herself not out of the hold but shift her position so the hold wasn't anywhere near as effective while granting her a chance to try to escape from there.

Hazel sharply exhaled through her nose hearing Alaina's refusal to submit. Alaina was stubborn, Hazel at least had to give her that among other things. "This is over Alaina, whether you want to accept it... or not!" Hazel said as she gritted her teeth as she focused on maintaining her hold through Alaina's bucking and squirming but generally had to give some ground, letting Alaina get her arm at a better angle in order not to fully have Alaina slip from her grasp. "Just.... Give... Up!" Hazel growled pulling back on the woman's legs as hard as she could hoping a final harsh level of pain would finally break the Amazon's spirit and will to fight, knowing that her ability to maintain the hold was becoming increasingly compromised!

Alaina almost had it... she could feel it. She grunted and groaned rocking the other way. "If you think this is over you really don't know me." Alaina said through her grit teeth before again thrusting and bucking giving it her all to escape! She almost had it last time and she felt like this could be it. If it wasn't then the amazon was in real trouble as her body was now throbbing, jolting with pain after every little move thanks to this hold. She thrust and gave it her all to escape, it was now or never.

"We'll see.. about that!" Hazel responded even as Alaina was proving it wasn't over, wiggling, squirming, and making her way out of the Scotswoman's submission finisher until finally the Amazon's legs slipped from her grasp. "Damn it" Hazel thought to herself as she tried to stand up and reassert control only to stagger forward. "One way or another Alaina" Hazel said quietly as she turned and readied herself, stalking the champion like a shark that smelt blood in the water, ready to charge at the Amazon the moment the woman was back on her feet, ready to hit the woman with yet another painful spear if everything went as Hazel anticipated!

Alaina groaned and saw Hazel out of the corner of her eye looking ready to pounce. Alaina had to try to do something even though she was in a lot of pain. She rolled to her side, actually putting her a little closer to where Hazel was readying something. However Alaina had an idea and she wasn't sure if it would work or not but she had to try something after being caught in that hold which had really done a number on her.

Every little move hurt. She grit her teeth knowing she had to fight through that. She got up and before she was upright in a low position almost like a sprinter position she instead sprang forward at Hazel. Alaina wanted to try to use this burst to rush at Hazel and instead spear her to the mat hoping to bulldoze the challenger over and land a few hard punches to the face to jar her. Alaina had to keep fighting and if something simple but effective ended up working then so be it!

The match had been going on for a while at this point, and everyone watching had to wonder how much each woman had left. Alaina had suffered through and managed to escape the Scotswoman's agonizing submission hold, and Hazel had kicked out of the Amazon's finisher, and now they were both back to square one, in pain and more tired than before. As Hazel rushed towards Alaina, the champion did the same to her, but got the upper hand as she plowed into Hazel before she could lower her shoulder, taking her down to the mat with the Amazon on top of her. Before Hazel could even think about moving, the Amazon began to throw punches, and on instinct, Hazel put her arms up, trying to shield herself from the blows as one hand reached up, pushing against Alaina's face, trying to shove and force her off!

Alaina landed a couple hits but was shoved off hard by Hazel. It wasn't as effective as Alaina hoped but it did send the message that she still had fight left in her despite the pain she felt when she moved. Alaina grit her teeth and staggered up to her feet knowing Hazel would be rising as well. Alaina stepped up and grunted not wasting time. She had to go all in, not giving Hazel any breathing room if she wanted to leave with her title.

Alaina was going for simple but effective again looking to rock Hazel with a hard belly punch followed by an uppercut to the jaw! She was hoping to stagger this woman to stun her long enough to try something big without as much risk of a counter. Everything had to be perfect for the old champion to come out on top against this upstart challenger!
