Yumie Hayashi vs. "Amazon" Alaina Sanders-Haines (C): Youthful Energy vs. Veteran Grit Ladder Match

Alaina was down as Yumie began to trap her head in the chair. Alaina struggled to try to push it away in time but she failed as Yumie stomped it making the chair crush Alaina as it closed! She howled and thrashed about trying again to move the chair but the dizzy, light headed amazon was moving slow as everything now was a struggle for her as Yumie kept hammering away at the champion outside the ring. Things were looking very bleak right now and Alaina's movements reflected the state she was in as she again sluggishly tried to get the chair off of her.

Yumie let out a sigh as she stomped on the chair, the crushing forced causing her opponent to howl in pain like a banshee. "I know it hurts... I know" Yumie muttered seeing Alaina slowly and weakly trying to free herself from the chair. Yumie would then raise her foot again, attempting to stomp on the chair leg once more in order to crush Alaina once more and weaken her further. If successful Yumie would step back looking down at the Amazon to observe the damage and decide how to proceed further.

Alaina was stomped again and groaned as she slumped and flopped on the ground writhing in pain as her inability to get the chair off her led to even more punishment as it looked like she was outright incapable of fighting back against Yumie at this point after taking the various chair shots from Yumie...

With the chair serving its.... intended or unintended purpose, depending who you asked. Yumie stepped back looking at the Amazon, the woman in clear and obvious pain, it looked as if the fight was squeezed out of her with the crushing force of the chair. It was time to get her hands on that title. Walking back to the ring Yumie slid in and immediately went to the ladder grabbing it and dragging it until it was positioned directly back under the title. Climbing up Yumie was anxious and excited with those feeling growing with each step up the ladder. Yumie would continue to climb the ladder until she was almost at the very top, she would then reach her hands up attempting to grab the title, Alaina's whereabouts were not even in her mind and in moments it likely would be less than irrelevant.

Alaina was out of it and laid out as Yumie was in the ring setting the ladder up beginning her descent before Alaina even moved at all. She knew Yumie wasn't anywhere nearby and she assumed that she had to have made a run for the ring. The dazed amazon was out of it flopping as she rolled over. Meanwhile inside the ring Yumie was halfway up the ladder with Alaina reaching over to grab at the apron to haphazardly pull herself up. She began to rise before falling in a heap back to the ground as Yumie was nearly up the ladder. Alaina looked done. So this was how it would end?

Alaina pulled again, pulling and flopping up onto the apron to roll back into the ring as Yumie was reaching up for the title. A title she didn't deserve to have. A title that would be held by a smiling face that just wished everyone was beneath her. Alaina couldn't let that happen. She crawled, stumbled and hobbled to the ladder climbing up and reaching for Yumie's legs looking to yank them down hoping that the cocky chin of Yumie smacked every rung as Alaina yanked her down to the mat!

As Alaina struggled and failed to get up Yumie was climbing. She was almost at the top as Alaina finally got back up and as her fingers brushed up against the title Alaina grabbed her legs and yanked her down! Yumie's head hit one of the rungs on the way down causing her to cry out in pain before, landing on the canvas with a groan, the landing hurt, but it wasn't the worst she ever had and it wasn't going to let it stop her! "Couldn't just stay down huh?!" Yumie said in an annoyed tone looking up at Alaina before throwing a kick at one of the Amazon's legs from her prone position.

Alaina managed to take Yumie down but Yumie still had plenty of fight left in her! Alaina took the kick and stepped back rubbing her leg as Yumie got up. Alaina would try to move in while reaching out to grab Yumie's head with her left hand, gripping her opponents hair while her right fist sailed into Yumie's face as hard as well and as fast as Alaina could punch! She was not going to risk falling behind any further at this juncture given the beating each woman had absorbed, especially the punishment Alaina had taken as of recently. This was critical and Alaina knew that being older and slower meant that Yumie getting a head of steam could very well mean a much faster ascent up that ladder than Alaina could muster.

Yumie's kick, one that many could call desperate hit the Amazon giving her a little space to get up only to be grabbed by the hair, her teeth gritting as a mean right fist sailed into her face stunning her and causing her to grunt and go a bit limp in the Amazon's grasp as her right hand reached up rubbing the side of her face as her left hand pushed against Alaina's hip in a barely half-hearted attempt to push the woman away.

Alaina felt Yumie shove her but this didn't have the force or power it would have earlier in the match. Both women were being pushed and Alaina took comfort, sort of anyway, in knowing that Yumie was just as gassed as she was. It was a punishing match, a tough type for the champion, and right now against a damn tough but damn cocky challenger she was fighting her even. This as painful as it was seemed to be a decent scenario for the LAW Heavyweight Champion. She just had to fight hard and smart from here on out. As much as she wanted to try to plaster Yumie she had to maintain momentum.

Alaina stepped back up swinging a knee high aiming it as Yumie's jaw hoping a jolting strike like that would keep her off balance allowing Alaina to step in and grab hold as she tried to deliver a simple snap suplex right after to continue to build momentum while slowly working to deflate Yumie.

The balance of the match had flipped once again and Alaina's hard punch left Yumie too weak to push the Amazon away and instead the woman's knee was introduced slamming into the underside of Yumie's jaw completely stunning her as her head snapped back! She likely would have fell backwards if Alaina hadn't held her but this wasn't a sign of mercy or friendship as Alaina pulled her head down and lifted her up and sending her back down! Yumie cried out in pain as her back hit the canvas her back bridging in pain!
