Middleweight Championship Match: Tracy "Circus Cat" Canon vs Tina "Tigress" Armstrong(c) - Coming of Age

Tracy had already begun stepping towards the ring. She was set to once again leave Tina behind in favor of chasing the gold. But just as the luchadora brushed off her foe, the audience began to cheer in response to Tina's sheer willpower and stubbornness. The Tigress lunged forward like the predator she was and pounced on Tracy with a flurry of blows! The masked middleweight barely had time to react. She'd put her forearms up to guard, but many of those quick, successive blows would find their mark!

"Gah! Urgh!" Tracy groaned and grunted in pain. She didn't quite know where Armstrong was finding all this drive from, and at this point, she didn't care. Being hit over and over again would stagger Tracy and knock her back a couple of steps. She'd hunch forward and wince in pain. The redhead fully expected Tina to keep coming, and when she did, Canon would have an answer.

"Shut! Up!" Tracy would spinning and raising her foot for a roundhouse kick to the champ's toned abs! If her blow found it's mark, Tracy would quick step to the side and prep herself to jump up high! She'd try to follow up with a showy but very effective Scissor Kick to the back of Tina's skull!

Tina hammered Tracy and thought she might have done enough to get her to open up to more offense. Tina was wrong. She groaned and doubled over, staggering back as the strike to her abdomen connected! She kept an eye on Tracy and saw another of her displays. Tina was tired of being out-performed in her first title defense, and was the leg went up Tina knew the best place for her to be was anywhere other than her current location!

The tigress stepped to the side, and Tracy's kick would connect to nothing but air as Tina tried to grit her teeth and fight through he pain! She stepped back in and swung her whole body up, using all the power she could to attempt to hammer Tracy in the jaw with a jumping uppercut! If this hit Tina could only hope Tracy crumpled to the mat in a heap, otherwise the tigress was going to be in a lot of trouble!

Outperforming her opponents was Tracy's claim to fame. The Circus Cat always looked to make a spectacle of herself in the ring. She was holding her own in her first bid for the Middelweight Championship. The redhead had intended to finish things and show up Tina by slamming her leg down on the champ and driving her into the steel ramp before picking up the gold! But despite Tracy's constant efforts to one-up Armstrong, Tina proved to be just a hair too resilient! The luchadora took a knee after missing her kick and she began pushing herself up to her feet before turning around to face her blonde foe. And when she did, Tina was ready to punish her whiff with a huge Jumping Uppercut!

The punch connected cleanly and sent Tracy down like a sack of potatoes. The long brawl on the outside seemed to have finally culminated with Tina coming out on top. The audience roared as Tracy remained floored. Her chest rose with each heavy breath she took. Her eyes remained shut. Truly this exchange would put the other middleweights on notice. Brawling and trading hands with the champ wasn't going to be an easy task. And Tracy just found that out the hard way.....

The way Tracy's body reacted to the strike and crumpled rejuvenated Tina, and she realized she had an opening! Tina was hurting but trying to fight through the pain as she got up and made her way to the ring, making a clear bid to get in there and head over to the ladder! Tina slid underneath the bottom rope and then made her way to the ladder, adjusting it as needed so it was positioned right underneath the title belt. Tina reached up and began to painfully climb up the ladder, doing all she could to make progress. Her title was right up there, and she was doing all she could to walk back up the ramp with it around her waist just as it was when she entered the ring tonight.

It was Tina's title belt to lose, but it was also hers to retain so she could fully establish herself as a wrestler and not just someones student.

Tracy laid there in a daze. Her eyes dilated as Tina took off and made her first genuine attempt at the belt this match. The announcers hyped the moment up. Fans shifted to the edge of their seats as Armstrong began setting up the ladder in the middle of the ring. Tina fought through the pain, sweat, and blood to begin scaling that ladder. The sound of her boot touching that bottom rung echoed through to Tracy. Like an animal that had been startled awake, the feline sat up and scrambled. Her eyes flashed with life and she raced to the ring like a woman possessed!

Without sounding off or saying a word, Tracy would overcome her own pains and jump onto ring's apron. By the time Tina was three or four steps up that ladder, Tracy was on the apron, facing Tina's back. She'd twitch with eagerness as the champ scaled higher and higher. When Tina was just within reach, the luchadora would pull back on the top rope and jump onto it! She'd springboard high and launch herself at Tina with impressive speed and agility, all in an effort to knock her off the ladder and possibly even to the outside of the ring with an impressive Springboard Missile Dropkick!

Tina certainly had much to prove. She had seen through much of her career in Alaina's shadow. But Tracy was bent on standing by her own convictions. Both women wrestle pit their resolves against each other in this match. It was a juxtaposition like no other. Despite the fact that they were two of the most commendable middleweights on the roster, both Tina and Tracy genuinely felt they were the better wrestler!

Tina climbed up and before she got very high Tracy again showed that she refused to stay down, crashing into Tina's side! Tina flew from the ladder, landing on the top rope, draped across as if she were folded in half! She let out a weak groan as she fell forward over the rope, tumbling down painfully to the outside of the ring! She was left laying on the outside, a look of agony twisted across her face. The camp was down and out on the outside, Tina was barely able to move and in a state of pure disbelief at the fact that Tracy again recovered far more quickly than she had imagined she could!

Tina tried to stir, and tried to move but she was barely able to do so. She slapped the ground as she realized that Tracy may have taken her out of the fight and put herself in a great position to dethrone Tina already. She couldn't let this happen, but she was just barley moving, only able to roll over and make it to her hands and knees.

Tracy's aerial display knocked Tina and the ladder off the side of the ring. Armstrong caught a tough break, falling onto the ropes and tumbling off of them before taking a nasty spill to the outside. The luchadora fell on her side near the center of the ring. The ladder fell such that it was inches away from her! Most wrestlers at this point would try and scramble to their feet and set that ladder up while the champ was taken out. Tracy Canon wasn't most wrestlers.

The luchadora pressed her fists and forehead against the canvas of the ring. Slowly but sure, she'd find her way up. It was obvious that something was keeping The Circus Cat going. It was obvious that fumes and instinct fueled her rise as the redhead fought her way to her feet with conviction. Setting up the ladder and climbing it would take time. Tracy had already underestimated the amount of time Tina had stayed down earlier. For the sake of showing everyone what she could do when it was all on the line, and for the sake of showing up Tina, she'd abruptly bend down near the head of the ladder and toss it onto the top rope, thus leaning the ladder against it. Tracy wasted little time readying herself and running to the opposite side of the ring. The Circus Cat would build up speed and run up the leaning ladder in an impressive display! She'd quickly scale it and flip off the top, throwing all caution to the win in an attempt to fall onto Tina back-first with a Swanton Bomb to the outside!

"Up here!" Canon would call out to her foe just after taking flight! If the move hit, the audience would burst into cheers! Fans would get behind Tracy nearly unanimously as she put her aerial abilities front and center to show everyone at LAW exactly how and why they called her "The Circus Cat"!

Tina saw Tracy quickly scaling the ladder and cried out in anguish thinking that this was the end. She scrambled up to her feet, pain wracking every move she made! However, as Tina rose up she saw Tracy leaping towards her! Tina moved to the side, stumbling and diving managing to move just in the nick of time! She heard the impact Tracy made with the ground and looked down at her. Tina's chest heaved as she bent down, not wanting to give Tracy a chance to recover! She yanked her up by the hair and threw her up onto the announce table before going underneath the ring nearby. Tina was now going to do a big move to Tracy to keep her down just as Tracy had intended to do to her.

The tigress sent up a table near the announce table then made her way over to where she left Tracy, laid out on the announce table. She lift both hands overhead, hitting her in the abdomen with two double axe handle strikes before climbing up onto the table herself. Tina tried to lift Tracy up, shoving her head between Tina's legs. The tigress was priming herself to lift Tracy up for a tiger bomb, sending her though the nearby table and onto the unforgiving ground below!

Tracy crashed and burned on the outside. Part of being a flashy high-flier was taking these risks. To Tracy's credit, she very rarely ever missed. This would only be her second time missing the mark in a LAW ring, or match, rather. When the Tigress dove out of the way, the arena lit up with reactions of shock and disappointment. The harsh landing gave the champ ample time to capitalize. As Tracy lay there in a heap, Tina pulled her up by the hair roughly and dumped her onto the announce table nearby. It wasn't pretty or becoming but it worked while the luchadora couldn't fight back!

"Ungh!" Tracy grunted as she was dumped onto the table. The commentators backed up. The cameramen moved to a closer but nonintrusive distance. All eyes were affixed on Tina as she began hammering down on Tracy's abs for with a couple Double Axe Handles! The blows stunned the luchadora. She laid there on the table in a daze as her blonde foe fetched another table from under the ring and took her timg setting it up near Tracy! Armstrong then climbed up onto the announce table and stood over the downed challenger. It was obvious that Tina was going for something big. Just as Tracy had gone for a big move moments ago! The audience looked on with bated breath as pulled The Circus Cat up and for her into Double Underhook position to set up for her finisher! A move that everyone recognized: The Tiger Bomb, onto the wooden table!

At the last moment, despite being a wincing, semi-conscious luchadora, Tracy took action whilst on Tina's shoulders! She threw herself back towards the table and crossed her ankled behind Tina's head! It was far too late for her to save herself from being put through that table, but not too late to take Tina with her headfirst via an impressive and resourceful Frankensteiner!

Tina felt herself throwing Tracy down and knew that the tiger bomb was going to hit! However, her head was wrapped up and her own momentum was used agains her as she went tumbling down as well! Her head went down hard onto the ground below leaving her howling in pain! She knew the tiger bomb hit Tracy. How did the woman manage to fight back after missing a dive to the outside and withstanding the offense Tina put her through? A million things raced through Tina's mind as she laid there on the outside. There was no way she would let Tracy recover first... she couldn't allow it.

Tina groaned as she began to crawl over to the ring, realizing that she probably looked pathetic as she reached out to the apron, trying to use it to crawl up to her feet and work her way inside the ring to roll underneath the ropes. If Tracy was able to withstand all that and recover more quickly than Tina maybe Tina wasn't champion material like she thought. She was doubting herself as she did her best to make progress towards the ladder, now knowing where Tracy was. She could only hope she was still laid out amidst what was left of the table she just tiger bombed her through....
