Alice Gaster vs Sammi Defoe

Alice couldn't shake the weird, intrusive thought that she was grabbing at cotton candy when she grabbed Sammi's hair, shaking her head in the run to try and try to toss the sweet girl over the top rope!

Soon, as Alice threw Sammi, she could feel and see her flying through the air. Maths was never the Pale Rider's strong suit, but even she could tell by the trajectory that Sammi was out, and she won, spinning on the spot from the momentum to catch her breath...

...only to realize a short second later that she wasn't hearing the bell.

"One foot!", the ref would call out, realizing that confusion was occuring, Alice snapping her whole body to turn to face the edge of the ring, the ref confirming that the match was still on as Sammi held on by a thread, by her fingers!

Alice wasted no time, immediately launching herself towards Sammi with an outstretched arm, looking to Lariat her off the apron!

It was a surreal moment for Sammi! The perky pinkette knew that she was going into this match as an underdog! The fans knew that Alice had a wealth of experience over her! But when she somehow clung to the ropes and the ring apron despite having the closest of brushes with elimination, the crowd couldn't help but rally behind the little lioness that could!

Sammi was still shaking with a mix of excitement and nervousness. She barely pulled herself up to a standing position! She had conspicuous jitters as she adjusted her grip from the middle rope to the top rope. By the time the thought occurred to her to actually enter the ring properly, The Pale Rider had already taken initiative!

"AHHH!" Defoe cried out when her opponent wisely rushed forward to deal the decisive blow! The fans shifted from cheers to sounds of concern! Just as quickly as the Young Lioness wowed them with her ability to stay in this match, Alice was set to snuff out their cheers and Sammi's chances in the Double or Nothing Tourney!

Sammi panicked! She had only wrestled a handful of matches. She didn't know what to do! A more seasoned wrestler might have looked to catch Alice's outstretched arm, perhaps fight their way back into the ring, or counter in some other way! Sammi's eyes dilated and watered a bit. She didn't have a clear idea of how to fight back, but she also didn't want to let the fans down. She didn't want to let Alice down. She didn't want to let herself down!

In her manic state, Little Sammi dropped down to her knees and covered her big, pink afro with one hand! And without meaning to, she kept a grip on the top rope, accidentally creating a low bridge that could punish The Pale Rider's forward momentum to carry Alice and her big Lariat forward onto the ring apron! Or even fully out to ringside if Sammi was lucky!

Alice's mind went on auto-pilot when she saw Sammi was still on the apron. The image was simple in her mind. Hit Sammi off, and win the match...

...so why then, when Alice's hand sailed through the air to connect with the pinkette's head, it whiffed, hitting nothing but air?

"FUCK!!!"

Alice's momentum would carry her over the ropes, the Brit's free arm hooking itself over the ropes, to end up in a position Sammi found herself in just a few moments earlier, dangling her feet over the floor, the crowd making noise at the match's potential, surprising finish!

But Alice had enough left in the tank to pull herself up to grab the top rope with both hands, pulling herself back up to the apron!

No one could blame Alice for acting on autopilot! Wrapping this match up seemed like a rudimentary task just a second ago! After all, Sammi was just inches away from elimination! The Pale Rider was just about as ruthless a lightweight wrestler as you could find! She wasn't going to miss out on a chance to defeat her opponent and advance to the next round!

But hours and hours of practice for the Young Lioness had to culminate somewhere, even if it was unintentional! Perhaps being taken under the wing of Vera Sapphire did her a favor or two! Sammi luckily evaded the Lariat! Alice's own momentum carried her over the top rope and nearly cost her the match! Fans everywhere let out a collective gasp when Gaster tumbled over! But that anxiety quickly turned to excitement when Alice found her balance much quicker than Sammi did earlier!

"Huff.....huff...." Sammi's footing shook briefly as she worked her way up to her feet. She gulped as she looked into her opponent's eyes! Both ladies were at a standoff, standing on the ring apron! The commentators remarked on how things were coming to a head!

Sammi's eyes went towards the center of the ring for a second, but then quickly went back to Alice! The safety and security of the squared circle were right there! But then it hit her! What safety? What security? Inside the ring, she didn't have a plan against the veteran lightweight!

"B-b-bring it, Alice!" Defoe's voice shook, but her stance solidified! She turned her chest towards Alice! She kept one hand on the middle rope and gripped it tightly! The crowd only got more and more invested with each passing second! The feeling was that they were going to do this right here and right now! Clash such that one woman would remain on the apron! And one would be sent to the loser's bracket!
