”Main…fucking…event…”

Alice couldn’t help but say her thoughts out loud in her own locker room. Her own locker room. Not Clara’s, not anyone else’s. Tonight, she was treated like a superstar from entering the building onwards. Usually when asked to promote shows, she got a decent number of people to sign autographs…and today, that number was definitely in 100s of people. Her hand felt a little sore, though a bit of exercise got rid of the feeling.

She looked at herself in the mirror, motivating herself prior to the match. Tonight was the ultimate chance to prove herself as the best…but she couldn’t forget that her opponent also had a chip on her shoulder. Annie recieved the title from Rose Gold forfeiting it, and tonight she had even more to prove out of anyone wrestling tonight… even with Alice’s bumps on the road to challenging for the title. Even though she respected Annie, even though she realized how difficult the road ahead was for her…she was going to give her no quarter tonight.

”LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! IT’S TIME FOR THE MAIN EVENT!”

Alice Gaster

The hype package had played a few moments ago for the match, featuring snippets of the interviews the two women did prior to the match. Now, after the announcement for the main event, a more epic version of Alice’s new theme played…though it was still the same old Alice Gaster who entered on the entrance ramp, about to make her way down through under the gaze of the tens of thousands people in the Dome tonight. As she stood at the apex of the ramp, she took as much breath as she could, before raising her signature kendo stick into the air, and screaming, making sure she was as audible as possible:

”LET’S FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!”

The crowd cheered at her proclamation, as she made her way down the ramp with a massive smile on her face. The nerves were gone. And as she took a look at the ever familiar image of a squared circle in front of her, with the outside of the ring decorated with tables, chairs, ladders, light tubes, chains, and more. This was the perfect match for Alice…and though she was in her turf, she believed this was a perfect way for Annie to start her title reign or end it. There was no limits on how the two of them would fight tonight. Whichever woman was going to win, the loser had no choice but to accept the loss.

Alice would finally make her way inside the ring, as she raised her kendo stick into the air. Alice was hyping up the crowd herself, raising her hand to encourage people in the front row to make some noise! Slowly, however, Alice’s theme became quiet. She took her place at her corner, planting the edge of her weapon on the canvas, as she awaited for the champion’s arrival…

”Annie Clark”

So this was it, the opportunity many thought someone like Annie would never get to, the position many thought she did not deserve. But here she was, defending the Lightweight Championship in the main event of We Are LAW 7, live in front of tens of thousands of people in the Tokyo Dome, and the first time she performed in front of her own mom as well. Against one of the longest tenured wrestlers on the roster no less in Alice Gaster. It was a lot of pressure for Annie, someone who has only really been wrestling for about two to three years at this point. Would the spotlight be too big?

For Annie as she sat on the bench, doing some arm stretches, no it will not be. She had worked extremely hard for this moment, the fans clearly loved her despite some very vocal haters and critics online and in person. She knew there was only one option tonight, to win. She will not give up, no matter what Alice puts her through.

After one last deep breath, an official knocked on the door, and Annie grabbed the Lightweight title and put it on her shoulder, winking as she went out to the ring, her music starting to play.

The crowd rose to a fever pitch, being bathed in orange light as Annie came out onto the stage. Annie looked around the Tokyo Dome, at all the people who were rooting for her, and she took a deep breath before switching to a confident smile.

She then posed on the stage as pyro shot out, and then she walked down the ramp, slapping hands with as many fans as she could before walking towards the steel steps. But behind her from the seating barricade was a fan with long orange hair, Annie noticing this turned around and smiled.

It was her mom, who Annie walked over to and had her mom give her a good luck hug, before she told her to “Give her a booty whoopin” before Annie let go and walked into the ring.

Annie then went to the corner and posed with the Lightweight Championship, before walking up to Alice and staring her downright in the face.

“I’m ready to die for this title, partner, are you?” Annie said with a confident smile on her face.

Annie walked out on the entrance ramp. Even from the far away, Alice could see her rival’s face, the serious look, deep breath, and the switch to game mode, smiling as she made her way to the ring after her pyro fired into the air.

She greeted everyone as she cheerfully walked, her fans smiling and cheering back at her…with one particular one taking Annie’s attention. Her mom cheering in the front row for her. Alice took a deep breath, doing her best to not gaze up into the sky, closing her eye for a good few seconds as she shook her head from distracting thoughts.

Her mom…her adoptive mom was busy with work. Naturally, she understood why she couldn’t fly to Japan at moment’s notice, but a few hours before her match, she posted that she was watching the show. As the memory hit her mind, she smiled, opening her eyes. By that point, Annie would continue her trip down the ramp, gazing at Alice with a look of determination in her eyes.

Alice nodded at Annie’s question:

”Ready to go to hell and back for it”

The referee requested the belt from Annie. Specifically for her first defense, journalists requested a pre-match title ceremony pic. Simply both rivals at either side of the belt for Japanese magazines which would likely ship out tomorrow. Alice stood towards the middle of the ring, waiting for Annie to give the belt and do the same. Already, Alice was getting into her pose for the picture - her kendo stick lifted to be on her shoulders while her left fist was extended forward.

Annie smiled and nodded when Alice asked her a question back. She was more ready then she was ever going to be for this moment. She already had one moment taken away from her, and she was not going to let another moment get away from her again. This was her time to legitimize herself.

Annie handed the LAW Lightweight Championship over to the referee, before looking over towards where the corner was so that the photographers could take the photo.

Annie would raise her fist up in the air for her pose, as the camera flashed upon her toned body, she was ready for this.

She would then walk over to her corner, and do some arm stretches, as she waited for the bell to finally ring and the match to begin.

The photo was taken, and final preparations for the match could go underway. Alice went to her corner for the final stretches. Ref would request she drop her Kendo Stick for a clean start, even if the match was a hardcore one, and Alice obliged, leaving her signature weapon underneath the ropes.

The final moments before the match felt like they stretched an eternity. Alice could feel her heart beating out of her chest, and the ref was still checking with the crew whether the match was good to go…

…until finally.

DING DING DING!

Alice has decided a while ago how she would start the match. She wanted to test Annie, hence why she hadn’t jumped her or struck her at any point till now. The bell had rung, meaning any wordless agreement she had with herself or with the champion was out the window.

Alice would rush the champion, trying to take her by surprise, as she jumped up in the air, trying to floor Annie with a dropkick!

Annie took a deep breath as the bell rang, and the main event of We Are LAW 7 was about to begin. Annie was watching Alice like a hawk, and she learned soon that she had good reason to.

Alice was coming straight at her looking for a dropkick. Annie looked at this and decided not to panic, she knew exactly what she wanted to do.

Annie would bring out her arms, and attempt to grab both of Alice’s legs, and use the momentum to slam her down on the mat and stop her.

If that managed to work, Annie would then attempt to stomp on Alice.

Alice flew through the air in her attempt to attack Annie, as the champion reacted in time, stepping away and grabbing Alice’s legs to drive her to the ground!

”MGH!”

Alice would let out a grunt of pain and look up, seeing Annie about to stomp a hole through her! Swiftly, Alice tried to roll out of the way, avoiding the hit, while trying to wrap her legs around her rival’s leg, trying to trip her to the floor below!

Annie knew exactly what she wanted to do next, stomp on Alice and try to assert her dominance early in the championship bout, she already showcased her strengthby throwing Alice out of the air basically.

Sadly, all her feet would hit were the canvas of the mat, as Alice managed to get out of the way. Annie had a look of surprise on her face before she felt Alice’s legs wrap around hers.

“GAH!” Annie yelped as she fell face first onto the mat, holding her head in pain and stunned.

Though taking the champion by surprise failed, Alice wouldn’t give up in trying to gain an upper hand this early in the match. She successfully managed to trip Annie off her feet, while finding her way back onto her’s, and breaking into a run. As Alice rebounded back, she aimed her arm at the rising champion’s body, trying to Lariat her back to the ground!
