Invoking the Spirits: Yuri Yoshika vs Kanon Fujiwara

...As if itg hadn't been uncomfortable enough trapped in an opponent's guard and headlock. Yuri huffed in Kanon's armpit. And to make it so melodramatic. If it were anyone but Sayori, Yuri would have thought she was putting on an act. A cringey act.

"Her soul's gonna be LOST! for-EVER! COME ON, fight back Yuri! Fight for your SOUL!"

Yeesh. Sayori sounded close to tears. Yuri felt a sudden pang of guilt in her abdomen. It was meant to be a fun bit of gimmickry, not...traumatizing to her teammate.

The headlock was starting to pound a bit, though. Even Yuri knew a headlock was more of a transitional bit of posturing than a real attack, but even so, the pressure around her cranium was distinctly uncomfortable. She suspected it might blossom into a headache if it went on too long.

So—what to do, hm? Well, she didn't have leverage for good strikes, and Kanon didn't present her with much in the way of limbs to attack with...Ground wrestling. Even if Yuri did have any practical skill there. But, well. Yuri was...large compared to Kanon. So, what if she just...stood up? Perhaps that would be a bit of what Monika called "out of the box thinking."

...Or, more likely, perhaps it merely constituted a rookie's desperation. Ah well. Best to give it a try. First, she needed to pull in her knees and try to push up so she could get her feet under her, and...

As Yuri made her creaking progress towards standing while enwrapped by Kanon, her voice once more began to growl.
