The Stragglers
"Just a bunch of idiots who want to make it to the top. Is that too much to ask?”
Name’s faction: the stragglersAlignment: tweener

Strategy: You might think that their vastly different fighting styles and approaches make it impossible for them to coordinate, and you’d be right. But amid all the chaos, they manage to find some common ground and devise a mini-strategy, leveraging their versatility and the strengths each of them brings to create all kinds of combinations. This is because Marceline didn’t train them to act as a single unit when fighting, but rather for each to find their own style, so that when they fight together, it isn’t discipline that unites them, but an unbreakable bond of friendship and camaraderie that cannot be betrayed or sold out.

Founding of the team
Brought together for different reasons and with different goals, Marceline and Ana united eight talented individuals under the L.A.W. banner. They are being trained for six months to develop their physical and mental abilities and to build a bond with one another. They spent quite some time brainstorming a name, but ultimately chose “The Stragglers” because if even one person fell behind, the others would be there to support them
When Ana came with the news that they had been accepted but without the company’s support or benefits, instead of getting discouraged, they decided that each of them would pay out of their own pockets to make it work. Now they’re ready for whatever L.A.W. throws at them. Even if they fight among themselves, they’ll always accept any challenge.

- Since they aren't allowed to enjoy the benefits of L.A.W., Sari can't join the "young lions" program, which is why the team's den (sometimes the dormitory) is located in a forgotten room in the company building where event props are stored
- They always meet at a restaurant-bar called "La Parrilla" (Marceline and her sister's favorite spot) to discuss their situation or just hang out
- Whenever someone gets into a fight, someone else goes along to back them up in case things go wrong or if they run into some jerk who needs a good beating to teach them a lesson
