Despite the rising volume levels, Antonia did her best to ignore all this drama. Her focused mind was dead-set on filling out all the forms she needed for LAW, and she finished them! But then she had to wait to hear back from the receptionist, which meant staying within ear-shot of the less than quiet, trouble-making villainess. Eventually, Antonia's ant-themed attire, would catch Arachne's attention. How could she not have noticed this fellow bug-girl before?! Intrigued, Arachne deiced to introduce herself by approaching Antonia, and casually laying across the ant's lap. The boundary-breaking bug then took out a spoon from her Thorax Backpack, before helping herself to the soup Antonia had with her on a nearby table.
The general was irked about this behavior, responding with a hard karate chop on Arachne's lower back. Afterwards, she stood up, allowing the groaning spider to plop to the floor, before Antonia went to wash up in the lady's room. When Antonia returned and much to her relief, she didn't see any signs of Arachne. So she simply sat back down and continued consuming her soup. But as did so, Antonia's mouth flared up! The blonde yelled, before racing to a water dispenser, jugging the cold liquid to ease her the burning sensation. The nerdy ant had immediately came to the conclusion that Arachne had spiked her soup with hot sauce, as payback for chopping the spider's back.
A heavily blushing Antonia demanded Arachne show herself. The naughty lightweight appeared from behind a chair, laughing about having turned Antonia into a "fire" ant. What annoyed the middleweight even more than Arachne's insolent prank, was that the villainess was still up and kicking. Antonia was a black belt, a master striker. She karate chopped Arachne with the intention to leave the spider totally out of commission. But not only had Arachne endured a strike that should've cleaved her in two, said strike had failed to convince her to stop messing with Antonia! The general had simply underestimated Arachne's endurance, an honest mistake for a first meeting. Nonetheless, the ant sat down had a mini existential crisis about how her perfect chop was seemingly not very effective. And Arachne saw fit to lay across the blushing bug's lap again, before sticking her tongue out at her. Feeling utterly fluttered, embarrassed and infuriated, Antonia went on a rant, calling Arachne several vivid vocabulary words. And this finally caused the spider to frown and go bug someone else.
Honie B. Bea was someone else. While Arachne was already registered and Antonia was registering, the Heroine of the Beehive had already won her debut match at this point. As such, Honie should've been in good spirits, but she had just heard some bad news from her father. Apparently, there was an ongoing investigation about someone repeatedly stealing large qualities of honey from their family's honey farm. Honie had offered to put a pause on her matches, in order to come back and bring the culprit to justice, whenever they returned. But Mr. Bea insisted his daughter focus on LAW. She had just started. And the people of her hometown where gonna have to deal with things without their local heroine sometimes, including Honie's father himself.
Little did Beatrice know, she'd soon have a much closer baddie to deal with. After being told off by Antonia, Arachne found herself in LAW's café. And all eight of her eyes immediately fixed themselves on Honie, yet another girl in a bug-themed attire! Of course Widow decided she'd be introducing herself with her usual shenanigans. Honie was walking in the café, carrying a tub of honey chicken, trying to take her mind off the issues going on back home. When suddenly, she slipped and fell down, dropping her food on herself and on the floor. Arachne had placed a banana peel in the heavyweight's path! And she'd soon appear from hiding, laughing about Honie falling on her big "Bumble Butt". The killer bee wasn't really in the mood for this type of nonsense right now. She yelled in fury, before beginning to chase Arachne around the facility.
Ms. Spyder had fun with this at first. Honie was faster than Arachne expected, but the spider still had the edge in agility and speed. As such, Widow was able to outmaneuver Honie for a while, tricking the now reckless woman into crashing into things, making the bee angrier and angrier. They would soon make it to the lobby Antonia still was in, the tranquility of the ant's environment disrupted once more. Arachne got there first, before hiding behind Antonia's chair. She asked the ant not to reveal the spider's location to the bee that would be buzzing in soon. Considering the circumstances of their pervious interaction, Armie would tell Beatrice the heel's location out of spite. She smirked as the two loud ladies finally departed from the lobby and from her presence.
Thanks to Antonia, Honie eventually had Arachne cornered in a narrow hallway, trapped in a dead-end. This little game suddenly raised a fair bit more concern for the spider. Now as a talented wrestler, the villainess was far from defenseless. She could fight the hot-headed heroine of course. But she wasn't in an ideal, more spacious environment and Honie was admittedly rather intimidating. Thinking on her feet, the comedic villain instead put on a silly and dramatic show about: being foiled again, getting the heroine bee next time, that she hadn't seen the last of Arachne, etc. Honie was slowly but surely placated by this, finding it rather humorous. This allowed the bee's guard to be lowered enough, for Arachne to surprise her with a tickle feather! Beatrice collapsed on the ground, but she rather enjoyed being tickled. And when she was done laughing, her previous rage had left far from her mind!
Now in a much better mood, Honie's extremely friendly disposition had returned full swing. The cutie bee invited the evil spider to go with her to a nearby carnival that happened to be in town, and Arachne eagerly accepted. Honie had to prevent Arachne from starting mischief from time to time. But overall, they bounded greatly during this outing. Both bug girls were very extroverted and fun-loving, despite their opposing personas. Honie and Arachne would split up at some point, each bug girl going off to do different things at the event. And after socializing with a number of people, Honie eventually spotting Antonia at the carnival as well! The ant general was sitting on a bench, looking rather lonely. This of course prompted Honie to approach and speak to the blonde, attempting to cheer her up.
The conversation continued with Antonia inquiring as to what occurred, after she had told Honie where Arachne was. When Honie relayed that information to her, Antonia was flabbergasted. She expected Honie to physically retaliate against Arachne, which almost did happen, to be fair. The heroine and general then relayed the details of their prankish encounters with Arachne, with Honie concluding this seemed to be the spider's way of trying to befriend them! The blonde became embarrassed again, blushing deeply in response. Antonia had been incorrect about too many things in one day. No, one lifetime! First, she'd miscalculated the effectiveness of her chop. Next, she didn't once imagine the bee and the spider would become friends. And now this bee was telling her Arachne had tried to befriend her as well! Antonia was very flustered by this, prompting Honie to suggest the ant speak to Arachne again, before buzzing off. Humbled and jealous by this all this information, Antonia went off to do just that.
She eventually found the naughty lightweight hiding in a bush, staring intently at something. After the ant girl made herself known, Arachne was initially confused by the general's more friendly demeanor. Though the spider soon correctly theorized Antonia had an encounter with Honie and what that potentially implied. Arachne did have something Antonia could help her with, for the two to start getting on genuinely friendly terms. Arachne had been eyeing a honey bun stand, thinking it would be fun to steal a bunch of honey buns from there. On one hand, Antonia didn't see any logical purpose in doing so. On the other hand, now that she understood Arachne liked her, she wasn't exactly against the idea of becoming her friend. Making those had usually been challenging for the arrogant tweener, and she needed more. So Antonia offered to help out, the nerdy ant already having a plan.
Antonia had been traveling with a small robot, that she had made in her mechanized house. The blonde had brought said robot to this event with the intention to sell it, as an upgrade to a garden sprinkler. But she was now glad she hadn't gotten around to doing that yet. Arachne hadn't paid much attention to it before. But after Antonia explained her plan, the bot had the spider's full attention. The ant directed the bot with her Ant Gear, making it roll towards the honey bun stand. After it was there, it starting spraying water everywhere with a push of a button. This cleared out the surrounding people and distracted the saleswoman long enough for Arachne to make her move. She swept in, swiped as many honey buns as she could, and made it make to the bush, all without being noticed!
Well, without being noticed by everyone accept for Honie that is. The bee happened to arrive just as this mischief was playing out. Naturally, she confronted Arachne and Antonia about this, finding other bugs snickering together behind a bush. Honie was happy to see they were getting along much better, but still asserted that they still give the food they stole back. Antonia was indifferent either way, while Arachne protested. Before the heroine could take the plunder away, Arachne decided to shove one of the honey buns in Honie's mouth. Honie's eyes widened. Arachne had done this to try and convince the bee to not the return the delicious treats. But there was something else going through Beatrice's mind entirely. Honie recognized that taste anywhere. These honey buns had been made with honey from her dad's farm! In other words, that saleswoman was the fraudulent crook her pops had been concerned about!
Honie angrily relayed this newfound information to the other bug girls. Giving the honey buns back was now null and void, since Honie and her dad could sue this saleswomen for any and all profits she had made. And that's exactly what Antonia suggested to do, while Arachne pouted about the evilness of her nabbing being diminished by all this. But before Antonia finished explaining why suing would be the most logical thing to do, Honie was already in the process of taking justice into her owns hands! She marched right up to the honey bun stand, before lifting it clean up, to viciously slam it down over and over again! The other bugs watched in mild terror, as the killer bee reduced the stand to pieces! She then turned her attention to the saleswomen, scooping the stunned woman up. Honie brought her to behind the bush where the other bugs were for interrogation.
The fraudulent saleswoman denied stealing any honey from Honie's countryside property, and she refused to talk any further. The other bugs suggested Honie just rough her up, until she confessed to her crime. Though Honie had a better, and arguably a more merciful idea. She simply pinned the woman down and sat on her face, smothering the woman with her own "honey buns"! Symbolic, metaphoric, poetic justice and whatnot. And being smother-lovers themselves, the other bugs were quick to join in. The stubborn saleswoman found her face constantly subdued by big, buggy butts and boobs, while the three bug girls continued to and chat and bond. Eventually, after enduring a prolonged smother swarm and being driven to the brink of unconsciousness several times, the saleswoman finally confessed. After she swore not to steal from Honie's dad anymore, the heroine was merciful enough to let just her go, despite the bee's less compassionate friends suggesting to sue her anyway.
And that was a wrap! All three bug girls were friends now. And they soon became best friends, hanging out all the time! After Arachne and Antonia had also gotten rolling in LAW, it was clear as day to all three they should become a tag team stable! And after deciding on a team name, Honie, Antonia, and Arachne were ready to join and take on LAW's tag team division, to show the world what this trio of unlikely buggy besties could do! Thus enter: The Battle Bugs: Masters of the Swarm!
Relationships:
Honie & Antonia - Being the smartest member of The Battle Bugs, Antonia outclasses Honie in book smarts, strategic fighting, and general knowledge. However, Honie has more emotional intelligence than Antonia. This allows the bee to excel better in social situations, and makes it much easier for her to make friends. Antonia constantly teaches Honie not to let her often vivid and potentially reckless emotions be a detriment to her decision-making. While Honie constantly teaches the often cold Antonia, to be honest with her feelings and not to ignore the feelings of others. While they both still have a lot to learn, they respect each other enough to heed each other's advice when it counts. Honie is also a good moral influence on Antonia, often putting a well-meaning humility check on the general's usually pompous disposition.
Arachne & Honie - As one would expect from a villainess and heroine, Arachne and Honie bicker a fair bit. But their bickering is extremely sisterly in nature, and it's clear they care about each other immensely. Because Honie has the mindset of a genuine hero, in contrast to Arachne coming a across as a more of a comedic villain, the two usually get along well. And both women being fun-loving and extroverted certainly helps. Honie can also sense Arachne's aura isn't all that bad at her very core, whether the spider admits this or not. And as such, Beatrice was relatively quick to warm up to her. Despite not encouraging her unprovoked villainy, Honie doesn't treat Arachne with nearly the same amount of hostility she'll show to most heels. And Arachne actively supports the heroine, even when slightly annoyed that it makes her appear less villainous in turn. Despite the two often embarrassing each other, they'll both proclaim their friendship with conviction and without hesitation.
Antonia & Arachne - Arachne is a bad moral influence on Antonia, often bringing out a more mischievous side of her. When it comes the the spider's evil schemes, Antonia is indifferent at best and an active participate at worse. She's indifferent to Arachne's conduct, when she sees no logical purpose behind it, other than than heel simply having fun. But if Antonia can gain useful information from it, such as a rival team's weaknesses, then she's completely down. Armie has learned to really enjoy the spider's company, as things are always interesting when Widow's around. And Arachne is prone to get her commonly dignified and serious friend, to loosen up and have a bit of fun, often at the expense of others. Antonia appreciates that Arachne's much more clever than her silly disposition gives off, and the two often strategize together.
Team Member Roles:
Honie (The Muscle)- Honie functions as The Battle Bugs' muscle. As a tank and a powerhouse, she can unleash tons of damage and often endure plenty of damage from their foes. The heavyweight high-flyer being on the faster end of her weight division being a plus. Beatrice's aim is to leave their opponents so rattled up, that they become completely vulnerable to Antonia's surgical strikes and Arachne's excruciating submission holds. While all the bugs like to use smothers, Honie is the best at doing so. The bee can also be considered the ace of the team, being the one their adversaries may struggle with the most, also having the most resolve of the three.
Antonia (The Leader)- As the wisest member overall, Antonia is the strategic leader of The Battle Bugs. She plans out strategies both before and during matches, Honie and Arachne following them in turn. The general will often direct her soldiers during matches, with the other Bugs trusting her enough to follow her instructions on instinct, even if they don't fully understand why at the time. Due to Antonia's skill in hitting her foe's weak spots, she's the most devastating striker of the trio. She's also the one that fight's the most defensively, often waiting to respond to her opponent's moves.
Arachne (The Wild Card)- Arachne has a number of aspects to her that make her the team's wild card. First, her speed excels enough to outmaneuver and confuse many foes. Next, her ability to endure punishment is great and perhaps surprising for her lightweight status. And at times, Arachne will bend or break rules, mostly for fun. And she's most prone to do so, by using items from her Thorax Backpack. How much or how little she'll cheat depends on numerous factors, including match stipulations and her teammates' opinions. But regardless, Arachne is the team's most unpredictable member. It's worth keeping a sharp eye on her, if you can keep up with her agility that is.
Special Team Moves:
Double Sting - The Battle Bugs with stingers, Honie and Antonia, will slam an opponent with both their plump, formidable backsides at once! The exact form of this move varies by circumstance, either being a double hip attack or double butt drop!

- The Battle Bugs represent the three main wrestling alignments, with Honie being a face, Antonia being a tweener, and Arachne being a heel. This is also represented with their titles of a heroine, war general (morally vague), and villainess respectively.
- The Battle Bugs also represent the three DnD alignments that are farthest any from each other on the spectrum. Honie's lawful good, as her tendency to act on emotion is ultimately kept in line, by her strong, personal moral code. Antonia's true neutral, making decisions (whether good or evil) based on what makes the most logical sense in her mind. Arachne is chaotic evil, acting in accordance to her villainous whims and what would be the most fun, even if it inconveniences someone else.
- Each member of The Battle Bugs is in a different weight class. Honie being a heavyweight, Antonia being a middleweight, and Arachne being a lightweight.
- Antonia has a mask like Arachne and has a stinger like Honie. This symbolically represents her connection as a tweener between the two of them. This symbolism is also reflected in her being the middleweight of the trio.
- Arachne's the only Battle Bug who's attire consists of a color (purple) not naturally associated with the real-life bug. This can be seen as a metaphor for her being the most chaotic of the three.
- All of the bug girls are tomboyish. Antonia's the closest to being a "girly girl" of the three, but her general persona pushes her into the tomboyish category.
- Antonia's the only bug that had both of her parents in her life. Honie only had her father, since her mother left him. And Arachne only had her mother, since her father passed away.
- The Battle Bugs each grew up in three different types of communities. With Honie a rural area, with Antonia a urban area, and with Arachne a suburban area.
- Antonia and Arachne both have nicknames for Honie, calling her "Honey Buns" and "Bumble Butt" respectively. Antonia being the most logically accurate, as Honie's based on a honeybee rather than a bumblebee, with Arachne not really caring for the difference.
- Antonia takes on the leadership role in matches, Arachne functions as second-in-command in this regard, and Honie has the most moral authority overall. But despite these positions, The Battle Bugs generally treat each other as equals.
- Antonia tends to endearingly refer to the other members of The Battle Bugs by: "My larva." or "My larvae."
- As the morally gray member of The Battle Bugs, Antonia is the one most influenced by the other two, despite her position as leader.
- Both Honie and even Arachne will sometimes assist Antonia in the ant's training of Young Lionesses.
- Antonia is the only member of The Battle Bugs that has some signature moves, without bug-themed names.
- The Battle Bugs were all born in America, with Honie being African American, Antonia being Asian American, and Arachne simply being American.
